“Kay and family was definitely a godsend in my last minute attempt to find care for my dog, Henry. Daily updates with pictures and videos and great communication helped me relax knowing he was in good hands. My dog has special needs in the center where he has attachment issues and there was always somebody home at Kay‘s house to be with Henry and her family is just as calming and sweet as what you would picture from her description and photos. Not only a great dog sitter but an amazing human being in life! Can’t thank you all enough!”
“Ramanda and family take very good care for our dog. And our dog is very happy with Ramanda and family! She always happy to run into their home, whenever I bring her to their home. Thank you so much!”

“Melinda was able to watch our pups for one night over Labor Day weekend for our wedding night. She was extremely friendly, provided updates and photos of our pups throughout the day and next morning. Was more than accommodating to changing drop off and pickup times with our busy wedding schedule and made it work no problem! Will definitely use her again if we’re back in the area:)”

“Kayti was awesome with our dog and highly recommended!!!We will def. be using her again for future trips and referring her to our friends. She treated our dog like her own. We got lots of pictures and videos from her throughout our vacation. Thank again.”

“I found Alicia initially because our normal dog-sitter was booked and I was impressed by her great reviews. Well, they were very accurate and our dogs had a great time staying with her! We are "those" over protective dog parents but felt very reassured with Alicia watching our babies after meeting her. It was even better that she sent us many photos of our dogs playing and resting comfortably at her home. We will definitely use her again!”

“Mocha had lots of fun with Loretta! Mocha got to go on many walks, and was provided with more than enough time to get all the exercise she needed. Loretta was very attentive to Mocha, and ensured all her needs were always met!”

“Laurie was wonderful!! She took great care of our Murphy. Lots of outside time - he loved her fenced in backyard! Laurie sent great updates and pictures, and was super responsive and timely with messaging. We’d love to book with her again!”

“Jaci & Jamie did a wonderful job watching my Josie. She is usually anxious with new environments, but it only took her a day to warm up. She loved being with their family and other dogs. Would definitely recommend!”

“Elizabeth and Erik did a wonderful job. They sent daily updates and were quick to respond to all of my messages. I will be using their service again in the future!”

“Maria was absolutely wonderful. She took such great care of my pup, Baylee, and kept me updated with regular messages and photos, which gave me real peace of mind while I was away. It was clear from the start that she’s attentive, thoughtful, and genuinely loves what she does. My dog came home happy, relaxed, and well cared for. I wouldn’t hesitate to book with Maria again and highly recommend her to anyone looking for a reliable and caring sitter.”

About: Animals have been a huge part of my life for as long as I can remember. Growing up, my house was basically a little zoo, with dogs, cats, guinea pigs, hamsters, rabbits, and more! Caring for animals has always come naturally to me, and I truly love getting to know each pet’s unique personality. Because my pets lived long, happy lives, I also have experience caring for senior pets, including administering medication, changing diapers, and providing the extra patience and attention they deserve. During college, I volunteered at an animal shelter for nearly two years, which gave me even more hands-on experience with animals of all ages and temperaments. I know our pets are family, and I’ll care for yours with the same love, patience, and attention I’d give my own. I am currently working full time so I want to pick up some evening gigs here and there until i get my footing. I’m hoping to start working part time in the near future so i will be more available for longer drop ins or stays/boarding. I have 2 cats in my home. 1 is great with other animals and kind of acts like they’re not there and the other is a great hider if she wants nothing to do with others. We have a 2 level townhouse so I could always block off the areas or rooms if needed. There is plenty of grass and trails by my home too for walks and potty breaks! At your home, that environment looks different for everyone. I’m happy to learn your routine for what works best for your pet!
“Moose stayed with Karissa again, and it was another great experience. When I picked him up it was clear he had been very well cared for and loved while we were away. He didn’t seem too eager to leave which says it all! Thanks so much for taking such great care of him.”

“We have left our dog with Alisha & Cameron on several occasions now. Rue absolutely adores going to their house and always comes home tuckered out, happy, and healthy! They are very attentive, experienced, and regularly send us pup updates during our trips. We cannot recommend them enough and will continue using their services for future travels!”

“I 100% recommend Katie (and her daughter!) for dog boarding! Our dog Banjo was wonderfully cared for, and Katie's dog, Tito, was a terrific playmate! The fenced backyard was a great space for our pup to burn some energy and the home was so nicely set up for dog care. We are so thankful to have found Katie where we know our pup will have so much fun, and be so loved and cared for when we are away.”

“Cassidy was very responsive and gave up regularly updates. She made sure that our pup got regular exercise throughout the day. Will be booking with her again.”

“Jessica is such a fun and thoughtful sitter! She’s a great fit for our small breed pup, and we can’t wait to use her on an extended stay! Chauncey had a great time and was so exhausted that he slept the whole day. Thank you!”

“Shreya and her family took great care of our dog! He is high energy and anxious and we were grateful for the patience and care they provided! We would forsure have our dog there again and recommend her to anyone!”

“Mayumi provided the utmost best care for my senior dog, Moose. He stayed in her home while I spent 12 days abroad, a healthy and clean environment for any pet’s care. I received daily photos and updates of my dog and she even ran out to the store get more dog food when the food I left with her ran out. I would recommend anyone to Mayumi. 10/10 Service.”

Pet parents share their Rover experiences - Champlin
Laurie was so great with our dogs while we were away for almost two weeks. We have a senior dog and a one year old energetic dog-so very different needs. Laurie was great with both of them! Communication, including pictures, put our mind at ease that the dogs were doing well. We are so thankful for Laurie that we found a good fit.

Megan and her husband Michael were awesome!!!! My dog had a vacation of her own! She was very well taken care of and I feel like treated like she was one of their own!!! She got along perfectly with their other dogs and had the time of her life! She e received daily updates and pictures which I was very grateful for! I cannot wait to have Megan and Michael care for Lottie in the future I am so grateful I found them!

We were so fortunate to find Margaret! She promptly answered our request and set a meet and greet. As soon as we met her we knew she was the right person to care of Bandit. Margaret is kind, welcoming and thoughtful, she took care of Bandit as he was her own. Her wonderful care helped him come out of his shell and have fun. We looked forward to the updates Margaret would send our way, it was a joy to see Bandit having the best time. Margaret and her family are the best hosts and we would love for Bandit to stay with them again.

Stephanie and Nick took great care of our 2 dogs for 10 days while we were on vacation. Even our shy girl Gertie warmed up and got lots of snuggles. From the moment we met, you could tell they were dogs people. Their dog Cooper is so sweet too. They made me feel so at ease with leaving our babies with them. We will use them again in the future for sure.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in MN ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies. Cats may be required to have Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis and Rabies up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a board-certified veterinarian or offer other resources to help.
If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s reservation protection means our team will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
