About: I’ve been a dog owner since the age of 8. I love taking dogs on walks, pet sitting and especially taking my dog to the off the leash dog park where she is happiest. I’m very good with all types of dogs and very patient. My wife calls me the dog whisperer. My weeknights are free and weekends are free. My wife works the opposite schedule as me so she is available during the day. It works for both dog walking and pet sitting. I have a very sweet Alaskan Husky who loves going to the dog park and is very sweet and very good with all types of dogs. We have a fenced in backyard and a pet friendly home. We have three kids who love dogs and 1 dog of our own. We love caring for dogs and getting them (and me) plenty of exercise.
“I’m very new to this pet sitting thing but I think overall it seemed to go okay. I needed to board her due to a move. Skye is busy checking out the new place. I would use her again for sure.”

“Lori and her family were wonderful hosts for our Great Dane Gretta! Through the week we received pictures and updates on Gretta's stay. Immediately we could tell she was welcomed in and was feeling right at home. We will definitely utilize Lori in the future and would highly recommend Lori if you need someone to trust with your puppy!”

“Rachel and her husband were awesome sitters for my dog. They were accommodating for a last-minute out of town work trip and provided photo updates as I was gone. I would definitely recommend.”

“Outstanding service. Meg provided daily updates and did a phenomenal job with our dog. I would highly recommend her to anyone seeking quality care when boarding their pet.”

“Alanna was great about keeping us updated and sending pictures of our pup, she also administered meds and looked after a wound which was super helpful! Appreciate all she did to take care of our girl.”

“Tanya did a great job with Merlin! She sent pictures every day (sometimes multiple in one day) and assured us that he was getting along with the other dogs in her care and doing well. I really appreciated that she allowed us to pick him up a little earlier than agreed on because of an impending snowstorm and that we were back earlier from vacation than we'd expected. We will be booking with her again in the future!”

“Rene is great and my dog King loves her. Apparently he sneaked out under a small rabbit hole - not her fault cuz King tends to dig and look for where he can escape. He returned without problem and I will always continue to use Rene as my doggy sitter. She takes great care of him!!”

“Brenda & Alvin M. were great. We have always boarded Remy in the past but she seems to get very stressed. She likes a lot of attention and cuddles. We appreciated the pictures and updates daily. Remy seemed very comfortable with them. We would definitely use them again.”

“Regan was incredible from start to finish. She is so caring, thorough, thoughtful, and everything you need/want for your pet and their care away from home. Archie spent 10 days with her and Luna. I received daily updates- daily pictures- which created complete ease for my husband and I. She was on top of it from my very first inquiry to the meet n greet to dropping off Archie. Thank you so much Regan. I’m so happy to have met you through Rover and I’m so happy that Archie got loved on by you and your household. Here’s to seeing you in the future!”

“Maureen was wonderful and took great care of my 5mo old puppy! She walked him, played with him and made him feel like home just like he was her dog. We will definitely ask her for care in the future!”

“Another great stay. Glenn got to see one of his dog friends too!! Boarding and day care with Yuliya has helped Glenn better interact and communicate with other dogs.”

“My dog, Tiger, was very well cared for during his stay at Heidy’s. She kept me informed about how he was adjusting and he enjoyed spending time in the big back yard. Her dogs are delightful too! I look forward to returning to Heidy’s in the future and also plan to utilize her grooming services.”

Pet parents share their Rover experiences - Albertville
Our dog had a great time with Trudy. She took time to ask questions about his preferences, and met his needs well. We received frequent updates, photos, and videos, letting us know that our pup was enjoying himself. He looked happy, relaxed, and well cared for. We look forward to working with Trudy again in the future.

Our family is so grateful for the care Cindy and her family gave Nala. Since we rarely leave Nala with sitters, we were initially nervous, but Cindy’s kindness put us at ease right away. After a successful meet-and-greet, Nala settled in perfectly with her dogs. Throughout the stay, Cindy was incredibly communicative, sending frequent photo updates regarding Nala’s eating and behavior. She was also very flexible and understanding when our return flight was delayed. Nala came home happy, healthy, and content. We will definitely be booking with Cindy again!

Amy and her boys were great with Rusty - our 2 yr old golden. They often played ball with him in the fenced yard and gave him lots of attention. Amy send pictures and gave us verbal feed back when we picked up Rusty. Apparently, he got along with their dog and cats and we liked hearing that he was well behaved. Rusty came home happy and tired - all good! I'm sure we will use Amy again.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in MN ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies. Cats may be required to have Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis and Rabies up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a board-certified veterinarian or offer other resources to help.
If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s reservation protection means our team will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
