“Elias is the best! He took amazing care of our 60lb poodle mix while we were out of town for the weekend. He updated us multiple times a day with a ton of pictures and feedback and handled our pups reactivity like a champ. From both the pictures Elias sent, along with his demeanor when we got home, it was clear Knox had a great time with Elias.”

About: I've taken care of both cats and dogs for about a decade. I am experienced in taking care of multiple pets in a home and I am also experienced in working with senior/sick dogs and giving oral medications to both cats and dogs. I work full time as a preschool teacher and am also working towards getting my Master's degree so, unfortunately, my availability on the weekdays is limited to when I get out of work after 3:30pm. Unless there is a break from school (i.e. spring break, winter break) or school is closed for holidays, my availability on the weekdays won't change. On weekends, I am fully available unless otherwise stated on the calendar. Trust and safety between us and your pet are top priority to me! I like to meet in advance so you can show me how you like things done and so we can build a rapport. Meeting before our scheduled booking also lets me meet your pet(s)! It helps when I can build a relationship beforehand so that they are more comfortable and it gives you a chance to see how they respond to me. Though I do give pets time to warm up to me as not all are too keen on having strangers in their home. I know how difficult it can be to leave your pet (and home) with a stranger, but I will do anything needed to make you and your pet feel as comfortable with me as possible!

About: I’m dependable and reliable, attention to detail is my jam and I’m comfortable walking with small and big dogs or taking care of cats, even if it takes a while to warm up to a stranger in their home/space! even the most prickly cats eventually get won over! I’m currently working part time and my schedule is flexible! I love being able to walk and get outside or stay indoors to hang out with cats and dogs! I live with a disabled cat so making sure the apartment is safe and cat-proofed is key, and when pet sitting I make sure all escape routes are secured, feeding times and walk times are kept to schedule, and that there’s always room for play time!

“Oleg was just fantastic! He engaged easily with my puppy and took him out for long walks several times during the day. I appreciated all the exercise my pup got. He went above and beyond in my home tending to my cats which was not part of his responsibilities. He changed the cat litter, cleaned up after them and gave them snacks.”

“Cassie has watched our dog in our home a few times now and does a wonderful job. She is very communicative and seems to really enjoy spending time with our pup, who is always very content when we get home! She is also very respectful of our house and leaves everything super tidy. We really appreciate the excellent care she provides!!”

About: Hi! I’m John — a certified dog lover, NYC DOE-vetted caretaker, and proud former dog dad to the sweetest Shih Tzu, Lola. I grew up with dogs and cared for Lola for over 10 years. I know exactly how much your pup means to you because mine was truly part of my heart. Whether I’m walking, sitting, or dropping in, I’ll treat your dog like family — with patience, love, and dependable care. I’m based in Staten Island and currently work as a substitute teacher, which means I’ve passed background checks and know how to be punctual, respectful, and trustworthy. My schedule is flexible over the summer and during weekends. Let’s chat — I’d love to meet your pup and become their new favorite human! I’m going to have full availability to work over the summer, since I work as a substitute teacher in the New York City Department of Education. I can also accommodate towards last minute bookings if needed! The neighborhood that I live in is very safe and quiet, which would be ideal for walks. Your pet would always get my full attention to their daily needs.

About: From birth, I’ve always cared for pets. I saw my first dog, Max, to the end of his life at the age of 19. Currently owning cats with my family, I have experience with dogs, cats, birds, fish, even snakes. I’ve raised kittens and puppies and though I have little experience training, I’m a fast learner and I love a challege. I work remotely, so I can stay home and enrich your furry family members. I would love to spend time with and take care of your pets. I’m great to sticking to plans and schedules, and I will do everything I can to make sure your furry friend(s) is as comfortable and happy as they can be without their person around.

“Melissa was excellent. She sent photos of my dog having fun every day. The house was in perfect condition when I returned. Melissa is a responsible, warm person. I highly recommend her.”

About: I’ve always enjoyed spending time with animals and I have over 5 years of experience caring for my own cats, and hands-on experience with small to medium- sized dogs. I am comfortable with basic care routine like feeding , walking, and playtime, and I enjoy learning each pet’s unique personality I offer both drop-ins and in-home pet sitting. Since I work remotely full-time, I am flexible with when I can come over to care for your pets I care for pets by creating a calm, safe environment. I understand the importance of routine, gentle handling, and observing subtle behavior changes to ensure pets are happy and healthy.

About: Hi, my name is Vivian and I would love to get a chance to know your pet! I absolutely love animals and dogs have a special place in my heart. I have a lot of experience in dog walking and basic pet care, as I have a dog myself. I also have experience caring for cats and have one myself as well. I can be relied on to walk, feed, and bathe your pets as needed and if your pet is on a schedule I will make sure it is followed. I would love to get to know you and your furried friend better and give your pet the care it deserves. Looking forward to meeting and getting to know both you and your pet! I am a recent college graduate student and am available to work any day of the week, especially for the summer. I would love to spend time with and to care for your furry friends! I typically walk my own dog as a part of my daily routine and I would be glad to make helping you out as another part of my daily routine. In my own home, my dog is pretty well-trained. He knows not “go” in the house, listens to basic commands, and gets along with people and other dogs well. Therefore we do not have restrictions for him in the house. However, if your dog is not allowed to go into certain areas of the house or onto certain furniture or requires to be put in their cage, I have no problem keeping them out of restricted areas and putting them in their cages before leaving if requested.

About: Growing up, I have always looked after dogs of close friends and family, and have studied nutrition and health, which led me to work at a pet hotel for about a year with almost every dog breed. My responsibilities included prepping food, cleaning, 1 on 1 play, and group play. I have been in charge of up to 20 dogs at 1 time. I also co-own a dog named Luna. The other owner and I had Luna since she was a puppy and she is now 5 years old. I teach obedience/behavior training to many dogs and I develop trust with dogs that is unique to my experience with various breeds. It takes patience and consistency to be a great leader for dogs and I wear my heart on my sleeve for every dog I'm caring for; communication with your dog is key. I currently work part time and make Dog care apart of my every day routine, if I'm not with my dog I'm working with other dogs. I have a good size open backyard and toys depending on the play style of your dog; crate training is much appreciated if they are familiar. Walks are frequent, especially for high energy dogs

About: I've taken care of dogs and animals of all kinds since I was 6 years old growing up in the farm. I was born and raised in Montenegro (in Europe). Now I am living in the city and I so very much miss being around animals. Dogs especially are truly amazing and my best friends. I ended up getting my dog Peanut in December of 2021, right after my diagnosis with stage 4 metastasis breast cancer. Peanut has been my life savior and I would do anything to make her happy and have her live the best life. Therefore my reasoning for doing Rover is to find a companion for Peanut to have a good time while I am also enjoying taking care of many other dogs 😊 I am an accountant and luckily I am working from home. My boyfriend is a Software developer and he works from home too. Your pup will be taken care of very well. My dog is a shihtzu/Havannese mix little girl born October 11th, 2021. I walk them every 2 hours and I take them for long walks to the park morning and late afternoon for longer time as needed. We have a lot of dog toys, including challenging games. I enjoy playing and cuddling with them, and they can sleep anywhere, couch or bed. They will always be under my supervision and attentive care. I have training in giving them medication, releasing them from stress, and an obedience course.

Most of my free time is in the evening or on weekends, but I can make overnight dog sitting work! I am comfortable with walking dogs with or with out leashes. I am also an athlete/runner so I can also take dogs on runs if high energy!

“Beth is an amazing dog sitter and wonderful person. She has house sat with my nearly 15-year-old American Staffordshire many times over the past 2 years. I have never left a review for anyone or anything before - but after Beth helped me out on 3 separate sitting details over the past 4 weeks, I just had to take the time to recognize how great she is. She is reliable, kind and really patient. I trust her implicitly. My dog Sydney is a rescue with a lot of anxiety. Lately she is becoming increasingly incontinent and now shreds the pee pads (always fun to come home to). Sometimes my patience is tried by Sydney, but Beth is always even keeled and incredibly good to Syd. I can tell because Sydney is always calm and happy when I get home. Thanks much Beth!”

Michelle E.
“Michelle is a hardworking, responsible and empathetic individual who has the patience and passion pet owners and pets would find reassuring for their care! My cats are cautious and slow to warm to people and usually that is disheartening. Michelle showed impressive positivity when getting to know my cats while giving them space, putting them at ease which is important for their comfort. They are detailed orientated and will take the time to go over concerns or details of care. Highly recommend.”

Vivian L.
“Vivian has watched my dog multiple times, and my dog always returns playful and happy. I have a Maltese mix puppy who is full of energy and can be a handful at times. Since my dog is a puppy I try to have him on a routine schedule and Vivian was very flexible and accommodating to that. She made sure he was walked to go to the bathroom, fed at the proper time, and of course loved!! She is a very reliable, responsible and friendly person who your dog will love. I know my dog is in good hands because now once he sees her or I say “Vivian is coming” he immediately wags his tail and gets excited. Definitely a great choice to watch your pet.”

Nicholas T.
“Nicholas has had a deep concern for and connection with dogs for as long as I can remember. I have seen him interact with dogs in a variety of circumstances for the past 14 years. The earliest memory I have of him interacting with dogs was when he walked, watched, fed, and played with my cousin’s Boxer dogs when we were kids. He was very patient, caring, passionate, and responsible with those dogs as a young boy. Over the years, he cared for his friends' dogs as well by walking and watching them. Over time, as he became an adult, he became even more patient, caring, passionate, and responsible with dogs as he bought a Pug with his girlfriend and became a dogsitter at PetSmart. At PetSmart, Nick would always introduce himself to each dog individually and ensure each dog’s safety was met when in the company of other dogs. Despite the dogs’ different personalities and needs, Nick would show the same love and responsibility to each of them. Not only was Nick yearning to give the best lives for his own dog and dogs under his care at work, but he would always and is still always making an effort to greet and show admiration and concern for dogs, who are on walks with their owners on the streets. If I had to recommend a dog caregiver to anyone, I would feel confident in recommending Nicholas to meet any dog owner's expectations. I trust him to practice exceptional love and responsibility for dogs of any sex or breed who are in his care.”

Domenica F.
“Domenica is a natural with animals. They are her passion and she does any and everything to make sure that they are well cared for and happy. My dog gets so happy whenever she sees her and there’s no one I would trust more than Domenica to care for any of my animals.”

Andy R.
“Andy is an excellent animal lover and cares so much for their well being. He was a vetinary technician for the past 5 years. I witnessed him myself care for his cats and walk my dogs. Both my dogs love him, he has a very calm vibe to him that make animals feel safe with him.”

Hassandra T.
“Hassandra was by far the most sweetest, caring sitter we’ve ever had! My dog showed so much affection for her upon pick up, it warms my heart to know that lil Fluffy had bonded and felt so comfortable. Usually she gets nausea from being home sick. 5 Stars Hassandra!”

Faith A.
“Faith has always loved animals ever since she was a little girl. Animals can sense this and they enjoy being around her. Faith has a very kind and calm personality. She is majoring in nursing at Wagner college because of her desire and interest to help and care for others. In addition, Faith is very mature and responsible.
