“Jenna was amazing and gave me consistent feedback and updated on my puppers. She was able to come in last minute and accommodate me for a trip. I cannot recommend her enough.”

“Oleg was amazing! I have a very difficult cat, and he was very patient and calm with her. He is communicative and sends updates daily along with photos. I felt secure being away from home knowing he was taking care of my fur baby. Will definitely be booking again!”

“This was my first time using Rover, and let me just say Kortni took away all of the worries and anxiety that I had. She is truly one of a kind. She sent pictures and updates throughout the entire trip. You can see the love she has for pets! I would highly recommend her to anyone! She’s the best!”

About: I’ve raised my own dog since he was a puppy, so I know exactly what dogs need at every stage. From early morning walks to keeping them entertained and fed, it’s just part of my daily routine. I didn’t just own a dog I grew up with him. Your dog will get the same attention and care I give mine every single day. Dogs get a morning walk around 10–10:30am, then they’re free to relax in the living room or hang out in the fenced backyard. Once it cools down in the evening I take them out again around 6–7pm. During the day they have access to the backyard for potty breaks whenever they need it. Before bed there’s one last walk around 11–11:30pm so they’re settled for the night. I have a fenced backyard so dogs can roam and play safely without any worry. I own a friendly dog myself so your pup will have a buddy to hang out with. We’re in a house so there’s plenty of space to move around and get comfortable. Dogs are welcome on the furniture I want them to feel at home, not like they’re in a strange place.

About: I love dogs, they are my favorite animal. I am very passionate about taking care of, walking, playing etc with dogs and will do the best I can with your awesome furry companion. All I require to take care of your doggy is a schedule detailing what you would do normally with them on the daily. I can give your dog all the attention and care they need during the day, again I love all kinds of dogs and will do anything to make your furry friend very happy. I have a dog of my own named jax, he is 4 years old and I have been taking care of him since me and my family bought him home from the new jersey dog shelter.
About: I’ve grown up with cats and dogs in my family, and have moved out and have adopted a cat on my own. I am familiar with what makes pets happy and how to take care of them. I’ve dog sat for close friends and family before and am confident I will be a great resource to count on. I’m working part time and do drive so I am comfortable commuting. It gives me more time to focus on dog and cat care! Safety and trust are prioritized when it comes to pets. Understanding what triggers pets can have and making sure that they are happy and well taken care of,

About: New to Rover✨ I had dogs of my own when I was 11 and I absolutely adored them. I was always happy to take care of them. I have also dog sat for my family’s friend active pup from time to time. Now, I have been doing drop in visits to another family friend’s new cat 🐈⬛ and I loved the experience so much that I want to take it on the road!! I am currently free all day. Usually I am home or I go on an adventure walk/ bike ride and would love to bring your pup/ kitty member along :). I am flexible to suit your needs and make it easier for you and your companion. I would love to know your companion’s daily routine as well to ensure a smooth and relaxing day for them. **A meet-up prior to service is offered** I have a pretty open living space in my townhouse. My community has lots of dogs and cats so it is very pet friendly and safe! We even have an open grass area to walk/play (on a leash). I am super excited to house/drop-in/ day sit your furry/feline friend!!
“Tammy is absolutely amazing! From the moment I met her at the meet and greet, I knew I had found a great dog sitter. She is the kindest, most reliable, caring and experienced dog sitter I've ever met. I trust her 1000% with my fur baby. She sends updates with photos and videos. She made the separation for the day worry free. She is the best!”

About: Hello, Thank you for stopping by! My name is Jennifer. I currently have 3 kitties of my own. I do know how nerve-racking it could be leaving your pet with someone. I have left prior sitters visuals, maps, drawings when I have gone away (thank you OCD lol). I am probably a bit much but I need to know that while I'm away, my fur children are in nurturing loving hands not missing me. To say I am protective is an understatement. *I just came back to the site after having a few extensive surgeries so please do not go by the early reviews as I was only on here for a few months until I had to have surgeries - I’m doing great now :)* ***Please before you go on reading…yes, I understand my fees are higher than most. Upon meeting me, you will understand why. I will offer knowledge that may help you with your furbaby. If you are having a hard time with behavioral issues where other sitters won’t know what to do, I most likely will. The plethora of knowledge about dogs/cats/horse/fish/etc that is infinite. I may be able to offer you a couple tips that are possibly life changing. No, I do not have all the answers (if anyone says they do…you should most likely run). However, my knowledge regarding animals is far superior than the average pet sitter. I am 43 years old. I have chosen to take on this work because my heart is very into it. However, now that I am mostly home working on a project it makes it easier for me to sit for your pet. Unfortunately, boarding a doggo overnight within my home who has a lot of behavioral issues would not be a good fit for my cats nor is it fair to do this to them. If it is a mini breed or a larger vet well trained dog, we can discuss (please reach out as it can’t hurt to ask). I wouldn’t mind staying at your home on a case by case basis. If you needed me to give your pets a lot of love, adoration, full blown attention-enforce your commands that you’d like for me to withhold, have a couple of cognitive/ physical training sessions to help you with some behavioral issues/keep your pup sharp or even if it’s administering medications, etc…all your pets needs will be meet efficiently. If this is what you seek, I may be your gal. I welcome cameras in the home so that you are able to see how well your beloved companion is doing with me. I wish more people had cameras so that everyone gets to see how their pet is truly doing while you’re away! My experience with animals comes from years over time of being involved with rescue, surrounded by trainers, healers, tons and tons of self knowledge, audio books, old fashioned books, etc. I was born to hear animals and I consider it a huge gift. It is in my nature that when I am with your pet that my FULL attention is with your pet and your pet only. I myself have hired pet sitters who would sit on their phone in front of me while pet sitting and it was pretty irritating. I know the type of person I would want (and not want) watching my animals because I have been there before with kittens/cat/puppies/dogs. Another pet peeve of mine would be walking into a dog park and the owners aren't paying close attention to their dogs. Unfortunately, we live in an age where cell phones have become top priority and then the pup is put into a bad situation because of the lack of attention. I have seen it time after time and it has left me with a bad taste. This will never happen with me. If I don’t like the vibes - I don’t enter in. There is a proper way to introduce dogs and it’s not nose to nose but rather behind to behind. Dogs are not humans (well some are lol) they are dogs. They read the room very differently than how we would. I promise you wholeheartedly that this is something you will never have to worry about. You pet has my UNDIVIDED love and attention at all times on my watch. It is pertinent for your pet that I uphold and take full responsibility as your pet sitter to give them full attention the entire time they are with me. All of my pups learned their basic commands very early on. It means everything to me when a dog is speaking the same language as its owner. I wish to take your lead and follow everything precisely. When putting a dog on a "heel" command during a walk, my attention has to be two places: 1- On the pup and 2- Observant of the environment. I have fostered 2 dogs and have trained 3 dogs. I have broken the prey drive of 2 beautiful pit bulls and one Tree Walking Coonhound/Terrier dog with my cats. I have also broken anxiety of one of the dogs I was fostering. Truly it was a lot of work, time, patience, repetition and more patience but I got to learn so much about speaking dog. They teach you so many things. I had a very hard time finding someone to board my pup when I had him because I knew a bit more than they did which left me on edge. I sifted through a lot of sitters and it wasn't until I had someone teaching me something that I felt 100% confident in leaving my fur baby with them. I have worked along side with trainers and have read heaps fulls of dog language books/manuals/dvd's etc. I have been called the dog whisperer, cat whisperer/animal whisperer. I have also attended workshops for animal communication to further my education with animals. I look forward to building a career from this. I have obtained one Bachelors degree and a second Associates degree as well as obtaining my NYS license for massage therapy (for humans lol). I am very passionate about animals and have been called a healer. I am Reiki 2 Certified and do Reiki for animals. My entire heart is into this because animals don't have a voice. When I tell someone I can speak cat or dog they may look at me like I am from the funny farm but it’s true. There is a way of listening to an animal by its body language, sounds, breathing, even yawning etc. I have been clipping nails since high school of anxious pet owners pets nails, wiped out floppy ears, burrito wrapped cats for clippings, I’m able to administer medicine without a problem (there are tricks for this), brushing, you name it and I've probably done it. Anyway I can help, I am always willing if it’s for the cause of an animal. Snuggles are my favorite thing along with interactive puzzle type of games that your pups will crave if they would be so kind to join me. No job is too big for me to handle : ) Please let me know if you would like the garbage taken out, plants watered, etc. I am able to light housework if necessary. I will send a TON of pics upon your request because I know how on edge, especially first time sits could be for an owner. NOTE***Please let me know if your dog gets along with cats as this is the only way I can accept them for the safety of my own fur children as well as for the safety of your own pup*** Any information provided for your pet, I will adhere to. I always take 30 min to an hour a day for play/brush when it comes to my own. Please let me know your instructions- dog/cats likes and dislikes, allergies etc. I prefer crated pets because with this, it comes security and a lot less anxiety for your pet when used correctly and for positive reinforcement only. I like to think of it as a floating bedroom for them :) Looking forward to meeting you and your fur-baby/fur-babies soon! *Please note, yes…my fees are more than average because I am at a very advanced level when it comes to caring for you furbaby/furbabies. I would be willing to make and exception if the opportunity (especially be it someone local/within my mileage) presented itself! Thank you for carefully reading my profile. I look forward to a meet and greet with you and your fuzzy friend/s. I am currently working from home so I am pretty flexible where as time is concerned. Occasionally I will run to the store and back but it also depends on the dog so if I had to prepare myself a few days before your dogs arrival, I have no problem with this at all. I am flexible where this is concerned :) Let’s talk…maybe there is something I have missed in my profile but I try to be as descriptive as possible. I appreciate you taking the time to read everything I have written. Quite the novel, I am aware but I feel as a fellow pet owner myself, that you would want to know everything about who your pet is spending quality time with so I try to be as thorough as possible 🙂 Please see everything I have written on top as I believe I have covered all my bases where this is concerned. Thank you again for taking the time reading my full profile! Any questions I’d be happy to answer them, just please shoot me a message :)

“Florina is amazing at her job. She watched my dogs for two days and was so kind to my three dogs. She kept me updated, cleaned up the dishes, and even gave my dog his insulin. I welcome her back into my home anytime.”
“Robert took great care of Jeffrey! He is a reliable, caring, and professional dog sitter. We booked him from out of town for a wedding and he kept in touch to confirm, showed up on time and became immediate friends with Jeffrey. He was great with communication - sending us many pictures and videos. His passion for dogs is evident, I could tell that my dog not only received necessary care but also enjoyed the company and companionship Robert provided.”

About: As a dog owner myself, I love long walks and hang outs with my 4 legged friends. At home I have 2 dogs of my own, Bruno a 3 year old LabPit mix, who is friendly, loving, and very active. He loves to play fetch and run but also cuddle on the sofa when resting at home. Lola is a 10 year old Maltese/Shih tzu mix who loves her naps and shorter walks. Our daily activities include long walks or runs around the neighborhood; twice a day and a short midday walk. Although Lola doesn’t always keep up with her brother, she enjoys accompanying us in our hikes and so she comes along in her backpack! At home we also I also have 2 parakeets who bring us lots of joy. Aside from my personal pets, I have also fostered 11 dogs through an organization here in Staten Island. I took in dogs ranging of ages from 3 puppies of 5 weeks to a 6 year old pup. Some with medical need such as taking prescribed medication, special diets or receiving medicated baths. Here your furry friend will have company from my two 4 legged friends, she/he will play and receive lots of physical activity, but if they are more couch potatoes, that works too! Their needs will be catered. They will be part of our pack until you are ready to return home! During weekdays, pets will receive morning, afternoon and night walks. During days when I am at work, they get their longer walks during the afternoon and nights since I work 8-3 outside of the home. In the afternoon I make sure to give them lots of attention and weather permitting, take them to the yard to play fetch or let them run around a bit. During weekends, they receive longer walks/ park visits earlier in the day. Morning walks turn into park visits or small hikes, then midday walks depending on when we get home and night walks. Although my yard is not fenced, I have long 30 ft leashes long give your dog opportunity to run as they pleased. At my home, they will have friends to play with, feel love and care for. I love communicating with fur parents on how their pets are doing and easing any worry they may have about leaving their pet behind.
“My wife and I just had Jennifer stay with our dog for the very first time …. it was perfect! Wylie and Jennifer got along great! Jennifer made him feel loved and comfortable. Wylie has a strong attachment to my wife, but Jennifer won him over. While the Rover website is great and easy to work with, Jennifer walked us through the process, explained what she could do and made us feel good about leaving Wylie in the hands of a complete stranger (a stranger no more). We were equally impressed with how well Jennifer treated our home. We were gone overnight and Jennifer stayed with Wylie in our home. There is no question that I very highly recommend Jennifer to anyone who is the least bit nervous about having a pet-sitter. We plan on using her every chance we get!”
“Kara was awesome with Zuri, and she was able to help at the last minute. Lifesaver! Our dog likes very few people, and Kara was one of them. She sent updates and took great care of Zuri. 10/10 would book again.”

“Karen provided wonderful care for our two dogs. She provided constant updates as well as pictures during her entire stay which was very much appreciated. You could definitely tell the dogs were well cared for and comfortable around Karen. She also left the house clean and tidy! We had a great trip away knowing our dogs were in great hands with Karen.”

Huguenot pet parents share their Rover experiences
Another carefree vacation in the books thanks to the amazing Melissa. We knew our boy was in great hands and got fun pics and video to keep us up to date on how his day was going. We can’t recommend Melissa enough. Whether it’s a short trip or long vacation, you can’t go wrong with booking Melissa. Thanks for taking such great care of our Kody.

Beth was very communicative and flexible while accommodating our last minute plans to travel for Christmas Eve and Day. I met with Beth prior to our travel and she asked questions, provided references who were happy to provide glowing recommendations, and even returned back to meet my spouse who wasn’t available at our initial meeting. During our travel she took very good care of my dog and parrot, providing updates throughout the two days she was watching them including photos of our pets which set our minds at ease knowing our animals looked happy and well taken care of while we were away. There were absolutely zero issues with Beth. We are so happy to have found a trusted pet sitter to watch our pets.
