I have taken care of dogs since I was 10 and raised a puppy who lived to 15 years which then included taking care of a senior dog who was deaf and wore a doggie diaper at night or when visiting other's homes. I am good with all kinds of animals and am sensitive to their needs and respectful of each of their unique personalities. I am very intuitive and have worked well with children with special needs at our local school for many years as well as most recently had provided in-home care and hospice for my mom who became nonverbal for several years. I have patience and skill at caregiving for people and animals and have a teaching degree in early child care and development. Providing care for others has been my life's work. Animals are my favorite, so I am super excited to put my focus on caring for them now on a flexible basis!

As usual, my dog Rocky was in amazing hands with Lori! I feel so lucky to have found someone so caring to watch him while we are out of town!
Lori was such a kind and caring sitter. She was very attentive and sent many photos throughout the week. It helped to know that my puppy was getting good care while we were away on vacation.
I am so grateful to have found Lori. She has made our experience in finding care for our dog so exceptional. Our dog gets anxious being alone as well as in going to the groomer or the vet, so I was a bit nervous myself in finding someone to care for him during times he could not come with us. Lori is so welcoming and tailors her care to our dog’s needs. She ensures he gets adequate walks and play time as well as allowing him to just “be”. She also provides plenty of updates throughout the stay to assure us that he is doing well. Our dog loves the outdoor time in her spacious (fenced) back yard for sure! Thank you Lori for helping to ease any concerns we have had in leaving our little buddy, whether for a week or a day!
It was our first time leaving Rocky overnight, for a long period of time since adopting him. I was of course nervous, but knew he'd be in good hands with Lori. I was right, she spoiled him so much and ensured I was kept aware of his daily activities and adventures. I'll definitely continue to leverage her as his second mom when needed! :) <3
I had Lori dogsit my old senior pup Maggie a few years ago, and when we adopted Rocky, I knew she'd be the first person on Rover I'd reach out to for more dog sitting needs. He got so much love and attention in her care!!
Lori cared for our dogs like they were her own. She met their individual needs and pampered both of them. We had a cancelled flight and had to extend our trip by a day and Lori was so understanding. The pictures and updates Lori sent showed our dogs were having as much fun as we were on our vacation! I will definitely book with Lori again.

Schedule
I am available 24/7 to help you! I no longer work outside the home and miss my 15-year-old dog who passed a year ago. I am looking forward to spending time with dogs (or cats) again now and helping clients with their pets.

Safety, trust & environment
We are used to having a dog in our home and adjusting to their needs. I have time to give lots of TLC. We have a park across from our house that is great for taking walks, and I used to take our dog biking in a bike trailer if that is something your dog would enjoy. I also brought my dog for car rides, and we would explore other parks together. My dog didn't really like walking very much, so I am used to carrying dogs on walks as well if it makes them happier (and they are small enough.) There were times our senior dog needed to go outside at night, so I am used to waking up in the middle of the night as well if that is needed. I enjoy being home and was a stay-at-home mom, so being a pet sitter fits in great with my lifestyle. Also, I love photography and will take photos of their day to assure you things are going well and they are having a good time. :)

We will spend time outside walking and exploring , listen to doggy relaxation music, lots of mental stimulation, including me talking to them, and any other activity they enjoy.
