About: Dogs are just as much a part of our family as people! We love and treat them like they are one of us. I have cared for my own dogs as well as for friends and family for all my life. My husband and I have raised two litters of puppies since birth in our own home and loved and cherished 4 generations of golden retrievers for the last 15 years. After a recent loss to cancer that came much too soon for of one of our beloved dogs I’m happy to open my home to those in need of a place for their furry family members. We are a homeschool family of four dog-loving boys age 6 to 12. We are home during the day to give your dog the love and attention they deserve. Our kids have been taught since birth to love and respect dogs as if they were one of us. We have one male golden retriever/red setter mix who recently lost his mom/playmate to cancer and is longing to run and play with new furry friends. I strive to care for your dog as you do in your own home. I always hated leaving my pets for vacation fearing they wouldn’t have the same level of love and attention they were used to. Please reach out for any and all requests to make your pets stay as comfortable as possible! We do have a PetSafe wireless fence system and have an extra collar available only if requested.

“Jackie was terrific! She took great care of our pets over the holiday weekend. She had great communication, sent pictures, and was very responsive. Our cats and bunny were happy and healthy when we returned. Thank you, Jackie!”

About: I’ve been around animals all my life. I have three goldendoodles, Sullie who’s 10, Allie who’s 5, and Marlie who’s 2. I have helped potty train them all and have taught them basic tricks. I have also cared for friends/families pets when in need. I love all animals and enjoy making them feel safe and comfortable. Whether your pet needs walks, playtime, medications, or extra cuddles, I’m happy to help. I’m currently a full-time nursing student and have a summer nurse internship working 12 hour shifts, but I have multiple days off throughout the week that allow me to spend quality time caring for pets. My schedule varies, so I keep my availability updated. When I’m caring for your pet, they’ll get lots of attention, love, and dependable care! I always try to stick to each pet’s normal routine as closely as possible so they feel comfortable and stress free. In your home, I will provide feeding, fresh water, walks, playtime, litter box cleanup, potty breaks, and lots of attention and affection. I also make sure the home is left clean and secure. I’ll also keep owners updated with photos and messages so they know their pet is doing well!
About: I have 3 golden doodles the oldest being 10 and the youngest being 2. I have taken care of dogs since the age of 8. I have potty trained and also taught my dogs the basic skills and some tricks. I have cared for friends/family dogs and cats when they are away and need someone to watch them. I love all animals and will treat your pet like my own. I’m currently working part time, so I have time throughout the week but my schedule changes so I will keep things updated and only accept cares when I can give your pet the time they need. I always try and stick to the pets routine as much as possible so it is as stress free as possible for them. I have 3 dogs that would be able to give your pet some company if that is what you would like and if your dog is comfortable with other dogs.

About: Hi, I’m Salana! I’ve been pet and farm sitting for 10+ years and previously owned my own pet and farm sitting business. As a proud fur mom to two Dobermans, I’m very comfortable with high-energy dogs and pets of all personalities. I also have experience caring for all types of farm animals, along with most household pets. I’m trustworthy, responsible, and truly love caring for animals like they’re my own. I look forward to meeting you and your fur babies soon! I currently work part-time evenings, so I have plenty of time for walks and drop-in visits before and after work. I’m also available some weekends! I love getting outside, staying active, and meeting new furry friends along the way. I care for your pets like they’re my own — with lots of love, cuddles, attention, and exercise! As a Doberman mom, I’m comfortable with dogs of all sizes and energy levels and always make sure they feel safe, happy, and cared for.
About: I’ve been a dog owner since the age of 8. I love taking dogs on walks, pet sitting and especially taking my dog to the off the leash dog park where she is happiest. I’m very good with all types of dogs and very patient. My wife calls me the dog whisperer. My weeknights are free and weekends are free. My wife works the opposite schedule as me so she is available during the day. It works for both dog walking and pet sitting. I have a very sweet Alaskan Husky who loves going to the dog park and is very sweet and very good with all types of dogs. We have a fenced in backyard and a pet friendly home. We have three kids who love dogs and 1 dog of our own. We love caring for dogs and getting them (and me) plenty of exercise.
About: I’ve had various of animals my whole life. I’ve had animals of all scales, from cows & horses, to lizards & ferrets. As well as training various of dogs from all different breeds, I understand your “scary” dog, as well as your sweet little lap dog! Between my previous employment at a boarding facility and my current employment at the animal shelter, i’ve worked and handled many different personality’s and breeds of dogs and cats. Hey! I have a full time job at an animal boarding facility, but I typically only work 4 days a week and it’s usually morning shifts. I’m willing to get up a little earlier or stay up a little later to give your pet some attention. Shoot me a message and I can let you know my hours and we can see if I would be a good fit! I unfortunately can’t have fur babies come to my house, but i’m more than happy to come to you! I will keep your dogs on leash if you don’t have a fenced backyard, unless informed otherwise. I will also bring your pups on walks, I will keep them on leash, and use an extra leash if needed.
“Erin was amazing! She was super responsive, bonded immediately with our two cats, and also kept an eye on our home... even shoveling our driveway while we were away. Would definitely recommend!”

“Amanda was amazing! She came to meet us and our pups, asked questions to ensure she had information needed to care for our dogs and was very timely for all check ins. There was even some issues with our pups and she sought to arrange a solution that worked great!”

About: I have taken care of all kinds of dogs since high school. I have dog sat at many homes and have had dogs in my own home as well. I am currently working full-time but do work from home on Fridays. My partner works 0.3 miles from our home and comes home for lunch everyday. I am home from work around 5pm everyday. I have two fur babies that can keep your fur baby(ies) company while you are away. They are very friendly towards other dogs! We have a big back yard to play. We offer snuggles on the couch and in bed. Walks are necessary and the deck in the back is great for some sun!
About: I have grown up with pets all my life, and even went to Vet Tech school for 1 year. I had a diabetic cat so I am familiar with giving medicine and injections. I work full time from home during the day. I take breaks every hour or so. We are typically home in the evening and weekends to love and play with your animals as well as our own. I have a fenced in back yard and a playful dog to keep your fur baby company while you are away. My dog no longer needs to be kenneled when I am away or at night. I can accommodate whatever you are most comfortable with.
About: I’ve had dogs part of my life since I was young. I’ve rescued, fostered, house/dog sat for friends and family for years. They rescue us too. I work full-time from home, which gives me the flexibility to care for your pup(s) for a day or multiple days, whether they are large, medium, or small. My priority is ensuring your dog feels comfortable in their own home while maintaining their routine—feeding, walks, medications, and all the little things that keep them happy and healthy. When caring for your pets, their safety and well-being are my top priorities. I strive to create a trustworthy, secure environment where they feel comfortable and relaxed. I respect their space and routine, ensuring that they are always safe, whether it’s keeping hazards out of reach, maintaining a calm atmosphere, or sticking to familiar routines.
About: Hi! I’m Megan! I’ve grown up with two labs my entire life and now I have my own 3 year old yellow lab. My dogs growing up had several medical issues so I have had experience with medication and older dogs. I do work Monday - Friday so I prefer not to do overnights during the week if possible. I absolutely love dogs and would love to take care of yours! I take my dog for lots of walks, hikes, and playing fetch so I’m happy to do the same with yours! If the dog stays at my house, our dog is very friendly and loves to play with other dogs! I live in a house with my fiancé so we have lots of room for your dog!

About: Growing up, my parents frequently relied on me to take care of our rat terriers while they were at work - this includes feeding them, taking them out for potty breaks before/ after school, playing with them, etc. Because I’ve been around rat terriers I’m very familiarized with their personalities and high energy levels. I also have experience walking pitbulls and Great Pyrenees breeds, as my boyfriends parents used to own both breeds and I would walk them frequently (: - I also have experience with giving medications to dogs; one of my rat terriers has bad seasonal allergies and receives medication (a liquid) daily with his dinner. Another one of my rat terriers suffered from seizures and would have to receive medication with her food as well. I am comfortable caring for dogs of different sizes, temperaments, and needs. I understand the importance of maintaining consistent routines and ensuring pets feel safe and cared for. I’m currently working a full time job, however I don’t start work until 2:45pm everyday (off days are Fridays and Saturdays). When I work Sunday-Thursday I’m available to drop in at least one early morning, I can do another drop in in the early afternoon, and another drop in when I get off if needed (I get off at 11pm). On my days off - Friday and Saturdays - I can do numerous drop ins throughout the day. Anytime between early morning to late night. I have two cats of my own. Both are tabby cats, but they have very different personalities. Bean, who is an orange long haired cat, is very skittish, loves to play, enjoys pets but hates being picked up. While Franklin, is a grey short hair, loves cuddles, being next to his people, and would rather play with Bean than his humans. We got Franklin when he was 8 weeks old from my boyfriend’s brother and we fostered then adopted Bean when he was 12 weeks old (about 6 months after getting Franklin). We discovered Franklin loves going outside, so we bought him a cat harness and leash and frequently take him on walks (: Bean is too skittish for this, but he loves to play inside with toy mice and springs (ESPECIALLY springs, those are his favorite 😅)

Dog parents share their Rover experiences - Big Lake
Sandra was prompt and great at communicating with me. This was my first time having a guest in our new apartment building. We had some quirks with the code and getting in but Sandra stuck it out until she could get into the building. She went above and beyond. Sandra also sent me pictures of Lucky while she was there that she sent me. I will definitely use her again and will have the quirks with the code figured out for her the next time.

My first booking with Amy and it was wonderful. She was a great communicating with me as I had quite a few instructions for her in taking care of my puppy. She was so good with him and he seemed very happy when I got home. I will hire Amy again, no question! I highly recommend her!

Amanda was amazing! She came to meet us and our pups, asked questions to ensure she had information needed to care for our dogs and was very timely for all check ins. There was even some issues with our pups and she sought to arrange a solution that worked great!

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
While Rover doesn’t offer traditional subscription services, some sitters offer recurring bookings for services like home visits and dog walking. Recurring services come with their own perks, such as flexibility to modify services (up to five weeks in advance), automatic billing, Rover Card updates, and same-day cancellations.
