“Casey and her partner, Hung, are absolutely wonderful. Our two dogs and two cats did not like staying in boarding when we went away before, so we thought we'd try someone staying at our house. We found Casey on Rover, chatted through the app, and decided to try the service Casey is absolutely fantastic. One of our pets has special needs and Casey took great care of her. She sent us photos and updates regularly, and it seems our fur-babies have made two new friends. When we got back they had bought the pets some treats and left us a very kind note. I 100% recommend Casey for looking after your pets!!”

“April came and stayed with our new rescue, Willow. We were apprehensive because we have never left her before and she is still crate training. I would highly recommend April and we’re so glad we found her.”

About: My family and I had a dog named Honey who we loved dearly, but sadly lost in a house fire around two years ago. I love dogs, and I really miss having one around. I thought Rover would be a great way to care for dogs and make some money on the side! I have experience as an emotional support assistant for students with mental disabilities, a role that demands great patience and understanding. I study Mechanical Engineering Asynchronously, and I work as a barista part-time. When I’m not working I’m usually studying, so I thought why not pack up my work and petsit while I study! My academic and professional lives require great attention to detail, so any sets of specific rules/schedules for any pet(s) under my care will be followed diligently!

About: I have had a love for animals since I was a young child. At the age of 8, against my parents wishes I snuck in an abandoned cat and it ended up being where my love for animals began. We have had many types of pets since then. Currently we have a 3 year-old German Shepherd whom we rescued from a shelter at 4 months of age. We also have a 1 year old Australian Cattle dog who is super energetic. I love spending time with animals, dogs in particular, because they are so playful, happy and full of unconditional love. I am responsible, caring and will take great care of you pet because I know that they are not only “pets” but are also members of your family. I will care for your pet like I would care for my own pets. I work full-time as a nurse practitioner but just started working some days from home. I figured, why not do something I love while also getting exercise at the same time. Note: the only breed of dog that I will not board in my home are pitbulls. My daughter had a traumatic experience with a pitbull so she is very triggered by that breed. I will gladly watch pitbulls in your home and care for them outside of my home. I think they do get a bad reputation for being an aggressive breed but due to our experience, we unfortunately don’t feel comfortable having them around our children. I am able to mainly available for pet care on the weekends. I am able to accomplish most evening/late evening or very early morning walks. Every other Tuesday I work from home so am able to break up my schedule this day. I care for my dogs in my backyard, which is fenced in. She is able to run around freely because we do have a large yard which allows her to burn off her energy. We also play fetch and she is able to spend a lot of her time running around there. We also go for walks around the neighborhood.

About: Hi there! My name is Anna and I am an occupational therapist working in the western suburbs of Chicago. I recently lost my 12 year old greyhound named Ringo. I have taken care of many cats and dogs over the years and love to help out when I can. I was a professional dog walker with Windy City Paws where I dropped in on cats and walked many dogs, and I’ve also worked for Wag in the past and have and loved it! I used Rover once before as a consumer and left Ringo for a few nights with a wonderful couple while I visited my family and it worked out so well! I am typically available for walks or drop ins during the week. I love being outdoors and taking care of animals of all kinds and would love to meet yours!! I work as a home health occupational therapist, and my schedule is very flexible. I schedule time with my patients to see them throughout the day, and can schedule my pet appointments that way too! I have been professionally trained to walk and care for dogs by Windy City Paws, and know most leash/collar/harness situations as well as defensive dog walking strategies if I meet a sensitive pup while I am walking a dog.

About: I’ve always loved all pets! Grew up raising all kinds of farm animals. I currently have 2 dogs and I love taking them on adventures! I have a hybrid work schedule. WFH 2-3 days out of the week. I am a home body so I am usually at home if I’m not at work. I have plenty of time to focus on my pups! I treat my dogs as if this is their home and want them as comfortable as they can be. My dogs are always allowed on the bed and couches and roam as they please. They eat twice a day and have endless access to potty breaks in the back yard! The most I am out of the house is when I have to go to work, and can usually stop by for lunch and let them potty!

“We are so grateful to Anthony for spending the weekend with our Sophie. She's a great judge of character and she took to him immediately. All the neighbors have commented on how well he worked with her and how happy she seemed. We will unquestionably rely on Anthony in the future. He is marvelous!”

“To whom it may concern, I’m happy to recommend Hailey Salgado for the position for a pet caregiver/walker. Not only is she responsible and trustworthy, she is also kindhearted and genuinely caring towards everyone she has come across. Hailey has looked after my dog several times and I cannot recommend a more capable person for the job. She puts the effort into every part of the care whether it’s a big or small task. Whether it’s making sure the dog is being properly fed, playtime or just hanging out and keeping them company. Just know she will do everything with a smile on her face and from the kindness in her heart. You can count on her to go the extra mile not just because she has to, but because she genuinely loves animals and cares for them like her own. You can trust her to follow any care instructions and is easy to communicate with.”
