About: I’m dependable and reliable, attention to detail is my jam and I’m comfortable walking with small and big dogs or taking care of cats, even if it takes a while to warm up to a stranger in their home/space! even the most prickly cats eventually get won over! I’m currently working part time and my schedule is flexible! I love being able to walk and get outside or stay indoors to hang out with cats and dogs! I live with a disabled cat so making sure the apartment is safe and cat-proofed is key, and when pet sitting I make sure all escape routes are secured, feeding times and walk times are kept to schedule, and that there’s always room for play time!

About: I've taken care of dogs and animals of all kinds since I was 6 years old growing up in the farm. I was born and raised in Montenegro (in Europe). Now I am living in the city and I so very much miss being around animals. Dogs especially are truly amazing and my best friends. I ended up getting my dog Peanut in December of 2021, right after my diagnosis with stage 4 metastasis breast cancer. Peanut has been my life savior and I would do anything to make her happy and have her live the best life. Therefore my reasoning for doing Rover is to find a companion for Peanut to have a good time while I am also enjoying taking care of many other dogs 😊 I am an accountant and luckily I am working from home. My boyfriend is a Software developer and he works from home too. Your pup will be taken care of very well. My dog is a shihtzu/Havannese mix little girl born October 11th, 2021. I walk them every 2 hours and I take them for long walks to the park morning and late afternoon for longer time as needed. We have a lot of dog toys, including challenging games. I enjoy playing and cuddling with them, and they can sleep anywhere, couch or bed. They will always be under my supervision and attentive care. I have training in giving them medication, releasing them from stress, and an obedience course.

About: I grew up always surrounded by pets. I have consistently had family dogs since I was 6! I have been dog sitting for family and friends since 9-10 yrs old! I am currently a nursing student. Most of my free time is in the evening or on weekends, but I can make overnight dog sitting work! I am comfortable with walking dogs with or with out leashes. I am also an athlete/runner so I can also take dogs on runs if high energy!

Health and Safety Expertise: I’m well-versed in recognizing signs of illness or distress and am trained in basic pet first aid, so you can trust your pet’s health is in good hands. 4. Genuine Passion for Animals: My dedication goes beyond just a job—I see pet care as a way to build a bond and make a positive impact on their lives. Caring for pets, whether in my home or a client’s home, requires attentiveness, consistency, and adaptability to meet the individual needs of each animal. Here’s a breakdown of how I approach pet care in both settings: Caring for Pets in My Home: 1. Establishing a Routine: • I create a daily schedule for feeding, exercise, playtime, grooming, and rest, ensuring stability and comfort for my pets. • Meal times are consistent, and fresh water is always available. 2. Creating a Safe and Enriching Environment: • I ensure my home is pet-proofed, with no access to harmful plants, toxic substances, or dangerous objects. • I provide toys, scratching posts, and cozy sleeping areas tailored to their preferences. 3. Health and Hygiene: • I maintain clean litter boxes or outdoor areas for bathroom needs. • Regular grooming, nail trimming, and dental care are part of the routine. • I stay vigilant for signs of illness and keep up with vaccinations, vet checkups, and preventative care. 4. Bonding and Training: • I dedicate time daily for play, affection, and positive reinforcement training to build trust and strengthen our bond. Pet care is an integral part of my daily and weekly routine, as I prioritize the well-being, happiness, and health of the animals I care for. Here’s how it fits into my schedule: in the morning i start off by Feeding: I start the day by preparing fresh meals according to the pet’s specific dietary needs. Hydration: I ensure water bowls or fountains are clean and filled with fresh water. Bathroom Needs: For cats, I scoop litter boxes daily, and for dogs, I schedule morning walks to give them a chance to stretch and relieve themselves. During midday i help them Exercise: I schedule play sessions or walks to keep pets physically active and mentally stimulated. Engagement: This could include interactive toys, training sessions, or just quality time spent bonding with the pet. Cleaning: I tidy up their spaces, such as washing food bowls, refreshing bedding, or cleaning up any messes. In the evening it is Dinner Time: Another feeding session, ensuring pets stick to their routine. Grooming: For long-haired pets or those that shed a lot, I brush their fur. Nail trimming or light cleaning (like wiping paws) happens as needed. And finally Wind-Down: I end the day with calm activities, like cuddling or relaxing together, ensuring they feel secure before bedtime.

Stephanie A.
“As new helicopter dog parents of a rescue who has her quirks and is still in training, Stephanie has been a Godsend. She fully understands our concerns and what our dog may need. More so, she is very patient and is genuinely a dog person. She treats the dogs in her care as if they are her own. We trust her and her experience gives her a wide range of skills in caring for dogs of all sizes and ages. She isn’t afraid of large dogs and has the patience for noisy little dogs who think they are human. She won over our dog who is a bit reserved, whiny, and not the cuddly type. I feel confident having our dog and other people’s dogs in her care and in her home.”

Faith A.
“Faith has always loved animals ever since she was a little girl. Animals can sense this and they enjoy being around her. Faith has a very kind and calm personality. She is majoring in nursing at Wagner college because of her desire and interest to help and care for others. In addition, Faith is very mature and responsible. She balances a difficult major while also playing on the women’s soccer team at Wagner. All of these attributes make her an excellent candidate for a pet caregiver.”
