I professionally walked and trained dogs, both big and small, and professionally cared for cats when I lived in DC and since then in various places. I love animals of all kinds and have taken care of neighborhood and family pets since I was a kid. I have 2 lovely cats of my own, both of whom I've taught fun tricks like spin, follow, etc. Animals are a gift and I genuinely enjoy them! I'm communicative and you'll get an update multiple times a day. I send delightful furr-baby pictures of your fluff-nugget enjoying and relaxing with me. I am comfortable administering medicine to both cats and dogs. I offer transparency in my communication and am upfront about what support I can provide. I ask for the same transparency from my clients in their needs, pets habits, and training levels. If you would like to book me for house-sitting services, please also note any specific medical and/or timing support requests. Note, other responsibilities sometimes require me to be gone for 4 - 6 hours during housesits. Happy to discuss and accommodate pre-requests around schedules.

I offer walks, play time, cuddle time, and reinforce training while I spend time with doggos. Cats include (dependent on how interactive) play time, cuddle/pet time, and for some kitties who want more space, but want company- nearby hang outs.

We have been using Kristen to care for our old man, Willie, for over a year now and we truly couldn’t ask for anyone better! She is caring, dependable, always on time and takes the absolute best care of him. Most importantly, Willie absolutely LOVES her! She has truly become part of our family and it is such a relief to have someone we completely trust caring for him and our home when we’re away. I genuinely don’t worry about him at all when he’s with Kristen—and that peace of mind is priceless. She also leaves the house in incredible shape during her stay. We are so grateful for her!

Kristen was a wonderful sitter for our dog and cat, I could tell immediately during our meet-and-greet that she’s a huge animal lover! Both our pets were very well cared for, and we got lots of great photo updates of their time together while we were away. Our dog is older and she was very thoughtful of letting him walk as long as he liked without overdoing it in the summer heat. I would highly recommend Kristen!

Schedule
Currently, I work remotely with some flexibility. I enjoy building out my weeks to include wonderful cats and dogs. Housesitting often means I work remotely part of the day at your house + sleep there. Happy to fill my flex time playing with your furrbabies.
