About: Hello! I am a dog mom to a senior pup and a trained “doggy day out” volunteer at the SPCA Monterey County animal shelter. I would love to help care for your furry sweethearts! I believe in treating pets with kindness and using fear-free, cooperative-care approaches whenever possible so they can feel safe and comfortable. I primarily work from home, which gives me flexibility during the week, and I have a lot of weekend availability for your pet care needs. Your pet’s safety and comfort are very important to me. About: I grew up next to a dog park and spent most of my free time around dogs, learning their personalities, body language, and energy naturally from a young age. I began pet sitting during my teen and college years, and over time developed a strong ability to help animals feel safe, comfortable, and understood. While attending school in Boston, I also worked at a pet supply shop, where I regularly interacted with dogs and their owners and further developed my understanding of pet care, behavior, routines, and different personality types. Professionally, I work as a Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) and caregiver, which has strengthened my skills in patience, consistency, structure, emotional awareness, and reading behavior cues. I’m especially good with sensitive, shy, anxious, high-energy, or routine-oriented pets because I naturally bring a grounded and calming presence. I understand the importance of reliability, communication, and maintaining routines that help pets feel secure while their owners are away. Whether that means energetic walks and playtime, quiet companionship, or extra attentiveness to specific needs, I adapt to each pet individually. I also have experience caring for pets in clients’ homes and understand the importance of respecting both the animal’s environment and the family’s space. Pet care fits very naturally into my routine, and I genuinely enjoy creating consistent, attentive care for animals throughout the week. Currently, I’m available for morning care and walks until noon, as well as evening care after 7 PM on weekdays. I also have open availability on Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays for pet sitting, extended care, and overnight stays. About: I like to be active and go on runs or walks, so I can do any activity like that with your dog(s); whether we're playing fetch, going on walks/runs, visiting the park, etc. and I am a very patient and loving person! It would be a pleasure to have fun with your dog(s) in any capacity! I have experience house/dog sitting and running with even the most energetic dogs! I also have experience of taking care of puppies and understand the commitment level and patience to hang out with a puppy! I am capable of taking out dogs for walks or playing frequently. I would love to hear more about your pets and how I can help out! I work nearby in Monterey and some days I work from home. I can walk early mornings or after work days. I am flexible and can be available for weekends. I can do walks or runs in various areas. I have a small backyard, concrete/dirt mix where my dog has space to run and play fetch. It is all enclosed, and theres even a fake grass patch for dogs. I walk mornings and evenings and can also run dogs with extra energy. I work from home some days of the week so can be with dog for longer parts of the day and schedule can be flexible depending on needs.

“We hired Lauren to watch our three pups in our home. One of our dogs is a senior with advanced Cushing's Disease and is diabetic. It's been so long since we were able to get away and enjoy ourselves for an extended period of time because of Baxter's medical issues. We needed someone to come and stay in our home and have the knowledge and ability to respond to his medical needs as well as meet the needs of our other two pups. Lauren did all of that for us. She's a professional through and through, wonderful personality and incredibly flexible with us. It's such a relief to know our pets are in her hands so we can enjoy our time away. I worked with my own dog, and he earned his STAR Puppy certificate. We are currently working on Canine Good Citizen certification through AKC.
