“This was our first Rover experience and with our 4 month old puppy and everything was excellent! We really appreciated the regular communication and pictures. We feel that our puppy became part of Kyle’s family and it was so nice they have an older lab to teach our puppy manners and play with her. The fenced in yard was nice to help keep a puppy close by. We would definitely recommend Camp Coco and will hope to have our pup visit again in the future!”

“Shari and her family made our dog feel so at home during his stay! We appreciated the frequent updates and photos. We will definitely ask them to take care of our pup again in the future 😄”

“Cassandra, Eric, and their kids were so sweet with our dog. They sent us daily photos and updates about his activities. We would definitely book them again.”

“If you're looking for the best, no need to search any further. Leza did an amazing job watching Maxwell (our 12 year Labradoodle) for a full week. He has separation anxiety when we leave him anywhere, but didn't experience any of that with Leza. She honed in pretty quick on what his hot buttons were which were walks and of course his treats. There was some medication administration that she had no issues with doing. He was the same happy boy when we picked him up that he was when we dropped him off, which was a first for us. Thanks Leza, Maxwell had an awesome stay with you and is now his preferred stay provider.”

“Caitlin was very attentive to our dog's needs and did everything possible to make him comfortable. Caitlin responded quickly to our messages, and we received daily updates and pictures. Will definitely be using them again!”

“We had a wonderfull experience with April. We were sent lots of pictures and updates that were a constant reassurance for us. At pick-up our dogs were happy and relaxed. We will be booking with April again in the future.”

“Archie was very comfortable with Maria during our meet up so I knew I had made the right choice in booking her for sitting services. Archie was happy and healthy, and very excited during pickup. After getting rid of his first day jitters, he was right at home. I know Archie really appreciated Maria’s large fenced in backyard and being in company of other dogs she was sitting for the week. Would definitely recommend Maria for future services!”

“Andrea is absolutely amazing. She takes care of our dogs like they are her own. The dogs are excited when we go to drop them off! She has an amazing backyard that is fenced in so they get lots of playtime! She sends updates along with pictures throughout their stay, which is so appreciated!”

“Manami was able to take care of Yoshi for a work day under short notice while my apartment had an inspection. It went very well and it helped us out in a tight spot! Yoshi seems to like her as well! And he takes a bit to warm up to people.”

“Very easy booking and the communication was excellent. Maria took great care of my two pups and sent many pictures and videos. We are very happy with her and will definitely book again!”

“Sadie, my sometimes excitable dog, had a great two week vacation with Sophan and her husband. She enjoyed racing around a large yard, snuggling next to them on the couch. Sophan cared for her as if she was her own dog. When I picked her up, she was very clearly happy with them and their grandchildren who were visiting. When I need a sitter again, Sadie will return to Sophan.”

“Nicole is an awesome sitter! We have two dogs that are often scared of other dogs. Nicole and family always had people around looking after and cuddling with our two guys. And her pets were great with our dogs! Nicole sent daily pics of our pups enjoying laps and sofas. I would most certainly take my dogs back to Nicole and family in the future!”

“Rene is great and my dog King loves her. Apparently he sneaked out under a small rabbit hole - not her fault cuz King tends to dig and look for where he can escape. He returned without problem and I will always continue to use Rene as my doggy sitter. She takes great care of him!!”

“We couldn’t have asked for a better sitter than Shreya. She boarded our dog for a full week and treated him like family. She was attentive, patient, and very communicative, sending frequent updates and photos. Our dog came back relaxed and happy, which says everything. It’s clear she genuinely loves dogs. We will definitely use her services again and strongly recommend her.”

“Rosie loved her time with Patricia and Patrick. She decided Patrick was her special person and followed him everywhere. She was so loved and well taken care of! Patricia and Patrick are such lovely people!”

“Susan and Craig were outstanding caretakers! They took Navi for mutiple walks, played, cuddles…all the things she loves! They also sent pics and videos which helped us feel better. We would book with them again in a heartbeat!”

Pet parents share their Rover experiences - Rogers
Very caring household! We have a dog who has epilepsy and therefore has seizures every few weeks. Unfortunately, there is no way to know when exactly he will have one. Ashly and Ryan were aware of this and aware of his special needs with medications, sleeping needs, etc. and assured us that they would take good care of our special guy. While we were out of state, our sweet pup had seizures. They kept us well informed and went above and beyond to make sure that he was driven to a distant emergency vet that we trust and even stayed with him there until they knew he was OK. We could tell they were doing everything possible to show love for our dog and also keep us reassured while we were gone. It’s a horrible feeling to be so far away when this happens but Ashly and Ryan showed us and our pup so much compassion that we knew he was in very good and capable hands! We don’t trust very many people to care for our dog, as we consider him part of our family…We absolutely would recommend Ashly and Ryan to treat your dog like family, as well!

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in MN ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies. Cats may be required to have Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis and Rabies up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a board-certified veterinarian or offer other resources to help.
If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s reservation protection means our team will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
