“We feel lucky to have had Jesse dog sit for us. He is very kind and caring. He honored our care instructions and we are grateful for that. Widget was very happy after his stay with Jesse.”

“Denise is the best! I was dreading leaving my dog and Denise reassured me before and during shortie’s stay. She sent me many updates. Shortie had a BLAST!!!!! I feel so much better now knowing that there is someone I can trust leaving shortie with. Thank you so much for taking care of Shortie!!!!!”

“Johemy was amazing with our Daisy! She sent us daily pics, and it was obvious Daisy thrived in her care. Excellent communication from the very start. We would enthusiastically recommend her to anyone in need of a pet sitter! Thank you so much Johemy!”

“Wow, I am beyond happy that I found Marion to watch my dogs. She goes above and beyond. She takes very good care of them and sends pictures throughout their stay. She is also very easy to communicate with. She watched my dogs Sierra and Simba. Sierra is a 10 year old golden retriever, and Simba is a 16 year old Pekingese. Simba is blind and deaf. He is a very old dog. She did an incredible job with both dogs. She wiped and cleaned the eye boogers out of my elderly dog’s eyes and changed his diapers (he’s incontinent). She made sure the dogs got so much love and attention throughout the day. The dogs had free range of a fenced yard and were allowed up on the furniture. Sierra loves to hang out on furniture. I am so happy I came across Marion. The dogs were very well cared for. My heart is happy. I know exactly where to take them if I ever need a dog sitter. Thank you so much, Marion. -Kelsey”

“Nina was an excellent and communicative sitter for my dog. She has a great yard and I think my dog already misses it! Nina’s dog Ranie is a great playmate and kindly shared her toys with my dog. I just moved to this area, so I feel really lucky to have found Nina right away!”

“Christina was amazing with keeping us updated with our fur babies. Picked them up and they of course where happy to us but can tell they where sad to leave. If we need a dog sitter again I the future will go with Christian.”

“Citladi took exceptional care of Claire, making her right at home! She touched base and sent me a few photos but did not feel the need to be in constant contact with me which I appreciated. I felt great that Claire was having a fun, safe and comfortable stay!”

“Chris is great with my dog. I have complete trust in her knowing that she not only likes dogs, but she's a veterinary technician who knows a lot about dog behavior and health. In fact, she trained Darla to paw at bells when she needs to go outside (it worked!). Most importantly, she makes Darla's time w/her a positive one by taking her on walks to the beach and the frog pond. I always feel like she's getting a little "dog-cation" while I'm away.”

About: I have had dogs all of my life, all breeds and all ages. We are a family of 6, Mom, Dad, our 12 yr old daughter and our 3 fur babies. We dedicate our time to making them happy and live a full life. We have volunteered to foster puppies through the SPCA and pet sit for family as well. Our home is cozy with a good size backyard. All dogs would sleep indoors and have someone with them at all times since We work from home. We currently work from home so there will always be someone home with your pet. We can go for short or long walks a couple times per day and they have full access to to indoor and outdoor throughout the day. We have a fenced backyard and can separate rooms with baby gates if needed. There’s a doggy door in the garage to the backyard and two separate runners. We have a soon to be 5 yr old German shepherd, a 9 yr old rescue chihuahua and our old man a 10 yr old Shih Tzu. They are spayed/neutered and get along great with other dogs. You will have the option to have your pet sleep in the living room alongside our dogs or in a separate room.
“Carol was an incredible sitter during our trip! We felt so fortunate to leave our beloved and somewhat spoiled mini golden doodle, Augie, in the hands of both Annabelle and Carol. Their warmth and genuine care made all the difference for him. Augie was so happy and well-fed during his stay, which is quite an achievement given his picky eating habits! We would absolutely choose Carol again if given the chance. She was incredibly responsible with our precious pup and even accommodated us by allowing a late pickup. Thank you, Carol, for providing such a loving space for our furry Baby!”

“Samantha was very active with Zoe and kept me informed throughout her entire stay. Her flexibility made my trip stress free and it was nice knowing Zoe was doing good the whole time. I am so grateful to have found her and will use her again in the future.”

“Athena opened up her home to Chestnut on a short notice. Our pup had enough room to walk about and sniff. Drop off ad pick up were easy and her communication was quick. Definitely will be utilizing her services again”

“Asta was amazing with my dog! I was looking for someone who could care for Sally while I visited home for the holidays, and she was available and happy to help. They went out for walks together, hung out inside, and socialized with Asta's extremely chill dog. She sent photos and videos to update me on what they were up to each day, and I could always reach her while I was on my trip. I'll definitely have Sally stay over again!”
“Everything was great. We had to postpone to another day due to weather and Kristin was flexible and understanding. Great communication before and during. Kristin sent pics of our dog and he seemed happy!”

About: Although I have more cat experience, I would love the opportunity to become a dog sitter & work with diverse dog personalities. I have experience in the basic dog care such as feeding, walks, plays, and cleaning. I am eager to learn all routines and obligations that each dog owner would have for their pet. I am currently a stay at home momma, so I have more availability as I am not currently working. Weekends are my most beneficial availability, but can also help on a weekday too! I will be attentive to all the obligations that I need to fulfill while in a clients home. It us important to me to keep any trust that is given to me and do the best at my job with any animals.
“Maria and Gregory just took wonderful care of our dog Jasper. They were kind, attentive and made sure he got plenty of exercise together with their own dog. They sent daily photos, giving us the ability to know he was in safe hands and so we could relax and enjoy our trip. We had total peace of mind knowing Jasper was in a great home, and we will definitely book them again!”

“Fantastic experience! It was so nice to know that Olive was happy and well cared for while I was away! Emily sent some of the cutest photos of her playing and out on fun adventures. I felt so comfortable with Emily and her home is set up for dogs to be secure and to have space to run and play. I will definitely have my dog cared for by Emily again!”

“Natalie has been watching my kitties when I’m out of town for a few months now and she really cares about my babies. She sends pictures, follows up with care recommendations (my boy had a cut on his nose and she helped take care of it) and she genuinely cares about my cats which makes going on vacation and work trips so less stressful. I know they will be in excellent hands and taken care of. Thank you Natalie!”

“Marianne did a drop-in visit for my cat on quick notice, and was very helpful! We won't hesitate to consider her for peace of mind in the future when we travel.”

About: I’m the mom to a cat named Zeppelin, a dog named Stevie and a horse named Cece. I successfully trained both Stevie and Zeppelin (yes you can train a cat!) myself and have dabbled in equine training as well. Being the guardian of a nervous, reactive pup, I pride myself on understanding animal behavior and dog body language. After bringing Stevie home, I was quickly thrown into the world of dog training and behavior modification out of necessity and I have a special place in my heart for nervous pups. I've even started training other people's dogs on the side! After training my own dog, I fell in love with the process and couldn't put it down! I’ve also worked in a veterinary office and feel confident in my abilities to keep your animals safe and know how to handle emergencies. I’m a lab assistant for an environmental toxicology lab and train dogs on the side. I am available for drop ins and walks in the late afternoon and evening most days as well as any time on Sunday’s. At this time I am not available for boarding or overnight stays. I’ll treat your pets like I treat my own, all of mine are rescues that took time, patience and trust to get to where we are now. I understand that having a new person around might be scary for your pet at first but I look forward to building a relationship with them so we all feel safe and comfortable. Having a nervous, reactive dog and a nervous cat has taught me how to better understand dog and cat body language and to go at their own pace.

About: My cat care experience has been based on the cat’s needs. Some need more attention than others. I have mostly taken care of senior kitties who need food, some loves and their litter box changed.

“Nina is wonderful - the peace of mind we have leaving Cosmo with her is priceless. Cosmo is comfortable in her home, Nina is very attentive, and her yard is terrific. Highly recommended!”

“First time using Rover and happy with how everything turned out. Was in town with the fam and planned on visiting the aquarium. Reached out to Jesse 2 days prior to our visit and he responded right away. He walked and fed Audie and sent pictures and texted updates. We were running late for pickup and Jesse was kind enough to give us extra time so we didn’t have to rush back. Thanks Jesse!”

“Kalikonani is a lovely young lady who kindly cares for her dog and another small, older dog. She asked several questions before accepting the booking to be sure it would be a comfortable and safe environment for those (charming) dogs and mine. She gave me a detailed account of the entire time my dog was there with several photos. I would definitely book her again if I lived in the area or if I visit again.”

“Such an amazing and loving dog sitter, Kristin was able to make my occasionally anxious dog feel at home and my dog was happy to make new friends with her dogs and got comfortable almost immediately”

“Denise was great with our puppy Bruce. She checked in several times to give updates and send pictures. We felt very comfortable leaving our new puppy in her care. Thank you so much, Denise. We really appreciate your quick response to our last minute request to care for our pup!”

“Kelly and her boys took great care of our little girl while we were in town for a ballgame. They have a lovely neighborhood for walks and she sent lots of updates and pictures. I can’t recommend her more highly!”

“Dilan was very kind and attentive to our blind rescue poodle Sugar and Melody was a perfect canine host. In turn Sugar was extremely happy and calm even though she always had severe separation anxiety due to her condition. Dilan is very communicative and understanding so you can trust your pet will be well taken care of.”

“Johemy was great! My little Brigid was so well cared for. I love leaving her with someone who is loving and caring. I appreciate how nurturing she was to her. I would definitely recommend!”

“Elizabeth is awesome! She was kind, clearly took the time to get to know my little guy, and when we requested flexibility for pick up and drop off (as we were coming in from out of town and weren't sure how long we'd be in a no-dog area) she agreed that it was fine and was ready for us when we arrived. We appreciated her thoughtfulness and professionalism and will definitely book her for future trips to the area!”

“While visiting Carmel, we needed someone to care for our miniature Australian Shepherd for a day. With no experience leaving Blu with anyone locally, we chose David through Rover. We met David for an introductory visit and he gave us a tour of his excellent facilities, introduced Blu to his own dog and cat, and immediately put us all at ease. When our plans changed at the last minute, he was flexible and accommodating. At drop-off, Blu quickly settled into his surroundings, and the photos David shared showed he was comfortable and had made himself right at home. When we picked him up, he was happy—and pleasantly tired. We highly recommend David.”

“We are really grateful that Christina was able to accommodate our last minute request for Alfie, she sent many photos throughout the day which made for a great experience. Alfie had a great time and met new pup friends - would recommend.”

About: I grew up around horses and learned to respect all living creatures large and small. We always had pets at home and they gravitated towards me because I like to play and have fun with them. I had a cat for 16 years in my youth and loved her so much. Kitties will always have a special place in my heart. I have had many pets over the years and my most recent were two rescue shepherd/husky mix wonderful family members. They were brother and sister and both passed away. I do not currently have any pets of my own right now. Pet sitting is the joy of my life, and I cannot imagine a day without walking, playing and cuddling with furry friends. I am home all day and available to spend quality time with your fur babies! I am extremely flexible and am here for all of your pet’s needs. I like as much information about the pet as you'd like to give me. Whatever your pet needs, I will provide for them. I have lots of experience with anxious dogs and senior dogs and cats. I welcome any information you can provide to help your pet feel comfortable.
“Carol communicated well, and sent us pictures and a video of our little puppy throughout the day. When we went to pick Tucker up, he seemed content and relaxed. He was happy to see us but not anxious. It's relieving to find a caretaker who wants to spend quality time with our best friend And care for him in such a way as to make him feel at home. Thanks for taking care of our buddy, Carol!!”

About: What sets me apart is my lifelong passion for animals and extensive hands-on experience caring for them. I’ve been a dog owner since I was 15, and I currently have two French Bulldogs, which has given me a deep understanding of breed-specific needs, puppy energy, and senior pet care. Over the years, I’ve learned how to read dogs’ body language, understand their moods, and respond calmly and effectively to keep them safe and happy. Professionally, I’ve worked in both an animal hospital and a doggy daycare, where I gained experience with feeding routines, administering basic care, monitoring health and behavior, and handling pets of all sizes and temperaments. I’m also skilled in creating structured routines, providing gentle exercise, and giving extra love and attention to pets who need it, like seniors or shy dogs. I pride myself on being reliable, patient, and attentive. I make sure to communicate clearly with pet owners, providing regular updates and photos so they can feel confident and at ease while they’re away. For me, every pet deserves individualized care, respect, and affection, and I treat each one as if they were my own. My combination of personal experience, professional training, and genuine love for animals ensures that every pet in my care feels safe, happy, and truly cared for. Caring for pets is part of my daily routine. I make sure they get fed, exercised, and plenty of love every day, and I stay on top of any special needs or routines. I enjoy spending time with them and making sure they feel happy, safe, and well cared for. I care for pets by keeping them safe, comfortable, and happy. I follow their routines, supervise playtime and walks, provide lots of love and attention, and make sure the environment is clean and secure. I also watch for any signs of stress or health issues so pets always feel well cared for.
“Athena watched our large breed dog for two nights in a row and we were extremely happy with how she took care of him and handled the entire process! She responds extremely quickly to all messages and was very friendly and happy to have Bruiser in her house, which was beautiful and very clean. We could tell she had prepared to watch Bruiser and listened to all of our notes and instructions for him. Bruiser can sometimes be antsy when in a new place or with strangers, but he seemed more at home with Athena than at our hotel! We are more than happy with Bruiser’s stay with Athena and will absolutely use her again next time we bring Bruiser to Carmel!”

“Emily was fantastic. She was quick to respond before our doggy daycare stay, and was super responsive during the stay. She sent lots of photos and updates, which was so reassuring. She had a great yard and a couple other pup playmates. We’ll be leaving Coco with Emily again for sure!”

About: I've had dogs nearly my entire life, enjoying them from puppyhood to senior age. As my kids grew up, I have also taken care of hamsters, bunnies, lizards, turtles, and parakeets. But most of all, I love dogs. My dog Rainie is an English lab, half chocolate/half yellow who loves playing with other dogs, especially other labs. I'm very familiar with the needs and limitations of senior dogs and can adapt our routines accordingly. I only host one dog at a time to ensure everyone gets enough peace and pettings. We can host caged pets at the same time (small reptiles and parakeets). I'm retired and can host your pet anytime with advance notice. My calendar will accurately indicate my availability. My regular routine includes walking and gardening with our guest dogs. I have a large fenced yard and a single level home 8 steps above ground. Your dog will spend most of their time wherever I happen to be and will be given regular potty breaks. Your dog will enjoy romping in the yard for extended periods under supervision, but will not be left unattended in the yard. Please provide detailed feeding and medication instructions and I will follow them to the letter. Tell me about your dog's special likes, dislikes, fears, and behavioral quirks so we can make dog feel at home. Your dog must be able to manage the steps to get in and out of the house, be willing to use the doggie ramp, or be small enough for me to carry up and down. Must be housebroken. Please provide crate if crate trained and more comfortable in the crate. Or, provide favorite bed or blanket. Otherwise, we have a collection of blankets. Please bring your dog's favorite toy. Some large dogs accepted, depending on size, breed, and degree of training. A meet and greet is a must for most dogs. Pit bulls, Rottweilers, and Dobermans will not be accepted under any circumstances. I realize that many individual dogs are very sweet, but as a rule, these breeds unnerve me, and the dog will sense that.

I am experienced in keeping both my cats very well taken care of and often help my mom take care of her little dog. I am happy to accommodate any requests that you may have for your pets.
About: I’ve cared for friends and neighbors’ pets throughout the years. I also have experience working with the SPCA as a volunteer. I am a responsible sitter who can walk, bathe, feed, play with, and tend to your pet! *the one thing I can not do is administer medication via injection!* Please reach out to me and we can find a schedule that works! Please refer to my posting for a general idea- walks and drop in visits are best for me because I am a college student :)) I am respectful of your space and attentive to your pets’ needs. Depending on your pet’s personality, I can adapt to their behavior and needs to give them the best experience possible!

About: I grew up next to a dog park and spent most of my free time around dogs, learning their personalities, body language, and energy naturally from a young age. I began pet sitting during my teen and college years, and over time developed a strong ability to help animals feel safe, comfortable, and understood. While attending school in Boston, I also worked at a pet supply shop, where I regularly interacted with dogs and their owners and further developed my understanding of pet care, behavior, routines, and different personality types. Professionally, I work as a Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) and caregiver, which has strengthened my skills in patience, consistency, structure, emotional awareness, and reading behavior cues. I’m especially good with sensitive, shy, anxious, high-energy, or routine-oriented pets because I naturally bring a grounded and calming presence. I understand the importance of reliability, communication, and maintaining routines that help pets feel secure while their owners are away. Whether that means energetic walks and playtime, quiet companionship, or extra attentiveness to specific needs, I adapt to each pet individually. I also have experience caring for pets in clients’ homes and understand the importance of respecting both the animal’s environment and the family’s space. Pet care fits very naturally into my routine, and I genuinely enjoy creating consistent, attentive care for animals throughout the week. Currently, I’m available for morning care and walks until noon, as well as evening care after 7 PM on weekdays. I also have open availability on Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays for pet sitting, extended care, and overnight stays. I enjoy incorporating walks, outdoor time, play, feeding routines, and calm companionship into my schedule, and I’m committed to providing reliable and consistent care that helps pets feel comfortable and secure. I prioritize creating a calm, safe, and comfortable environment where pets can feel secure and cared for while their owners are away. When caring for pets in a client’s home, I do my best to maintain their normal routines, including feeding schedules, walks, playtime, rest, medications (if needed), and overall structure. I understand that consistency helps pets feel more relaxed and emotionally settled, especially when their family is away. I pay close attention to body language, behavior changes, energy levels, and each pet’s individual personality and needs. My background as a caregiver and Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) has strengthened my attentiveness, patience, and ability to remain calm and observant in different situations. I’m respectful of clients’ homes, reliable with communication, and committed to keeping both pets and owners comfortable throughout the experience. Safety is always my top priority during walks, outdoor time, feeding, and supervision. I aim to create an experience where pets feel genuinely cared for — not just watched.

About: My boyfriend (& roommate) and I both have a lifelong love for animals and am really missing having pets around! I’ve grown up with all sorts of dog breeds ranging from Pit Bulls to Havanese and feel comfortable around them all. I’ve also opened my home to foster dogs, embracing the joys and challenges that come with caring for both older dogs and newborn puppies. My commitment to the well-being of these animals extends beyond routine care to creating a warm and loving environment that caters to their individual needs. I have a fully remote job so I am at my house most of the day with lots of spare time for walks and cuddles. My boyfriend Will is also obsessed with both dogs and cats and gives them even more attention when he is home before and after work. While we are in the upper unit of a duplex, we have a fully fenced yard and live in a great very walkable neighborhood. I have space in my house for a crate and any other supplies needed to make your pet feel comfortable. I live with my boyfriend who is also a huge animal lover so rest assured your pet will get plenty of love and attention! Please note we do have stairs to get up to our unit with a large deck that gets lots of sun!
About: Hello, my name is Sonia! I have worked with various organizations throughout Monterey County, where I received training in animal behavior and boarding. Over the past five years, I’ve gained valuable experience creating daily routines that help animals feel comfortable and cared for. I am currently a volunteer at the SPCA clinic as a vet assistant, and help at the cat and dog adoption center. I have also worked at a local veterinary clinic and am now a full-time Rover sitter! I am CPR certified and comfortable administering both oral medications and injections. During my time on Rover, I’ve had the pleasure of meeting so many wonderful pets and building great relationships with both them and their owners. I love sending daily photos and updates so pet parents can feel at ease while they’re away. Please feel free to reach out with any questions or concerns—I’m always happy to help. Thank you! :) P.S. My pup Tommy does not accompany me to visits or house sittings, so no worries if your pet prefers to be the only animal in the home. :) Hello, welcome to my page! A little about me: I have a degree in Molecular Biology from California State University, Monterey Bay (CSUMB) and am currently pursuing a degree in Diagnostic Medical Sonography. My school schedule is Monday, Wednesday, and Friday from 6:00 AM to 1:00 PM. Outside of those hours, I have flexible availability, including Tuesdays, Thursdays, weekends, and most afternoons and evenings. I’m available for house sitting, drop-in visits, and dog walks. I love getting to know each pet’s unique personality and routine, so I always like to schedule a meet-and-greet beforehand. It gives us a chance to make sure everyone feels comfortable and helps me provide the best care possible for your furry family member. I look forward to meeting you and your pets! I have 9 years of previous experience with boarding animals and work well with sticking to the specifics of every pet's needs. I have experience with all different breeds, including those requiring extra medical attention. I am trained in administering injections as well. I can also care for reptiles, birds, and any other pet in the household.

“Citladi took exceptional care of Claire, making her right at home! She touched base and sent me a few photos but did not feel the need to be in constant contact with me which I appreciated. I felt great that Claire was having a fun, safe and comfortable stay!”

“Brenden is amazing and took such great care of Mulligan! We were able to fully enjoy a wedding celebration knowing our dog was in great hands. Brenden took the dogs hiking and lots of play was had which was perfect to tire Mulligan out ahead of our 6 hour drive home. Highly recommend!!!”

“Nicole is such a kind and caring person, she made my dog feel at home and took very good care of her. She was gentle and attentive to my senior dog. Thank you so much for creating such a welcoming environment for dogs while they’re away from home ❤️”

“Sarah was attentive and sweet. I happen to have a pup who does really well off leash and loves running; they catered to that aspect allowing my dog to run often as well as explore to different locations they went to throughout the stay. I received pictures and videos and, to be completely honest, am trying to plan another vacation soon because pup enjoyed their time so much with Sarah. Thank you. I'm grateful to know there is now a person who I will be a 'regular' with.”

“Bridget did a great job with Buddy. Buddy loved hanging with his new friends, even her 2 kitty's. I received daily updates with pictures. We would engage Bridget's services again.”

“Helen took great care of my almost 10 week kitten! I was a little nervous since he was so young but I could tell she (and her family) loved him like their own for the week she watched him. She sent me photos and videos every day, which was awesome too.”
