About: I’ve grown up with cats and dogs in my family, and have moved out and have adopted a cat on my own. I am familiar with what makes pets happy and how to take care of them. I’ve dog sat for close friends and family before and am confident I will be a great resource to count on. I’m working part time and do drive so I am comfortable commuting. It gives me more time to focus on dog and cat care! Safety and trust are prioritized when it comes to pets. About: I bring a lifetime of experience caring for dogs, along with the patience and compassion I've developed helping care for my grandmother. Growing up with a dog of my own and being surrounded by dogs through family and friends has taught me that every pet has a unique personality and deserves to feel safe, loved, and understood. Helping care for my grandmother has strengthened my sense of responsibility, attentiveness, and empathy. I've learned the importance of noticing the little things, maintaining routines, and providing comfort and companionship. Whether your dog is a playful puppy, an energetic adult, or a senior who needs extra patience and gentle care, I'll treat them with the same kindness and attention I would give my own family. My goal is to make sure your pet feels happy, comfortable, and cared for while you're away. Pet care fits naturally into my daily routine because I have a flexible schedule and can dedicate plenty of time and attention to your pet. I am available all day on Tuesdays, Thursdays, Fridays, and Sundays, and after 1 PM on Saturdays. While I work in a pediatrics office on Mondays, Wednesdays and Saturdays, I am able to check on pets before work, during my break, and again after work to ensure they receive consistent care, companionship, exercise, and attention throughout the day. I understand the importance of maintaining your pet's routine and will do my best to keep them comfortable, happy, and well cared for while you're away. Whether caring for pets in my home or in a client's home, I prioritize their comfort, safety, and routine. I take the time to learn each pet's needs, including feeding schedules, exercise preferences, medications, and any special instructions. I provide plenty of attention, playtime, affection, and potty breaks while ensuring they feel secure and loved. In a client's home, I respect their space and work to keep their pet's routine as consistent as possible to reduce stress. In my home, pets are welcomed into a clean, safe, and caring environment where they receive supervision, companionship, and plenty of love. I treat every pet as if they were my own and strive to make their time away from their family as enjoyable and comfortable as possible.

“We were so grateful for Tuba’s services. She made herself available to come meet our boy Freddie on short notice, which was so helpful. She was dependable, very communicative throughout our time away and went above to make sure all of Freddie’s needs were met. Also, Freddie gets scared with thunder and fireworks, so she sometimes came back to him having made a mess of his puppy pads and she never complained but did anything she could to make sure his area was cleaned up and he was comfortable again. We felt very secure with her and would not hesitate to use her services again!”

About: As a dog owner myself, I love long walks and hang outs with my 4 legged friends. At home I have 2 dogs of my own, Bruno a 3 year old LabPit mix, who is friendly, loving, and very active. He loves to play fetch and run but also cuddle on the sofa when resting at home. Lola is a 10 year old Maltese/Shih tzu mix who loves her naps and shorter walks. Our daily activities include long walks or runs around the neighborhood; twice a day and a short midday walk. Although Lola doesn’t always keep up with her brother, she enjoys accompanying us in our hikes and so she comes along in her backpack! At home we also I also have 2 parakeets who bring us lots of joy. Aside from my personal pets, I have also fostered 11 dogs through an organization here in Staten Island. I took in dogs ranging of ages from 3 puppies of 5 weeks to a 6 year old pup. Some with medical need such as taking prescribed medication, special diets or receiving medicated baths. Here your furry friend will have company from my two 4 legged friends, she/he will play and receive lots of physical activity, but if they are more couch potatoes, that works too! Their needs will be catered. They will be part of our pack until you are ready to return home! During weekdays, pets will receive morning, afternoon and night walks. During days when I am at work, they get their longer walks during the afternoon and nights since I work 8-3 outside of the home. In the afternoon I make sure to give them lots of attention and weather permitting, take them to the yard to play fetch or let them run around a bit. During weekends, they receive longer walks/ park visits earlier in the day. Morning walks turn into park visits or small hikes, then midday walks depending on when we get home and night walks. Although my yard is not fenced, I have long 30 ft leashes long give your dog opportunity to run as they pleased. At my home, they will have friends to play with, feel love and care for. I love communicating with fur parents on how their pets are doing and easing any worry they may have about leaving their pet behind.

While I am a huge dog lover, my own home is currently a cat-only household because we rescued three cats from a shelter, one of whom is extremely sensitive to dogs. To ensure her comfort, we decided not to own a dog ourselves, so pet sitting gives me a wonderful opportunity to fulfill my passion for working with dogs. My personal experience with a high-needs, sensitive rescue cat has made me exceptionally patient and skilled in handling pets with various temperaments and specific needs. My approach to pet care focuses on proactive health, hygiene, and emotional well-being. In my own home and when sitting for clients, I prioritize hydration by mixing water and specialized supplements like cranberry powder into wet food to support urinary health, and I ensure a clean environment by scooping litter and washing bowls daily. Most importantly, I understand that pets—especially cats—communicate through subtle, "high-frequency, low-impact" social cues; I provide gentle affection and verbal greetings without overstimulating them, ensuring they feel respected and safe. I treat every animal as a sentient companion, balancing structured routines with the quiet, intuitive interaction they need to thrive.

About: I have a huge huskey back home so I have expericence with caring for large dogs and love them, (small ones too;). I'm the roomate who always walks my roomies dogs, and take care of them when needed. I've also cared for my friends pets overnight while they are away. I am trustworthy and honest. I have over ten years experince in child care so you can trust me with your furr babies! My Huskey is hard to walk and unfriendly so I have experince handling a challenge. I'm currently looking for a job so my avalibity is open all day. I can be avaibilble early in the morning or at night. I have a fenched yard for your pup to enjoy and run free. There is a wonderful frenchie living with me, so a friendly dog is a requirement if they wish to stay with me.

About: DAYS AND TIMES I AM UNAVAILABLE: (Rover doesn’t allow me to schedule times I am available) SAT 7/4 - 7am-8pm WED 7/8 - 4pm-9pm FRI 7/10 - 4pm-9pm SAT 7/11 - 12pm-4pm SUN 7/12 - 12pm-4pm MON 7/13 - 4pm-6pm WED 7/15 - 3pm-5pm I took care of my senior dog and administered her medications. I also worked at the Petsmart PetsHotel where I took care of and cleaned up after cats and dogs. I take care of my cat, grooming, playing, feed her, and I clean up after her. I also had a job with the dogs and cats in the Petsmart PetsHotel. Something you should also know is that I do have part time job and I am in school, so my schedule is always changing, but we can always work something out!

About: I’ve raised my own dog since he was a puppy, so I know exactly what dogs need at every stage. From early morning walks to keeping them entertained and fed, it’s just part of my daily routine. I didn’t just own a dog I grew up with him. Your dog will get the same attention and care I give mine every single day. Dogs get a morning walk around 10–10:30am, then they’re free to relax in the living room or hang out in the fenced backyard. Once it cools down in the evening I take them out again around 6–7pm. During the day they have access to the backyard for potty breaks whenever they need it. Before bed there’s one last walk around 11–11:30pm so they’re settled for the night. I have a fenced backyard so dogs can roam and play safely without any worry. I own a friendly dog myself so your pup will have a buddy to hang out with. We’re in a house so there’s plenty of space to move around and get comfortable. Dogs are welcome on the furniture I want them to feel at home, not like they’re in a strange place.

About: Growing up, I have always looked after dogs of close friends and family, and have studied nutrition and health, which led me to work at a pet hotel for about a year with almost every dog breed. My responsibilities included prepping food, cleaning, 1 on 1 play, and group play. I have been in charge of up to 20 dogs at 1 time. I also co-own a dog named Luna. The other owner and I had Luna since she was a puppy and she is now 5 years old. I teach obedience/behavior training to many dogs and I develop trust with dogs that is unique to my experience with various breeds. It takes patience and consistency to be a great leader for dogs and I wear my heart on my sleeve for every dog I'm caring for; communication with your dog is key. I have a good size open backyard and toys depending on the play style of your dog; crate training is much appreciated if they are familiar. Walks are frequent, especially for high energy dogs
