About: My family and friends have entrusted me to take care of their pets many times these last few years. The last 3 summers I have been lucky enough to do long-term stays with my friend's 4 dogs and cat to help build my experience with pets. Additionally, my family has 2 Rhodesian Ridgebacks of our own, so I am no stranger to larger dogs! I am currently working part-time on the weekends so my week is normally pretty free. Since I am an incoming college student, I have some commitments throughout the summer, but have no problem talking about those with clients! I will treat your pets as if they were my own and make them as comfortable as possible while you are away. I understand that each pet has their own unique needs, and am willing to work with your pet to build a trusting relationship that will last for future visits. I am an expert at caring for cats! I have 2 of my own and have cared for others as well. I will care for even the shyest cat, and make sure they get the necessary care they need. I’ve cared for kittens to seniors, and have some experience administering medical treatment. (Non-professional). Some of my specialties with dogs include, but are not limited to: long walks (as many times as desired), quality time with your pet, sensitivity to medical conditions or stress levels, ability to follow given instructions and obtain the necessary knowledge prior to visit, willingness to research when needed. I’ve taken care of large breeds like Bernese mountain and pit-bulls, sporting breeds like retrievers and a basenji, and other small breeds like hounds, terriers, chihuahuas and more! I’ve had experience with puppies and pregnant mothers, all the way to senior dogs. I don’t mind staying at your pet’s home overnight if they require the company, additional home sitting duties can be discussed prior to the first visit. I have cared for many small animals. This includes: Hamsters, guinea pigs, rabbits, fish and more! I don’t mind learning about your pet and will do the necessary research when I need to. My siblings and I have all owned different pets growing up, so I have a love for all types of pets! I currently work full time as a Veterinary clinic receptionist here in Frederick during the week. I have flexibility to care for your pet before work, during my lunch break (based on distance from clinic), and afterward.
