“Kay and her family are the best! I was a little concerned leaving our 15 yo mini schnauzer only because we have never boarded her or had her stay outside of our own home but I just knew that Kay was the perfect fit and I was not wrong. Sooo happy to have a found somewhere that I have complete confidence that our little princess is being taken care of. Highly recommend!”

“Alicia was absolutley fantastic! She was very easy to deal with and kept us up to date on how our dog was doing the entire time we were gone. I would definitely use her again! Thank you Alicia!”

“We highly recommend Kyle! Our dog, Waffles, loves to stay with them, we have used Kyle several times for long trips and we appreciate the updates he sends us and love that our dog just gets to join in on their day to day routine! Love coming home from a trip to a happy and tired dog.”

“We have used Elizabeth and Erik multiple times now! They treat our dog like their own and he always comes home worn out from all the great playing and attention they offer him!”

“Maria is exceptional! I have two dogs and Maria treats my dogs as though they are Maria’s. Maria is very thorough and attention to detail; I have never had anyone write down notes regarding information about my dogs and their daily routine. This was a first when I met Maria. Great job and much appreciated! Maria is very kind and accommodating, providing a very personal touch when she provides me with updates and images when my dogs are in Maria’s care. We love her large fenced in (privacy fence) back yard as well!!! I give Maria my highest recommendation.”
“If we could rate higher than 5 stars, we would. Ramanda and her family took such good care of our dogs, Punky and Elmer. When we have left our dogs with caregivers in the past at times we have worried about their care. We can honestly say we had absolutely no worries with Ramanda and her family taking care of our boys. Communication and attention to details about their feeding schedule, etc. etc. were excellent. Bottom line is that they really, really care about animals and the quality of care they provide. Ramanda sent many pictures of Punky and Elmer with all family members involved with them. Her girls provided so much attention and love that was so much appreciated. It's nice to know your pets will be well taken care of when having to leave them behind. Thank-you.”

“Melinda was great! She clearly loved on my pup & treated her very well! She gave wonderful updates with pictures and asked questions to give my pup the best care. Melinda was also very responsive and took my pup last minute. If I wasn't passing through, Melinda would be my regular sitter!”

“Amazing, Professional, Efficient, Loving, Caring, I can go on and on. Texted, & sent photo's. Ian left no room for worry. I will definitely recommend Ian. Bekkah Juliette and I are Team Ian...”

“I 100% recommend Katie (and her daughter!) for dog boarding! Our dog Banjo was wonderfully cared for, and Katie's dog, Tito, was a terrific playmate! The fenced backyard was a great space for our pup to burn some energy and the home was so nicely set up for dog care. We are so thankful to have found Katie where we know our pup will have so much fun, and be so loved and cared for when we are away.”

“My first time using Rover! Judy was wonderful, taking exceptional care of my pug, Romeo. He was happy, content and settled right in. Judy texted updates with pictures daily! I was able to enjoy my trip knowing he was being well cared for. Thank you, Judy!”

“Mocha had lots of fun with Loretta! Mocha got to go on many walks, and was provided with more than enough time to get all the exercise she needed. Loretta was very attentive to Mocha, and ensured all her needs were always met!”

“Jordon and Melisa are wonderful, and their kids are very sweet with our pup! First time finding sitters for our “new to us” golden and I knew she would have such a great time with this family. I think she’s bored at home now! Jordon and Melisa sent photos and updated multiple times and I know our sweet girl was in great hands.”

“Lori was amazing! She made Nipsey feel like a part of the family! She updated me everyday and sent pictures of Nipsey. Nipsey definitely enjoyed himself and we will most certainly book her again!”

“Ali and her fiancé provide the perfect home away from home. It is very obvious that they truly love animals and make sure to treat yours as their own. Will definitely ok again.”

“Wrenlee loved Jessica from the moment she met her. I felt so comfortable leaving her in such good hands. Wrenlee had a wonderful time & loved playing with Jessica’s dogs. I would high recommend her!!!”

“Shreya and her family took great care of our dog! He is high energy and anxious and we were grateful for the patience and care they provided! We would forsure have our dog there again and recommend her to anyone!”

“Buddy enjoyed his stay! Great fenced in yard to run and play with the other dogs. We appreciated getting pictures and updates while we were away. Buddy came home ready to nap after having so much fun! Will definitely stay again. Thank you! Carrie & Dan”

Pet parents share their Rover experiences - Champlin
Laurie was so great with our dogs while we were away for almost two weeks. We have a senior dog and a one year old energetic dog-so very different needs. Laurie was great with both of them! Communication, including pictures, put our mind at ease that the dogs were doing well. We are so thankful for Laurie that we found a good fit.

Megan and her husband Michael were awesome!!!! My dog had a vacation of her own! She was very well taken care of and I feel like treated like she was one of their own!!! She got along perfectly with their other dogs and had the time of her life! She e received daily updates and pictures which I was very grateful for! I cannot wait to have Megan and Michael care for Lottie in the future I am so grateful I found them!

We were so fortunate to find Margaret! She promptly answered our request and set a meet and greet. As soon as we met her we knew she was the right person to care of Bandit. Margaret is kind, welcoming and thoughtful, she took care of Bandit as he was her own. Her wonderful care helped him come out of his shell and have fun. We looked forward to the updates Margaret would send our way, it was a joy to see Bandit having the best time. Margaret and her family are the best hosts and we would love for Bandit to stay with them again.

Stephanie and Nick took great care of our 2 dogs for 10 days while we were on vacation. Even our shy girl Gertie warmed up and got lots of snuggles. From the moment we met, you could tell they were dogs people. Their dog Cooper is so sweet too. They made me feel so at ease with leaving our babies with them. We will use them again in the future for sure.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in MN ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies. Cats may be required to have Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis and Rabies up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a board-certified veterinarian or offer other resources to help.
If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s reservation protection means our team will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
