“Beyond happy with Christine! She took care of our baby just as we would! Thoughtful and loving! We hope to have her be Clover’s sitter from now on! Can’t say enough good things!!”

“This was my first time being away from my dog and I was so nervous leading up to it but Marion was so calm, helpful, and flexible with setting up the boarding. The photos and updates she shared with me gave me piece of mind while I was on my work trip nad I came back to a very happy dog. Would definitely rebook with her for any trips or daycare needs!”

“Jesse was so kind, patient, and considerate! I was very nervous about getting a sitter for my senior dog during my wedding weekend as he has trauma and separation anxiety, but Jesse took wonderful care of him, with frequent walks around the neighborhood to explore and plenty of pics and updates. It made such a huge difference in my stress levels to know he was safe and cared for. Will absolutely book again next time we are in the area!”

“Citlali and her family were amazing and super accommodating. I would definitely recommend her b/c my dog is extremely apprehensive with people but warmed up to her right away. Going to be booking with her again for sure if she’s available when I leave town again😊”

“Carol was an incredible sitter during our trip! We felt so fortunate to leave our beloved and somewhat spoiled mini golden doodle, Augie, in the hands of both Annabelle and Carol. Their warmth and genuine care made all the difference for him. Augie was so happy and well-fed during his stay, which is quite an achievement given his picky eating habits! We would absolutely choose Carol again if given the chance. She was incredibly responsible with our precious pup and even accommodated us by allowing a late pickup. Thank you, Carol, for providing such a loving space for our furry Baby!”

“Johemy was amazing with our Daisy! She sent us daily pics, and it was obvious Daisy thrived in her care. Excellent communication from the very start. We would enthusiastically recommend her to anyone in need of a pet sitter! Thank you so much Johemy!”

“This was my second time using Rover so there’s still some hesitation on my part. However, Kalikonani was amazing! I have a senior dog so knowing that she had a senior pup of her own, made me feel relieved that she’d understand my dog. She provided pics, updates, and was a great communicator. I definitely recommend her and will be booking with her again in the future :)”

“Donna was absolutely wonderful with Fiona! 🐾 She gave her great care and attention the entire stay, and I could tell Fiona felt right at home. Donna kept communication clear and friendly, which really gave me peace of mind while I was away. I highly recommend her to anyone looking for a kind, responsible, and trustworthy sitter — we’ll definitely be booking with her again!”

“Again, Christina and crew did a great job taking care of our dog, Bruno! Sent videos and pics daily so we could be reassured he was enjoying himself in their care. Thank you!!!🐶❤️”

“Such a loving and caring family. My dogs walked in as if they walked into their home. I left them feeling confident that they were in good hands. Cecilia is great in communication and sending pitfie updates we would definitely go back.”

“We had a great experience with Nina! She was kind and communicative, has a wonderful backyard for the dogs to play in, and her own dog was a great playmate for our dog Daisy. She also sent us updates with photos during Daisy’s stay, which we really appreciated. Daisy was well cared for, happy, and came home in great spirits. We felt confident she was in good hands and wouldn’t hesitate to book with Nina again.”

“Yessina and Sophie and their 3 children were the perfect introduction for my 6 month old puppy, Pixie, to experience her 1st dog sitters! They were very kind and gentle with her and her shyness didn’t faze them. Buster my 8 year old terrier who is cautious around strangers, but a real gentleman, picked his spots to lay down and wait patiently and was calm when I arrived. Even though both dogs refused to eat while they were there for the day, I was very happy with the care given by this family. They really listened to me and followed my suggestions! I’m planning on returning and rebooking with them!”

I would highly recommend her services to everyone and for sure will book with her again! ”

About: I’m the mom to a cat named Zeppelin, a dog named Stevie and a horse named Cece. I successfully trained both Stevie and Zeppelin (yes you can train a cat!) myself and have dabbled in equine training as well. Being the guardian of a nervous, reactive pup, I pride myself on understanding animal behavior and dog body language. After bringing Stevie home, I was quickly thrown into the world of dog training and behavior modification out of necessity and I have a special place in my heart for nervous pups. I've even started training other people's dogs on the side! After training my own dog, I fell in love with the process and couldn't put it down! I’ve also worked in a veterinary office and feel confident in my abilities to keep your animals safe and know how to handle emergencies. I’m a lab assistant for an environmental toxicology lab and train dogs on the side. I am available for drop ins and walks in the late afternoon and evening most days as well as any time on Sunday’s. At this time I am not available for boarding or overnight stays. I’ll treat your pets like I treat my own, all of mine are rescues that took time, patience and trust to get to where we are now. I understand that having a new person around might be scary for your pet at first but I look forward to building a relationship with them so we all feel safe and comfortable. Having a nervous, reactive dog and a nervous cat has taught me how to better understand dog and cat body language and to go at their own pace.
“Sonia is amazing! She patiently worked with me to create a schedule that worked for us both. She sent daily check-ins with pictures and promptly responded to any message I sent. I was worry-free my entire trip knowing my pets were in good hands. I will definitely reach out to her next time I travel.”

“Our girls love Marion and so do we! She great with communication and great with our girls. She let us know when our hound was acting different and sent plenty of pictures so we got to see our girls. We’re happy to have someone we can trust with our girls whenever we need a sitter”

“Claudia was fantastic! Coordination was super easy and her communication was great. Her updates, pictures, and videos were the best part and gave us peace of mind knowing our cats were in good hands. I highly recommend her and she is #1 on our list next time we go out of town.”

About: Longtime, trusted petsitter for neighbors and friends, with extensive volunteer experience including lead dog walker at a local shelter and rescue transporter. I look forward to meeting you and your pet! I currently work full-time during the week but have evening availability on Thursdays and Fridays, with open availability on weekends. I can accommodate drop-in visits during weekday lunch hours in the Oldtown/Downtown Monterey area. Please message me with any questions about availability or scheduling. I love taking dogs for neighborhood walks with plenty of time for sniffing, playing with their favorite toys, giving lots of affection and belly rubs, and simply keeping them company while you’re away. I’m happy to follow any special instructions, routines, or care requirements.

“Kirby took care of my two kitties while I was away, and she did a wonderful job! She was great with communication, punctual, and she provided pictures/updates with every visit. I would definitely trust her to look after them again!”

“Kalikonani is a lovely young lady who kindly cares for her dog and another small, older dog. She asked several questions before accepting the booking to be sure it would be a comfortable and safe environment for those (charming) dogs and mine. She gave me a detailed account of the entire time my dog was there with several photos. I would definitely book her again if I lived in the area or if I visit again.”

“Sam and Yuchen provided daycare for us while we did a quick half day to the aquarium. Elphie is new to rover day care and they did amazing and accommodating. They are also super quick to reply whenever I sent a message which is a whole 5 stars in its own. Will definitely contact them again for dog sitting when we are in the area”

“Jesse took great care of our dog Kiké when we took a last-minute day trip. He gave Kiké plenty of walks, sent pictures and updates, and kindly accommodated a late pick-up time. Thanks you, Jesse!”

About: What sets me apart is my lifelong passion for animals and extensive hands-on experience caring for them. I’ve been a dog owner since I was 15, and I currently have two French Bulldogs, which has given me a deep understanding of breed-specific needs, puppy energy, and senior pet care. Over the years, I’ve learned how to read dogs’ body language, understand their moods, and respond calmly and effectively to keep them safe and happy. Professionally, I’ve worked in both an animal hospital and a doggy daycare, where I gained experience with feeding routines, administering basic care, monitoring health and behavior, and handling pets of all sizes and temperaments. I’m also skilled in creating structured routines, providing gentle exercise, and giving extra love and attention to pets who need it, like seniors or shy dogs. I pride myself on being reliable, patient, and attentive. I make sure to communicate clearly with pet owners, providing regular updates and photos so they can feel confident and at ease while they’re away. For me, every pet deserves individualized care, respect, and affection, and I treat each one as if they were my own. My combination of personal experience, professional training, and genuine love for animals ensures that every pet in my care feels safe, happy, and truly cared for. Caring for pets is part of my daily routine. I make sure they get fed, exercised, and plenty of love every day, and I stay on top of any special needs or routines. I enjoy spending time with them and making sure they feel happy, safe, and well cared for. I care for pets by keeping them safe, comfortable, and happy. I follow their routines, supervise playtime and walks, provide lots of love and attention, and make sure the environment is clean and secure. I also watch for any signs of stress or health issues so pets always feel well cared for.

I felt so confident that he would be okay with her. 10/10 recommend her with your pets. Thank you Mary!”

About: My preferred name is Artemisia (my legal name is Paola), and I’ll be your pet’s main sitter and caretaker. I share my home with my boyfriend, Ahmed, who may occasionally lend a hand here and there, but I’m the person responsible for your pet’s care, communication, walks, feeding, and day to day routine. I believe animals deserve the absolute best care, and I treat every pet like they’re my own. I grew up with both cats and dogs and currently care for an adorable cat and two puppies, so I’m very familiar with different personalities, energy levels, routines, and needs. I work from home, which means your pet will have lots of attention, care, and supervision throughout the day. I bring a calm, intuitive presence and really take the time to get to know each animal and what makes them feel safe and comfortable. Whether your pet loves long walks, playtime and a little training, or would rather have a cozy day full of naps and cuddles, I tailor their care to what they enjoy most (usually a mix of both!). I live in a house with a large backyard, so there’s plenty of space to play and get outside. Ahmed is also an animal lover and may be around during your pet’s stay, but I am the primary caretaker for all bookings and will be the one you communicate with about your pet. Whether you’re traveling, working, or simply need an extra hand, you can feel confident knowing your pet will be in a safe, loving, and attentive environment with someone who genuinely cares about making their time away from you as comfortable and happy as possible. I work from home, so your pet will have company and care throughout most of the day alongside my own pets. If your dog enjoys walks or outings like the beach, I’d love to include them with mine. Otherwise, they’ll be relaxing at home in a calm, attentive environment and won’t be left alone for more than about an hour (if they’re comfortable with short periods of alone time). I make sure my pets get a healthy balance of play, structure, and rest. With my dog, I focus on plenty of playtime and ongoing training, which helps her burn energy and settle into naps while I work. My cat prefers a calmer routine and spends most of her day relaxing in her own space, but I always make time for snuggles and connection so she feels loved and secure. I’m very attentive to each pet’s needs and energy levels. If a dog becomes tired or overstimulated, I’m happy to crate them for a peaceful reset if that’s part of their routine. For cats, I create a cozy, quiet space where they can feel safe and comfortable throughout the day. There is plenty of room in our house and yard to create separate spaces for pets to have their own areas (for sleep, food, play, etc.) if that is what they prefer. ❤️
“We needed a last minute sitter and Morgan was super responsive and was able to help us out! Daphne got a hike in and came back worn out in a good way! We definitely recommend her and will book again in the future!”

“Marion is absolutely the BEST! Marion is patient, gentle, and kind. Marion took a chance walking my two rescue dogs who are recover from severe abuse. With being new to Monterey, having a 4 month old puppy, my boyfriend out of town and working one hour away from home, I didn’t worry about my dog while in Angie’s care. I really appreciated being able to be at work and know my dog was in good hands. Thank you Angie!”

“Carol agreed in Oct to have visits to meet our dog in preparation for Xmas trip. Our dog is really scared of strangers. It took 6-7 visits for our dog to get used to Carol. Carol was very patient with it. She was flexible working out times and was able to do some walking visits at Xmas. She contacted us with updates and questions and we felt like our dog was in good hands. We will continue to work with Carol now that our dog has another person she likes! ”

“Claudia has been great to work with! She’s been very understanding of my concerns about this high auto-traffic area, and she’s been fantastic with my dog, who just adores her! Very trustworthy and reliable!”

About: I have a deep love and passion for animals. I have cared for many types including cats, dogs, snakes, rabbits, even insects! I recently relocated, so I am offering discounted rates as well as a promo code for first time Rover users: DANIEA95969 If you have a dog with reactivity, I am happy to help! Reactivity can be a stressful matter for owners to endure with their pet, but that doesn't mean they don't deserve to be outside and explore. Feel free to message me with questions if you would like to set up walks with your reactive dog. I also have experience with senior dog care including walking challenges, diaper changes, and oral medication. No matter the breed or size, I will care for them like my own. I am happy to do day walks, at-home visits, overnights, boarding etc. I will do my best to accommodate any repeat clients as I want your pets to feel bonded and comfortable with me! I will always put your pet's comfort and happiness first! I know with my own dog that trusting a stranger with your fur baby can be nerve wracking, but I can assure you, your pet will be in great hands.
“Helen took great care of my almost 10 week kitten! I was a little nervous since he was so young but I could tell she (and her family) loved him like their own for the week she watched him. She sent me photos and videos every day, which was awesome too.”

“Athena was great with my dog, Donner! She was able to watch him with only a few days notice. Took him on walks and updated us with pictures. It was so nice for Donner to get all the attention being the only dog there. I will definitely be booking Donner for another stay in the future. Thank you so much Athena and Will for giving Donner the best care while we were on vacation!”

“All I can say is that Asja was a complete professional. We have a large German Sheppard with a ton on energy and we have never left him with anyone before so we were worried he’d be too much. However, Asja took such great care of him, everyday taking him for walks or to the park, giving him love and attention, and communicating with us daily. He was clearly well taken care of and very well loved. We 100% recommend Asja for any pet services. She is the best we could ever have hoped for!”

“Jill was so amazing with our dog, Meike! We were so nervous to leave her for the first time, but she was in great hands. Jill was amazing at giving her love and making her feel comfortable. She also made sure to play with her daily. We loved the daily updates and pictures. We would recommend Jill and will definitely be contacting her if we need a pet sitter in the future. She’s amazing!”

About: I’ve taken care of two dogs and three cats at one time. I have house sat for two families and have no problem doing it again! I have experience working with big dogs, small dogs, disabled dogs, and have even given medication to dogs in pill form. I am not allergic to cats or dogs and I’m very stern on the animal getting comfortable with me in their own time. I am a stay-at-home wife, so I have all the time in the world. I don't have all the energy in the world though. I go for walks on nice days with my own dog often, but more than that, I can't because of health reasons. In my home, my animals don't have a set schedule or regimen. I go with their ques and roll with their punches. I can follow a schedule to the T if said baby needs one, especially for medications! I treat every animal (even strays) with love and care as if they were my own.
“Riley was great! They sent a lot of updates and photos during my pet’s stay, which gave me real peace of mind while I was away. It was clear my pet was well cared for, comfortable, and getting plenty of attention. Communication was easy the whole time, and Riley was very responsive to messages. I’d definitely trust them to watch my pet again and would happily recommend them to anyone looking for a reliable and caring sitter.”

“Maria and Gregory were amazing! They took great care of our Labradoodle Daisy over a long weekend and treated her like Family. Maria and Greg provided updates every day to keep us up to date, and Daisy really seemed to like them evident by her good mood when we picked her up. Thank you Maria and Gregory!”

“Kristin was very easy to deal with very accommodating opening her home to our two pups. She and family took them for walks and made sure they were comfortable over night. We appreciated her caring.”
