“Sophia and Travis were so welcoming to our two Goldens. Their calm demeaner and obvious love for dogs made us feel so comfortable leaving our dogs with them. It was great that our dogs could stay together in the same stall and they sent pictures of them running and playing with the other dogs. Will definitely use them again. And it was such a great location with the other farm animals viewable but separate from the dogs. What a great find for dog boarding.”

“Leaving my little dog with Kayti was a breeze. She has the perfect set up for taking care of our fur babies and I will definitely use her services again. Thank you Kayti!”

“This is her second time watching our dog. She’s amazing!! Sends daily updates and we can tell our dog is super happy and comfortable around her. We will be booking again!”

“Derek took a great care of my dog and followed all of the instructions, including medications. My dog was in a good mood when I returned to pick him up. Photo updates were super helpful too. Thank you, Derek!”

“Tanya was great. Responsive and sweet with our sometimes anxious corgi; she even got her to eat on the first day, which hasn't always happened with other boarders. We appreciate you, Tanya!”

“I wish I could give a 100 star review. Kyle is amazing and our dogs are so comfortable and happy at his house and with his family. I am beyond thankful for being able to drop our dogs off at a place they love and with a family that take such good care of them!”

“Mayumi provided the utmost best care for my senior dog, Moose. He stayed in her home while I spent 12 days abroad, a healthy and clean environment for any pet’s care. I received daily photos and updates of my dog and she even ran out to the store get more dog food when the food I left with her ran out. I would recommend anyone to Mayumi. 10/10 Service.”

“Megan and Brandon were very accommodating and responsive. My dog was able to run around their wonderful fenced in backyard and play with their two dogs. I had full confidence in their ability to take care of him.”

“Ian was an amazing sitter for our dog. He took notes during our meet and greet and sent pictures daily. I felt at ease leaving our dog. I actually think she was kinda sad leaving him and coming home...lol.”

“Yuliya and her family were great with our dogs. They seemed to love exploring the backyard. Our dogs came home happy. Yuliya kept us updated with pictures and videos of the dogs while we were on a family vacation. Thanks so much.”

“Jordon and Melissa took great care of our mini golden doodle puppy for a long weekend sending lots of pictures of her having so much fun with the whole family! They were also flexible with our pick up and drop off which we really appreciated.”

“Judy did a wonderful job watching my puppy. She seemed to really enjoy spending time with her and kept me updated during my trip. I will definitely be bringing her back the next time we need care!”

“Lori was amazing! She made Nipsey feel like a part of the family! She updated me everyday and sent pictures of Nipsey. Nipsey definitely enjoyed himself and we will most certainly book her again!”

“Wesley was fantastic with our dog while for four nights of boarding. He was exceptionally good at communicating, sending updaters with photos, and making us feel at ease even though we hadn’t worked with Wesley before. It was so lovely to pick our pup up from Wesley where he was smiling and clearly well cared for! We will definitely ask Wesley to help again in the future.”

“Dave is exceptional! He was extremely patient and kind with my two dogs, as they both require extra patience, as one is very old and one is a barky two-year-old. We felt that our elderly and very young dogs were in excellent hands with Dave. He is also a great communicator and responds quicky with any questions. Thank you so much, Dave!”

“Apollo seemed to have a great time. He got walks and seem to integrate well with their family. He was exhausted when he got home which is the sign of a great time! Pictures were sent when I requested them as I was nervous as it was his first time away. I will definitely bring him back. Thank you for taking great care of him.”

“Buddy enjoyed his stay! Great fenced in yard to run and play with the other dogs. We appreciated getting pictures and updates while we were away. Buddy came home ready to nap after having so much fun! Will definitely stay again. Thank you! Carrie & Dan”

Brenda and Alvin welcomed Elsie into their home with open arms and care…and she warmed up to them immediately! They were thoughtful with questions to ensure her needs were met with a focus on making her feel loved while she was there. Getting a peek into her first stay with them through the pictures we received was priceless! We’ve already booked with them again!

We couldn’t have asked for a better dog sitter! From the moment we contacted Britni, we felt completely comfortable leaving our dog in her care. Britni and her whole family were incredibly kind, reliable, attentive, and kept us updated throughout our time away, which gave us such peace of mind. Our dog was so happy and well cared for, and it was obvious that they genuinely love animals. Everything was handled perfectly, and we came home to a very happy, relaxed doggie. We would 100% recommend them to anyone looking for a trustworthy, caring, and dependable dog sitter. We’ll definitely be booking with them again! Thanks again Britni ❤️🐾

Megan and her husband Michael were awesome!!!! My dog had a vacation of her own! She was very well taken care of and I feel like treated like she was one of their own!!! She got along perfectly with their other dogs and had the time of her life! She e received daily updates and pictures which I was very grateful for! I cannot wait to have Megan and Michael care for Lottie in the future I am so grateful I found them!

We were so fortunate to find Margaret! She promptly answered our request and set a meet and greet. As soon as we met her we knew she was the right person to care of Bandit. Margaret is kind, welcoming and thoughtful, she took care of Bandit as he was her own. Her wonderful care helped him come out of his shell and have fun. We looked forward to the updates Margaret would send our way, it was a joy to see Bandit having the best time. Margaret and her family are the best hosts and we would love for Bandit to stay with them again.

Stephanie and Nick took great care of our 2 dogs for 10 days while we were on vacation. Even our shy girl Gertie warmed up and got lots of snuggles. From the moment we met, you could tell they were dogs people. Their dog Cooper is so sweet too. They made me feel so at ease with leaving our babies with them. We will use them again in the future for sure.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in MN ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies. Cats may be required to have Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis and Rabies up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a board-certified veterinarian or offer other resources to help.
If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s reservation protection means our team will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
