“Greg watched our two very needy yorkies in our home while we were away for a long weekend. He take wonderful care of them and have them lots of attention. He kept us in the loop with frequent updates and pictures which allowed us to really enjoy our trip knowing they were in such good hands :)”

“I had such a great experience with Darían and truly can’t recommend her enough! I was in a stressful last-minute situation, and she immediately stepped in to help. She took amazing care of my cat, Canela, and kept me updated with the sweetest photos and thoughtful check-ins throughout. It’s clear she genuinely cares about animals and takes the time to make them feel safe and comfortable. Canela can be a wild kitten and likes to test boundaries, but Darían handled her with so much patience and care - she really found a way to bond with her. This experience honestly restored my faith in pet care services. I would absolutely book Darían again and highly reco her to anyone looking for someone thoughtful, reliable, and genuinely kind with their pets.”

“Took great care of our Nebby and our home during her 10 day stay while we were out of the country! We could tell Nebby was very well cared for. We would definitely have Em watch her again!”

About: I have experience caring for my 10 year old german shepherd lab, who has a sensitive tummy. I've had him since he was 2 months old, so I am familiar with every stage of doghood! He's also a barker, so I know how to respond to lots of energy. I am currently pursuing pet-care as a full time gig, so I am generally available! I can take on animals that need more consistent care. Though I cannot bring pets home (my kitty isn't fond of new animal faces), I am prepared to take care of your baby however they need me! I am great at following feeding schedules and specific instructions of needed.
“Nic was an incredibly thoughtful and communicative petsitter. My dog, Rocky has a lot of quirks and needs that Nic took in stride and I could feel the love he had towards him. He was proactive about ensuring Rocky’s medication, feeding, and walking schedule were adhered to and made sure to send lots of pictures each day. I absolutely would recommend Nic for anyone’s house/pet sitting needs.”

“I cannot say enough wonderful things about Avary. From the second we connected until we parted ways, Avary stood out as exemplary. Communication was beyond what could be expected, and the thoughtfulness, care, consideration, respect… are just a few words that now come to mind thinking about this experience. I’ve never met anyone — especially through Rover — who had seemingly gone above and beyond to match an existing routine. The true tell was that my dog was willing to take Avary on our USUAL hour-long night walk; something he highly protects. It was so clear that he was completely comfortable after less than a day and was happy to be able to stick to his pretty standard routine because of how well Avary learned and stuck to it too. Would 100% ask back again (and will)!!!”

“Lisseth was the best! On short notice she made time to speak with us right before sitting for Thor. She was punctual and asked all the right questions to make sure Thor had a good day. Thor is typically a docile pup but on this day he was having more accidents than usual and full of energy but she was able to calm me down and help in every way possible. She kept us updated with photos and videos and Thor loved her. I would definitely recommend her as she is professional and you can see her love for animals.”

“Jaidi continues to be great! She has watched our pup a few times and is always communicative and reliable. She came early and stayed late to make sure our dog was comfortable as we left. I would highly recommend her!”

About: Hi all! I am crazy about all dogs and am the proud pawrent to two adopted furbabies. One male, pocket pitmix, 6 and one female, chihuahua mix, 4. Both are fixed and friendly. To prevent an intervention of being the owner of way too many dogs to be socially acceptable, I’m opting to be a Rover walker and sitter instead. I am looking to make your dog extra comfortable by having dates where we can walk, play, have treat times, and take selfies. :) Happy to oblige with requests medical/dietary needs, dog park visits, sing alongs, etc. Very flexible with traveling and breeds to house-sit. Dogs are welcome on the furniture and in the bed. Have had dogs of various sizes and breeds (poodle, chihuahua, German Shepherd, cocker spaniel, currently pocket Pit mix) in the past, and am comfortable with any best friend of yours!
About: *I only take one pet at a time for boarding and day care (two if they are in the same family). For additional pets, please inquire. My rates are firm and reflect the level of care I will provide* I know the feeling of never wanting to leave your fur baby behind. Wherever I went, if I couldn’t take my pets with me, then I would rather not go at all. But sometimes when work calls or when you simply need a little “me” time, we need help from someone we can trust to love and care for our pets while we’re away. I would love to be that person for you! My pet care experience comes from working at and caring for shelter animals, caring for stray cats, fostering cats and dogs, and loving my own beloved pets (My two dogs that have since passed - Terri, 18, Maple, 12, and cat - August, 4). I’m fear-free certified and have extensive experience caring for senior dogs and pets with special needs (especially cushings, CHF, CCD). I can help with giving oral medications and am open to assisting with other needs if you’re willing to teach. If your pet knows any commands or is in training, I’m happy to help reinforce their skills too (just let me know!). In addition to my experience above, I was also featured on NY1’s New Yorker of the week segment for my volunteer work at Animal Haven, an animal shelter based in Manhattan. My home is super senior-dog friendly with rugs all around the house so your pups don’t slip, pet oxygen for emergencies, plus strollers for pets with special needs. I work remote and have a lot of flexibility in my schedule. I offer pet day care, house sitting, and boarding. Please see my calendar for availability. HOUSE SITTING - overnight stays in your home DROP INS - 30 minutes and I’ll do whatever is needed in that time. This could be a combination of feeding, meds, walking, indoor playtime, etc. WALKS - 30 minutes, strictly outdoors walking, ideal for high-energy, active dogs. BOARDING - Your dog stays overnight at my place. You do a minimum of 2-4 walks a day, depending on your dogs needs. Owners must provide food for their pets, but I can also accommodate for an added fee of $5 per day (includes treats/meals). Please ask about food options and provide allergy info + food preferences if interested in that service. DAY CARE - Drop off for day care is between 7-9am and pick up is between 4-6pm. I will love and care for your pet the way you do for them. I treat every animal I care for like family, providing patience, space, and extra attention as needed. I’m super safety conscious and keen on details, so if there are any particular habits, routines, or schedules you’d like me to follow, if your pet is trained or undergoing training and there’s anything you want me to reinforce, or if your pet has special needs and requires special care, please reach out to me with those details. I am always willing and more than happy to work with you to make sure they are cared for and to give you peace of mind. Rest assured, you’ll be getting plenty of updates and photos from me!
“Kristen took great care of our 18 month old labradoodle for 10 days. On our initial meeting, my wife and I loved his easy-going but responsible attitude and our girl took to him right away without any hesitation. A big bonus was Kristen's proximity to Prospect Park. We received lots of photos during her stay and Kristen was super fast replying to any questions we had. Kristen is definitely going to be our go-to sitter on our nights out and when we're out of town.”

“Erin did a great job taking care of our 8 year old dog, Millie, and our two kitties while we were away for a week's vacation. She sent us many photos which we loved and which kept us up to date. She read through all of our instructions carefully and followed them and she clearly took the time to bond with our pets. She also hung in there with us while we tried to sort out an initial issue with our home. Thank you, Erin!”

About: I’ve taken care of pets since I was about 8 years old. I grew up with a doberman and a cat both of which i loved dearly. I continued to have cats and dogs until I moved out on my own at 25, I now only have cats because of my building but would love to get back to walking and taking care of dogs! I’m a manager at a non-profit animal rescue group and take care of approximately 50 animals a week. This includes feeding, cleaning, playing and monitoring their health! I treat every animal I come into contact with as I would my own. There is always love and the utmost care. I’m on a sabbatical from my full time job now in sustainability so I have lots of time to do some pet care work! I still work at the animal rescue group but that is only part time. I offer services mostly at the client’s home and not my own because of my cats. While super friendly and cuddly I have no idea how they’d react to a large dog! But at the client’s home I’m extremely vigilant about pet safety and know what to do in an emergency. I’m very familiar with walking dogs of all sizes (even great danes) from my time as a doggy daycare employee.
“book ren if you can! she was super super amazing with my socially problematic dog who has a biting history. ren did a great job reading his body language and knowing when to give him attention and when to give him space. she followed all the instructions i left and i came home to a tired and happy dog.”

About: For more than 30 years I have been engaged in the maintenance, care and training of my pets. I love animals, taking care of pets gives me pleasure. I have had many different animals, I have experience in caring for turtles, fish, hamsters and cats. I currently work part-time at a dog daycare, where I care for dogs of different breeds, sizes, and personalities every day. This experience has helped me become confident handling both energetic and shy dogs in a safe and attentive way. I’m available for dog walks and drop-in visits on Mondays, Fridays, and weekends by appointment. I always try to be flexible and provide reliable communication and photo updates for pet parents. Dogs have been an important part of my life since childhood, and I have over 30 years of experience caring for pets. I have experience with large breeds such as Huskies and Giant Schnauzers, as well as senior dogs and pets who need medication or extra attention. My priority is making every dog feel safe, calm, and comfortable. I pay close attention to each pet’s personality, routine, and energy level, and I always follow the owner’s instructions carefully. I believe patience, consistency, and trust are the foundation of good pet care.
About: In total, I have approximately 20 years of experience in animal care. From birth, I grew up alongside dogs—a Great Dane, a Pekingese, and a Miniature Pinscher. This early exposure fostered a deep love for animals and a lifelong commitment to their care and well-being. Throughout my life, I've also cared for fish, parrots, turtles, and cats, all of whom have been dear to me. Many of my friends are also animal enthusiasts. For example, I often go on walks with a friend and her shepherd, and we take care of her puppies together. We have trained them in various commands, devised fun park games, and enjoyed our time together. Friends frequently leave their cats in my care when they are away, trusting me as their most responsible caretaker. I have my own cat with special dietary needs, which has made me knowledgeable about feeding and treatment, including how to administer medications painlessly. I adopted her from a shelter six years ago and have since brought her with me to another country. Her luxurious long fur and flat face, typical of Persian cats, require regular grooming, which has become part of my daily routine. Currently working part-time, I have the flexibility to dedicate my free time to what I truly love and am accustomed to—caring for your beloved pets. I am also now caring for my neighbor’s pug, as she is often away due to work. I provide the love and attention that the pug misses in her owner's absence—walking her, feeding her, and ensuring she receives the care she needs. The pug and my cat get along wonderfully, but the dog still requires the dedicated attention of a human. Anytime you can ask me for help with your pet care needs because I have a deep love for animals and extensive knowledge of their care. My responsibility, punctuality, and attentive nature ensure that your pets receive the best care and attention they deserve. I have ample time to care for pets, as I work part-time and want to do something meaningful for furry friends, also I just love to care about them. I care for my neighbor’s pug daily, as she is often absent. We play together, and I’m well-versed in her dietary needs and provide walks and attentive care. I even successfully introduced her to my own cat.
“She was a wonderful dog and cat sitter. She took a great care of my dog and my cats, making sure they were happy, safe and cared for. I felt completely at ease knowing they were in a good hands. She was reliable attentive, and clearly loves animals. I would happily recommend her and would definitely book her again.”

About: I bring nine years of dedicated pet-care experience, primarily with my Siberian Husky, a breed known for its intelligence, energy, and unique behavioral needs. My background also includes occasional care for cats, giving me a well-rounded understanding of feline routines and temperaments. Whether it’s exercise, enrichment, or calm companionship, I’m committed to providing reliable, attentive, and compassionate care for every pet. I have flexible hours during the warmer months and love getting outside with my energetic Siberian Husky for regular walks and grooming. I can accept one-time bookings easily, though reoccurring schedules for walking should be discussed in advance since my availability may be limited. During November through April, walking services are more weather-dependent and may not always be open. Your dog is welcomed into a calm, dog-friendly home where they will have attention, companionship, and structure. Crate-comfort for short periods is important, especially for pups who may get anxious when left alone for quick errands. Day sitting is available for a minimum of 7 hours within a 14-16 hour day (pet needs to do well 8 hours overnight), with a maximum 3-hour break for other tasks; usually in the morning (this also applies to boarding). Overnight stays are generally limited to once every 3 booked days. I remain mindful of each pet’s boundaries and training. Please provide a clear list of your expectations for each home visit. • Furniture rules will match what they’re used to at home • Resource guarding or aggression cannot be accommodated for everyone’s safety My philosophy is simple: a dog should feel respected, understood, and appreciated every step of the way. ❤️
Coney Island pet parents share their Rover experiences
Olga is a wonderful cat sitter. Both of our cats absolutely loved her, which says a lot because they can be very selective with people. She was caring, reliable, attentive, and made us feel completely at ease while we were away. We came home to two very happy and relaxed cats. Would highly recommend her to anyone looking for a trustworthy and genuinely caring pet sitter.

Kadeisha took amazing care of our dog & home! She was super communicative throughout her stay, sent photos & videos daily, and left our house better than she found it. She stopped by a week before our booking on her own time to meet our pup and get to know her. I would absolutely recommend booking with Kadeisha. She is the best !!!

Christina was a great house/dog sitter! She put in te time to keep Charlie Chi happy and engaged and well-walked, communicated with me to ask about details, sent me photos of the places she visited with Charlie, and was respectful of my home. I wouldn’t hesitate to engage her again.

Mona was incredible with my two dogs and I give her the highest rating! She watched my dogs in difficult circumstances as the blizzard hit and my power went out. Other dog sitters would have probably needed me to return early from my trip. But Mona handled the whole situation very professionally. During her stay, she sent me beautiful photos of my dogs and kept me informed everyday with a status. Mona is extremely trustworthy and was highly respectful of my home. I have already booked her for the next time I am away. Mona is absolutely wonderful!!!!
We were moving from New York City to New Mexico, and our longtime dog sitter had also moved away. So we needed someone to sit Kirby, our rascally Golden Retriever, during our Going Away Party. Laura did an amazing job. Kirby loved her, and having Laura around all afternoon was a tremendous help. She's nice, smart, dependable. If you need someone to watch your pet, look no further: Laura is exactly who you need to contact.

Kati was amazing with our dog. Cersei was sad when Kati left because they got so attached. Kati also sent lots of updates/pictures throughout and was a great communicator. I will be lucky if Kati is available for our next need and I hope to be able to be a repeat customer of hers. Thank you, Kati!!

Nia was an absolute godsend! After reaching out to nine different cat sitters for Thanksgiving week with no luck — or no real sense of security — finding her truly felt like a miracle. Kylo adored her from the start, which is saying a lot given how hard it is for him every time we travel. He’s such a sociable boy and really struggles with the absence of people, but with Nia he was clearly comfortable, happy, and so well cared for. She sent thoughtful updates every day, paid close attention to his needs, and handled everything with so much care and professionalism. I felt completely at ease knowing he was in such good hands. I would absolutely recommend her to anyone — and would rehire her without hesitation!

Alina was wonderful and at the last minute able to take care of Thor who wasn’t feeling the best. She was able to keep us updated with photo and video and even stayed late because we were running late getting home. We appreciated everything she did and so did Thor .

Mike is amazing! This was my first Rover booking, and he made sure everything went smoothly. He even came over a few weeks before our trip to meet us, our animals, and see the house. He also shared pictures and updates a couple times a day, which was great. We can’t wait to book him for our next trip. 😊
