Availability
Now retired from a long career in IT, I have plenty of free time and a lot of love to share. My favorite outings are peaceful hikes on less-traveled trails, usually around 1.5 to 2 miles. But I’d be just as happy to stroll through your neighborhood—it’s totally up to you and your pup!

I live on a semi-secluded, 2+ acre property, while the land is unfenced, I have a large enclosed deck where my animals love to sunbathe and relax. It’s peaceful, quiet, and full of nature.
Information Sandra W. would like to know about your pet
Things I’d Love to Know About Your Pup: To make sure your dog has the best stay possible, I’d appreciate knowing a few things ahead of time: Does your dog have any special needs or routines I should be aware of? Are they friendly with other dogs, or do they prefer their own space? How do they typically react to other dogs or people during walks? If your pup will be staying in my home, are they good with cats? And lastly, is your dog current on their vaccines?
A typical day
There are so many parks near my home that we can explore. On colder winter days we can still walk. However stay very close to home, or play fetch inside. I also love watching them play with interactive treat mats.

Pet care experience
I’ve had a passion for animals my entire life, from playful puppies to wise seniors. My journey with dogs took a meaningful turn when I volunteered for the Boxer Rescue in Minnesota, I love this breed! So much so that I became a "foster failure"! Sadly, I lost my beloved girl recently at the age of 11.5, and her absence has left a huge void in my daily life, especially during our cherished dog walks. Currently, I share my home with two senior cats and some feisty chickens, which keeps my spirit lively and my heart full. Every day is an adventure, and I wouldn't have it any other way!

Reviews

Sandra was prompt and great at communicating with me. This was my first time having a guest in our new apartment building. We had some quirks with the code and getting in but Sandra stuck it out until she could get into the building. She went above and beyond. Sandra also sent me pictures of Lucky while she was there that she sent me. I will definitely use her again and will have the quirks with the code figured out for her the next time.

Fantastic sitter!!!! We did not worry once while we were away and Sandra treated our furbabies like they were her own!!!
Our dogs are nuts. They’re not mean, but they’re hyper and haven’t had much in the way of training. Like at all. Just two big, dumb hair balls that love everybody so much they can’t handle it. Sandy treats them like they were her own, even when they’re being extra, and that’s amazing in and of itself. Sandy is great, we love Sandy!

Sandra is wonderful! Great communicator and thoughtful. Definitely goes above and beyond. Would not hesitate to hire her again and again just like we have.
