About: I have grown up around animals and have always adored how wonderful companions they are. I grew up taking care of family members dogs when they went on vacations, which gave me early experience with feeding, walking, and general care. I also have some experience with cats from having one when I was younger and helping care for a few friends and family members cats over the years. I am comfortable helping with basic cat care such as feeding, litter box cleaning, and spending time with them. I have my own dog, Hadley, an 8 year old golden retriever. About: I’ve grown up around animals my whole life and have always had a deep love for them. When I was little, I had a Rhodesian Ridgeback named Bravo and a Tortoiseshell cat named Jayden who were a huge part of my childhood. Bravo was very protective of me when I was a baby and young girl, and Jayden was my playful little companion… we would spend hours playing together and just being in our own world. I currently have an English Springer Spaniel that I’ve had for 7 years, and caring for him has given me a lot of hands-on experience and responsibility. About: Growing up, my parents frequently relied on me to take care of our rat terriers while they were at work - this includes feeding them, taking them out for potty breaks before/ after school, playing with them, etc. Because I’ve been around rat terriers I’m very familiarized with their personalities and high energy levels. I also have experience walking pitbulls and Great Pyrenees breeds, as my boyfriends parents used to own both breeds and I would walk them frequently (: - I also have experience with giving medications to dogs; one of my rat terriers has bad seasonal allergies and receives medication (a liquid) daily with his dinner. Another one of my rat terriers suffered from seizures and would have to receive medication with her food as well. I am comfortable caring for dogs of different sizes, temperaments, and needs. When I work Sunday-Thursday I’m available to drop in at least one early morning, I can do another drop in in the early afternoon, and another drop in when I get off if needed (I get off at 11pm). Both are tabby cats, but they have very different personalities. Bean, who is an orange long haired cat, is very skittish, loves to play, enjoys pets but hates being picked up. While Franklin, is a grey short hair, loves cuddles, being next to his people, and would rather play with Bean than his humans. We got Franklin when he was 8 weeks old from my boyfriend’s brother and we fostered then adopted Bean when he was 12 weeks old (about 6 months after getting Franklin). We discovered Franklin loves going outside, so we bought him a cat harness and leash and frequently take him on walks (: Bean is too skittish for this, but he loves to play inside with toy mice and springs (ESPECIALLY springs, those are his favorite 😅)
