“My dog had the best time staying with Amy when I went on vacation for a week. She took such good care of her and sent so many pics throughout the stay. It was my first time using Rover and I am glad I found Amy because I was assured from day 1 that my dog was in a safe and loving environment. Thank you so much Amy! I hope my upcoming vacation aligns with your available dates so I can bring Maala back again. :)”

“Kelsey has great communication and I got sooo many photo updates over the weekend. I could tell my pup was quite spoiled with love while he was there and appreciated having two other pups around. We already have a longer stay tentatively planned because we liked her so much. Thanks for loving Marshall like your own, Kelsey! 😊”

“Yuliya was fantastic and we look forward to having her watch our doggy in the future. She communicated well, was prepared, loves dogs and was very welcoming. We loved getting updates of our doggy and seeing photos she would send. She owns a clean home in a convenient location. We will be for sure be asking her for future dog sitting.”

“Our dog Sunny was well taken care of at Lori's home! Sunny received lots of love, walks, and cuddles during her time w/ Lori. Sunny will be returning to Lori's home for our next vacation. :)”

“My first time using Rover and best experience ever with Caitlin! It was my first time being without my pup for an extended period of time and I felt so at peace with her being with Caitlin. She sent updates and I loved to see our dogs playing so well together. :) it was like a little vacation for my girl! Caitlin also surprised us with the cutest little gift set for her! If you are in need of someone to watch your dog, I would highly recommend Caitlin! I will definitely be going back to her in the future. Thank you again!”

About: My love for animals goes well back to when I was 4 or 5 and I was in charge of letting our neighbors dog out while they were on vk. (my mom was really there ;)) I always loved the 2 cats we had I'm sure but my love started growing for all animals when I took on that letting the neighbors pets out. Through highschool I volunteered when I could at the animal shelter a couple cities over and dreamed about owning my own training and boarding facility when I graduated. Well life pushed me into college and a career and 10 plus years later here I am with a degree I don't want a career in.... I'm going back to my dreams and would love for your dogs to be a part of the start of it! I have 3 fur babies of my own a cat and two dogs! All three rescues and loving life! Any questions feel free to reach out! Cant wait to meet everyone! I currently work Monday through Friday 8 to 5 as an intake coordinator for a hospital from home. My love is animals so all my spare time goes to fostering and volunteering for ruffstart along with taking care of others furbabies. All pets deserve lots of love but discipline when needed. I believe in positive reinforcement but some pups need a little more guidance and a shorter leash than others.. I plan on following owners directions and requests but offer guidance if wanted or needed. If all you want me to do is let your fur babies out and spoil them rotten I would absolutely love doing that! For boarding and doggy daycare I have an older resident dog so we can only take laid back submissive dogs for now. We do habe the capability to separate if she needs a break. We have a big Shepard mix that loves to play with everyone at only 3 years old!
“Absolutely fantastic. Julie communicates throughout the whole experience and makes you feel at ease. Julie and her family went above and beyond to make sure the dogs were well taken care of. Everything was top notch. We have already booked Julie and her family again and feel so blessed to come across them (: thanks again Julie! HIGHLY RECOMMEND”
“We were very happy with Mochi's stay at Alicia and Simon's. They sent us pictures and videos and communicated with us the entire time we were gone. Mochi was so sad to leave their house and must have had fun because he has pretty much been sleeping since he got back!”

“Meg and her son took such good care of my girl Nova! I got frequent updates, with pictures, of all the adventures they had. I 100% will be going back to Meg! She is the best”

“Zoe enjoyed romping in the big backyard and enjoyed the added attention she received. I appreciated that Kyle was willing to take Zoe over the Thanksgiving Holiday. I would not hesitate to recommend Kyle.”

“My dog has stayed with Renee and James three times now, and each visit has been wonderful. She gets excited the moment we arrive, which gives me peace of mind knowing she feels comfortable and happy there. Renee and James send regular updates and photos, so I always know how she’s doing. I really appreciate the consistency and care every single stay. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend Renee and James to anyone looking for reliable, loving sitters.”

“Tanya and Scott take great care of Lucky. They are very respectful and quick to communicate. It is nice to be able to leave for the holidays and know that Lucky is having fun and getting super care.”

“It is the third time Amanda watches Pierce for us! She always send pictures of him, keep us posted on he is doing. Definitely recommend her for taking care of your dog! Thank you again Amanda!”

“Wesley was absolutely wonderful with my dog, Frankie. From the moment I dropped him off, it was evident that Frankie was treated like family and genuinely well cared for. Wesley and his parents have a beautiful home with a secure, fenced-in yard, which made us feel incredibly comfortable. We were able to travel out of the country with complete peace of mind knowing my dog was safe, happy, and truly prioritized. I couldn’t have asked for a better experience and would highly recommend Wesley to anyone looking for exceptional care. I received photos and updates. We look forward to planning our next adventure and rebooking with Wesley!”

“Megan and Brandon were very accommodating and responsive. My dog was able to run around their wonderful fenced in backyard and play with their two dogs. I had full confidence in their ability to take care of him.”

“I cannot say enough good things about Tracy. I was genuinely so nervous boarding my dogs for the first time, and from the very beginning she made me feel completely at ease. She was warm, patient, reassuring, and so communicative the entire time. What really stood out to me is how naturally comfortable my dogs were with her. You can tell she truly understands animals and cares about them like they’re her own. She sent updates and photos, answered my anxious first-time-boarder questions with so much kindness, and made the whole experience feel safe and personal. Finding someone you can actually trust with your dogs is huge, and Tracy is absolutely that person. I’m so grateful we found her and would recommend her in a heartbeat.”

“Archie was very comfortable with Maria during our meet up so I knew I had made the right choice in booking her for sitting services. Archie was happy and healthy, and very excited during pickup. After getting rid of his first day jitters, he was right at home. I know Archie really appreciated Maria’s large fenced in backyard and being in company of other dogs she was sitting for the week. Would definitely recommend Maria for future services!”

Pet parents share their Rover experiences - Big Lake
Amy was amazing with my puppies! We had to go on an extended vacation and Amy was available. We set up a meat and greet and found she was very experienced with taking care of animals and was a very good fit for our puppies. She also has a fenced-in yard. Throughout our vacation she kept in contact sending us pictures, videos and updates on the puppies. We were very confident that they were left in good hands. I would highly recommend Amy to anyone and hope to also use her services in the future.

Karlee did a good job with my 3 dogs. My small senior needs extra care and is needy due to his age and aches and pains. Karlee did a good job keeping me informed on what was going on with the dogs and sending pictures. I appreciate the care and extra work she did to watch my senior dog and othee two pups.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in MN ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies. Cats may be required to have Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis and Rabies up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a board-certified veterinarian or offer other resources to help.
If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s reservation protection means our team will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
