About: I grew up around horses and learned to respect all living creatures large and small. We always had pets at home and they gravitated towards me because I like to play and have fun with them. I had a cat for 16 years in my youth and loved her so much. Kitties will always have a special place in my heart. I have had many pets over the years and my most recent were two rescue shepherd/husky mix wonderful family members. They were brother and sister and both passed away. I make sure my pets get a healthy balance of play, structure, and rest. With my dog, I focus on plenty of playtime and ongoing training, which helps her burn energy and settle into naps while I work. My cat prefers a calmer routine and spends most of her day relaxing in her own space, but I always make time for snuggles and connection so she feels loved and secure.
