“Kayla was wonderful! She was very attentive, communicated clearly throughout, and truly went above and beyond. I felt completely at ease knowing my pets were in such great hands. I would absolutely recommend her to anyone looking for a reliable and caring pet sitter.”

“Jenna is amazing! I have complete peace of mind knowing she's taking care of my baby. This is the second time she took care of my cat and I will definitely request her again! 😁”

“Tee is amazing! Always on time and on top of everything. Great communication… Keeps me informed throughout the visit. Thumbs up all around, would highly recommend!”

“Oleg was nothing short of incredible. My wife and I were traveling for our wedding and we hadn't used Rover before. Oleg put any nerves we had about leaving our pets alone at ease. He was communicative, caring, and you could tell he really enjoyed playing with the cats. He stayed later than required in all three visits and blew up our phones with pictures and videos. I highly recommend Oleg and would definitely book him again.”

About: I was 13 when I got my first Pomeranian puppy. Having a Pomeranian helped teach me patience, calming down an anxious puppy, and understanding boundaries. I also have experience with more hyper breeds such as border collies. When I was 17 my brother bought home a border collie and I helped raise him a lot. I also had many lizards and hamsters. I love bonding with different animals and getting to know their unique personalities. Currently working part time. So I have plenty of time to myself. I am looking for something that makes me feel more connected with myself so I am giving rover a try :) I care for my pets by simply being gentle and trying to understand them. For example- my dog hates the broom when I am sweeping. Instead of yelling at her I put down the broom, picked her up and told her it’s okay. I set her down on my bed, gave her a biscuit, and picked up the broom. As I did this I spoke in a soft voice and told her she’s being good and that it’s okay.
“We truly hit the pet-sitter jackpot. I hesitate to leave this review for fear that Tammy will become so beloved across Rover she will no longer have time for us! From the moment we met Tammy, it was clear our cats were possibly in better hands than our own (honestly, they seemed a little disappointed when we came back). Updates were consistent, thoughtful, and often included photos that looked like they belonged in a pet lifestyle magazine—somehow capturing both chaos and cuteness in equal measure. Our home was cared for, our girls were happy, and we’re fairly certain they learned better manners while we were gone which raises some questions about our own management style. What really stood out was the genuine care and attention—this wasn’t just “checking in,” it was full-on VIP treatment. Visits weren’t rushed, playtime wasn’t optional, and every detail was handled like it mattered (because it does). If you’re looking for someone trustworthy, communicative, and clearly loved by animals, stop looking—you’ve found them. Just be warned: your pets may start expecting this level of service from you afterward. I still haven't mastered Tammy's double-Churu-dispensing skills, and the judgment from our girls is palpable.”

“Abigail was excellent with our dog. She was always on time and made sure Hazel got lots of exercise and attention when she visited. She listened to our needs and made sure to follow everything we asked of her and kept Hazel's routines as close as to what she was already used to. Our dog loved her and we will def be using Abigail again.”

About: I have taken care of my neighborhood dogs for the past few years. I have also been setting up occurring dog play dates around my neighborhood and dog walks. I am currently working remotely and am pretty flexible when it comes to walking dogs or stopping by for a drop-in visit. I am available Mondays to Thursdays and occasionally over the weekends as well. I regularly walk my dog Bandi; and create a safe and inclusive community by setting up dog play dates with the dogs in my neighborhood.
“The best of the best!!! If I could give Ursula a million stars I would. She watched my three cats when we went on a family vacation. I was nervous leaving them in the care of a stranger. She came to my house to meet me and them, and the second I met her I felt at ease and knew my babies were going to be in great hands. She is a licensed vet tech which certainly was a plus for me, but besides that, her entire demeanor was just wonderful. She did twice daily drop in visits and sent me pics, videos and write ups about each visit assuring me that my babies were all doing great. She literally went above and beyond and I thank my lucky stars that Rover led us to her. I am now spoiled and can never use another pet sitter, because she truly is the best.”

About: *DOGS MUST BE GOOD WITH OTHER DOGS AND CATS* (I have THREE CATS and A DOG!!) My times for daycare are 8 am - 6 pm ONLY! (Mon-Fri) if outside this range, I will discuss additional payment. I have had dogs since I was a child. I’ve always had a love and care for any animal no matter the breed or size. During college, I worked at a vet as a daycare kennel assistant where I gained knowledge on the care of dogs. I know how to walk dogs, bathe them, cut their nails, etc. I work from home so I’m able to look over your fur baby! My boyfriend helps me from time to time and will help me look after any animal I have. I do go to the gym every so often so your dog needs to be able to be by themselves at least 1 hour, either crate trained or is able to be out without scratching or destroying anything. I have a fenced yard and live in a dog friendly neighborhood. I have a border collie mix and 3 cats in my house who are used to being around other dogs and mostly keep to themselves! If needed, my cats are able to be separated from your fur baby but I prefer friendly dogs!
“Beth was absolutely amazing. Reliable dependable and peace of mind. Ruby was very happy. I would use Beth every time I go away. She’s a real gem. I am lucky to have found her.”

“Alexis was wonderful with my dog and cat. She met them a week before. My dog instantly got along with her. Alexis has a very kind and caring aura to her that my pets picked up on and were comfortable with her right away. My husband and I will be reaching out to her for any future trips.”

“Amazing sitter! My kitty kitty couldn’t wait for her to arrive every day. Going above and beyond, sitting and spending time with my kitty, making sure he had plenty of pets and love. Changing his food and water daily with multiple photos and videos to keep me in the loop. Noelle did a fantastic job and definitely will be using her again!”

“Excellent experience with Lin. She went above and beyond to make sure our cats had everything they needed. Communicating with every visit with pictures and details, letting us know the exact situation, was very helpful to keep us reassured everything was fine.”

About: What sets me apart is the level of care, patience, and attention I give every pet. I truly treat animals like family, and I know how important it is for pet parents to feel comfortable and updated while they’re away. I focus on making pets feel safe, loved, and relaxed in their normal routine. I’m dependable, communicative, and pay close attention to each pet’s personality and needs — whether that means extra playtime for energetic dogs, patience with shy or anxious pets, or a slower pace and gentle care for senior dogs. Pet care is already a big part of my daily routine and something I genuinely enjoy making time for. I’m used to planning my days around feeding schedules, walks, check-ins, and giving pets the attention and consistency they need. I care for animals every day, including feeding and looking after stray cats in my area, so caring for pets feels very natural to me and is something I’m committed to year-round. I enjoy being active, spending time outdoors, and giving pets companionship, exercise, and comfort while their owners are away. When caring for pets in a client’s home, I do my best to keep their routine as normal and stress-free as possible. I follow all feeding, walking, medication, and sleep schedules closely so pets feel comfortable and secure in their familiar environment. I make sure pets get plenty of attention, exercise, playtime, and companionship — not just the basics. I also keep pet parents updated with photos and messages so they always know how their pet is doing. For dogs, I focus on safe walks, play, bathroom breaks, and making sure they get enough activity and affection based on their energy level and personality. For cats, I understand the importance of patience and routine, especially with shy or anxious cats, and I make sure litter boxes, feeding areas, and water stay clean and fresh. I’m attentive to pets’ behavior and comfort and will always let owners know right away if something seems unusual. My goal is for pets to feel safe, loved, and relaxed while their owners are away. 🐾

Alexis is wonderful! I would highly recommend her to anyone needing a pet sitter! She put our family at ease when she met us and our two cats before our vacation. She listened and followed through on all their needs while we were away posting great photos and Rover notes after each visit. She is truly caring and made sure the cats had playtime and their medication. We will definitely be contacting her again for future trips!

Andrew is amazing right from the meet and greet through taking care of my two dogs while I was away. The dogs loved him! He was prompt and very reliable. Sent me pictures of the dogs on every visit he made to them. While talking about the dogs to him he gave me so tips about my concerns. He's trustworthy and reliable.
Lin was amazing with Simba and Sydney! She took such great care of them, played with them, and treated them like her own. She even brought over a can of wet food for them to try, which was so thoughtful. I really appreciated all the updates and the love she gave them. She also brought a letter from her cat, Wednesday, and my cats loved it! I came home to two very happy cats. Thank you so much, Lin! I’ll definitely book with you again.

Kayla was wonderful! She was very attentive, communicated clearly throughout, and truly went above and beyond. I felt completely at ease knowing my pets were in such great hands. I would absolutely recommend her to anyone looking for a reliable and caring pet sitter.

As always Noelle and Victor went above and beyond for our pups. Sundae is very timid and warmed up to them right away, that’s how you know they’re great. And Chili was super excited to see them which is no surprise, they’re besties lol. Thank you guys so much!!

This is the second time Taylor has taken care of my 5 cats. She was great with them and they can sometimes be handful. One is on a special diet and others need to be monitored as they eat. She followed all instructions and sent great pictures. I would definitely trust her with my furbabies again.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
