About: I’ve grown up with cats and dogs in my family, and have moved out and have adopted a cat on my own. I am familiar with what makes pets happy and how to take care of them. I’ve dog sat for close friends and family before and am confident I will be a great resource to count on. I’m working part time and do drive so I am comfortable commuting. It gives me more time to focus on dog and cat care! Safety and trust are prioritized when it comes to pets. Understanding what triggers pets can have and making sure that they are happy and well taken care of,

About: Having grown up in a household full of animals including dogs, cats, rabbits, and hedgehogs I possess a lifelong "animal intuition" and a deep comfort level with various species. What truly sets me apart is my hands on experience managing a multi-pet home with my own three cats, which has made me an expert in feline behavior and resource management. Whether it is providing the patient, attentive monitoring required for senior pets or the delicate handling needed for small exotic animals, I am highly adaptable to each pet's unique needs and personality. My schedule is very flexible during the latter half of the week. From Monday to Wednesday, I work as a therapist in Brooklyn. On Thursdays and Fridays, I only have two cases in Staten Island totaling about two hours, which leaves me with plenty of availability from Thursday through Sunday. Caring for animals is a deeply healing experience for me. While I am a huge dog lover, my own home is currently a cat-only household because we rescued three cats from a shelter, one of whom is extremely sensitive to dogs. To ensure her comfort, we decided not to own a dog ourselves, so pet sitting gives me a wonderful opportunity to fulfill my passion for working with dogs. My personal experience with a high-needs, sensitive rescue cat has made me exceptionally patient and skilled in handling pets with various temperaments and specific needs. My approach to pet care focuses on proactive health, hygiene, and emotional well-being. In my own home and when sitting for clients, I prioritize hydration by mixing water and specialized supplements like cranberry powder into wet food to support urinary health, and I ensure a clean environment by scooping litter and washing bowls daily. Most importantly, I understand that pets—especially cats—communicate through subtle, "high-frequency, low-impact" social cues; I provide gentle affection and verbal greetings without overstimulating them, ensuring they feel respected and safe. I treat every animal as a sentient companion, balancing structured routines with the quiet, intuitive interaction they need to thrive.

About: As a dog owner myself, I love long walks and hang outs with my 4 legged friends. At home I have 2 dogs of my own, Bruno a 3 year old LabPit mix, who is friendly, loving, and very active. He loves to play fetch and run but also cuddle on the sofa when resting at home. Lola is a 10 year old Maltese/Shih tzu mix who loves her naps and shorter walks. Our daily activities include long walks or runs around the neighborhood; twice a day and a short midday walk. Although Lola doesn’t always keep up with her brother, she enjoys accompanying us in our hikes and so she comes along in her backpack! At home we also I also have 2 parakeets who bring us lots of joy. Aside from my personal pets, I have also fostered 11 dogs through an organization here in Staten Island. I took in dogs ranging of ages from 3 puppies of 5 weeks to a 6 year old pup. Some with medical need such as taking prescribed medication, special diets or receiving medicated baths. Here your furry friend will have company from my two 4 legged friends, she/he will play and receive lots of physical activity, but if they are more couch potatoes, that works too! Their needs will be catered. They will be part of our pack until you are ready to return home! During weekdays, pets will receive morning, afternoon and night walks. During days when I am at work, they get their longer walks during the afternoon and nights since I work 8-3 outside of the home. In the afternoon I make sure to give them lots of attention and weather permitting, take them to the yard to play fetch or let them run around a bit. During weekends, they receive longer walks/ park visits earlier in the day. Morning walks turn into park visits or small hikes, then midday walks depending on when we get home and night walks. Although my yard is not fenced, I have long 30 ft leashes long give your dog opportunity to run as they pleased. At my home, they will have friends to play with, feel love and care for. I love communicating with fur parents on how their pets are doing and easing any worry they may have about leaving their pet behind.

We were so grateful for Tuba’s services. She made herself available to come meet our boy Freddie on short notice, which was so helpful. She was dependable, very communicative throughout our time away and went above to make sure all of Freddie’s needs were met. Also, Freddie gets scared with thunder and fireworks, so she sometimes came back to him having made a mess of his puppy pads and she never complained but did anything she could to make sure his area was cleaned up and he was comfortable again. We felt very secure with her and would not hesitate to use her services again!

About: I’ve been caring for pets for about 7 years through my own animals, and helping out my relatives and friends. Growing up, I was responsible for feeding, walking, and bathing our family dogs. I’m also comfortable with any pet (Dogs, Cats, Small Animals) I’m currently in Veterinary Technician School, which means I’m learning animal behavior, handling, and basic health care, skills I bring into every pet I watch. I’ve also worked in a pet care environment before, so I’m very comfortable with different breeds, sizes, and temperaments! I’m patient, gentle, safety focused, and treat every animal like they’re my own. Whether it’s walks, playtime, or relaxing at home, your pet will get lots of attention and reliable care. I’m in Veterinary Technician School Part Time but have an open availability since the course is online. Whether you’re going away for the holidays or just need someone to care for your pet, i’m extremely flexible with my schedule. I prioritize safety and comfort above everything. In my home, pets get a calm space, supervision, and a routine that helps them feel secure. In a client’s home, I follow their rules step-by-step to keep things consistent and stress free for the pet. I’m careful with doors, gates, walk equipment, and make sure pets are never left in unsafe situations. Owners get honest communication and updates so they always know their pet is okay.

About: What sets me apart from other pet sitters is my combination of experience, specialized skills, and genuine love for animals. I go beyond basic care to ensure that every pet feels safe, happy, and loved in my presence. Here’s how I stand out: 1. Customized Care for Every Pet: I take the time to understand each pet’s unique needs, from their favorite toys to specific feeding routines, creating a comfortable and stress-free experience tailored to their personality. 2. Specialized Skills: • Puppy Training: I have experience teaching basic commands, house training, and socialization, helping puppies develop good habits early on. • Senior Pet Care: I’m skilled in caring for older pets, including administering medications, accommodating mobility challenges, and providing extra comfort and attention. 3. Health and Safety Expertise: I’m well-versed in recognizing signs of illness or distress and am trained in basic pet first aid, so you can trust your pet’s health is in good hands. 4. Enrichment and Engagement: I prioritize mental and physical stimulation through interactive play, puzzle toys, and exercise tailored to your pet’s energy level and preferences. 5. Reliable and Trustworthy Service: I treat your home with the utmost respect and maintain open communication, providing updates and photos so you can rest assured your pet is thriving. 6. Genuine Passion for Animals: My dedication goes beyond just a job—I see pet care as a way to build a bond and make a positive impact on their lives. Caring for pets, whether in my home or a client’s home, requires attentiveness, consistency, and adaptability to meet the individual needs of each animal. Here’s a breakdown of how I approach pet care in both settings: Caring for Pets in My Home: 1. Establishing a Routine: • I create a daily schedule for feeding, exercise, playtime, grooming, and rest, ensuring stability and comfort for my pets. • Meal times are consistent, and fresh water is always available. 2. Creating a Safe and Enriching Environment: • I ensure my home is pet-proofed, with no access to harmful plants, toxic substances, or dangerous objects. • I provide toys, scratching posts, and cozy sleeping areas tailored to their preferences. 3. Health and Hygiene: • I maintain clean litter boxes or outdoor areas for bathroom needs. • Regular grooming, nail trimming, and dental care are part of the routine. • I stay vigilant for signs of illness and keep up with vaccinations, vet checkups, and preventative care. 4. Bonding and Training: • I dedicate time daily for play, affection, and positive reinforcement training to build trust and strengthen our bond. Pet care is an integral part of my daily and weekly routine, as I prioritize the well-being, happiness, and health of the animals I care for. Here’s how it fits into my schedule: in the morning i start off by Feeding: I start the day by preparing fresh meals according to the pet’s specific dietary needs. Hydration: I ensure water bowls or fountains are clean and filled with fresh water. Bathroom Needs: For cats, I scoop litter boxes daily, and for dogs, I schedule morning walks to give them a chance to stretch and relieve themselves. During midday i help them Exercise: I schedule play sessions or walks to keep pets physically active and mentally stimulated. Engagement: This could include interactive toys, training sessions, or just quality time spent bonding with the pet. Cleaning: I tidy up their spaces, such as washing food bowls, refreshing bedding, or cleaning up any messes. In the evening it is Dinner Time: Another feeding session, ensuring pets stick to their routine. Grooming: For long-haired pets or those that shed a lot, I brush their fur. Nail trimming or light cleaning (like wiping paws) happens as needed. And finally Wind-Down: I end the day with calm activities, like cuddling or relaxing together, ensuring they feel secure before bedtime.
