Since I offer a variety of services in addition to my job, my schedule fluctuates regularly and is highly individualized to the needs of my repeat clients. Due to unpredictable travel times, I may not be able to accept all requests for visits requiring travel south of the Ferry Street Bridge.

Safety is my priority! Whether it's your pet or your home, I will take every precaution possible. If there is a unique situation, I'll discuss it with you before booking or work with you to find a solution if it occurs during a booking. I am bonded and insured through Pet Sitter Associates in addition to the Rover Guarantee. Regarding the cancellation on my profile in Sept of 2023, I was in contact with the client more than one week in advance due to the imminent death of a family member. We verbally cancelled but did not cancel on Rover, hence the review.

Pet care experience
Daycare and Boarding: Our focus is senior dogs, shy pups, and dogs with special needs. If your dog has white whiskers, suffers from some anxiety or physical disabilities, or simply enjoys a quieter, slower pace, they will fit right in with our regular crew. My husband and I provide individualized care and accessibility options. All ages (1+) are welcome but very playful dogs or pups who love to wrestle will have more fun at a different home with similarly active dogs. Dog Walks and Drop Ins: Walks are based on your preference; you let me know if the walk is more for physical exercise, mental exercise, potty break, or all of the above. Drop In visits can include playtime in the yard, meals, cuddling/socializing, cage or litter box cleaning, etc. I have experience administering medication and visiting various types of pets including: tortoises, parrots, cats, chickens, fish, ferrets, rabbits, guinea pigs, etc. ------------------------------------------------------------------- I am a lifelong dog owner (all rescues) and have experience training dogs in obedience and competition agility. My 7+ years on Rover.com have been fantastic; I have met some of the best pets and their humans! --------------------------------------------------------------------

Reviews

Margaret has been incredibly sweet, trustworthy, and understanding! Can’t wait to use her again!

We were so fortunate to find Margaret! She promptly answered our request and set a meet and greet. As soon as we met her we knew she was the right person to care of Bandit. Margaret is kind, welcoming and thoughtful, she took care of Bandit as he was her own. Her wonderful care helped him come out of his shell and have fun. We looked forward to the updates Margaret would send our way, it was a joy to see Bandit having the best time. Margaret and her family are the best hosts and we would love for Bandit to stay with them again.
My dog Ein had a great time and I got frequent reports from Margaret to put my mind at ease. She does a great job and will treat your pet like her own.

This is the second time we’ve had Margaret stay with our pets while we went on vacation. If you’re looking for the perfect pet sitting experience, then she’s the person to book. Her attention to detail cannot be overstated. Being able to leave our 3 dogs in someone’s hands as capable as hers is worth every penny and then some. You can’t put a price on piece of mind. We highly recommend her, and hope she will be available for our next trip.
