About: I am a former animal care specialist at Pet N’ Play Luxury Resort, when I was living in upstate NY. Currently living in Staten Island Richmond County, and at the resort I supported cats and dogs for overnight stay at our daycare, as well as the veterinary hospital next door (Middlehope Hospital)! I worked with animals for playtime, feeding, laundry, cleanup, walks, and maintained their health and wellness report cards everyday. I have supported puppies at least 4 months old, blind, deaf, and senior dogs. CATS: I’ve taken care of cats at the hospital, and as a Walden Humane Society Volunteer! From the moment we met Tammy, it was clear our cats were possibly in better hands than our own (honestly, they seemed a little disappointed when we came back). Updates were consistent, thoughtful, and often included photos that looked like they belonged in a pet lifestyle magazine—somehow capturing both chaos and cuteness in equal measure. Our home was cared for, our girls were happy, and we’re fairly certain they learned better manners while we were gone which raises some questions about our own management style. What really stood out was the genuine care and attention—this wasn’t just “checking in,” it was full-on VIP treatment. Visits weren’t rushed, playtime wasn’t optional, and every detail was handled like it mattered (because it does).
