“This was the best boarding experience we have ever had! We have two large dogs- one is a nervous guy-and Luciana and Carlos had our dogs feeling at home instantly. Truly amazing couple. On top of that, they have the largest safest yard you can imagine. Privacy fence so high and greenery even higher. Our dogs had their own vacation while we were in Surfside. And honestly, they may have had a better time! The yard is a total oasis. So thankful we found them!”

“Debbie and her family are awesome!! I had a sitter to cancel on me in the last min before labor day wknd. Debbie agreed to keep Rocxi for me for 4 days in last min. They are wonderful people. They are super friendly, warm and down to earth. She really put me at ease. I didnt worry about a thing while we were out of town!! She is our new go-to sitter!!!!”

“Laura was wonderful!!! We got pictures each day and every one of them showed our Stella looking happy and feeling at home. It’s a strange feeling to leave your dog with someone you’ve never met but Laura put us at ease and made our trip to the area perfect. We would highly recommend her!”

“We loved Donna! Communication was great and I loved receiving photos and videos each day of my dog and what they did. Would definitely recommend her and use her again! I know my dog had a great time in her care ☺️”

“Nicole was so kind and attentive to our Sophie. She kept us in the loop on how Sophie was doing, with pictures and messages. This was the first time we have tried an online kennel scheduling, and Nicole gave us stellar service. We will be using her again soon! Thank you Nicole for taking care of our girl.”

“Mari and her family were so great with our fur baby Keanu. They welcomed him with open arms. The vibe is so laid back at her home, it’s obvious that Mari enjoys caring for pets for all the right reasons. Thank you so much for loving on Keanu while in your care. Looking forward to future bookings. G. B. 😊”

About: I’ve been an animal lover for as long as I can remember! Growing up, I was surrounded by all kinds of pets—from dogs and cats to hamsters and rats—and I’ve always loved caring for animals. I’ve also had the opportunity to foster kittens and gain hands-on experience with a variety of pets. My mom was a veterinary technician for 30 years, so I grew up learning a lot about animal care, behavior, and what it means to keep pets happy and healthy. At 18, I started my own pet-sitting business back home in Connecticut. When I moved out of state, I left the business behind, but I’ve always wanted to get back into pet sitting—and now feels like the perfect time! I currently have two cats and two ball pythons of my own. My schedule is also very flexible right now, which means I’m able to give your pets plenty of time, attention, and care. My time spent with your pets will involve lots of love and cuddles, walks and playtime, as well as treats as appropriate. I also have experience with administering medications to pets, so if this is something you need assistance with just let me know! I know how much our pets mean to us, and I’ll treat yours like they’re part of my own family. I’d love the opportunity to meet you and your furry (or scaly!) family members! 🐾 I'm currently in between jobs and looking for something part-time so I have plenty of time to care for your babies, whether that be drop-ins or boarding. If needed, I have a dog crate at home for the safety of your pet while I am not at home. I have a 3 bedroom home in a peaceful community in Conway.
“Karla and her family took amazing care of Lucy for the week. She was extremely accommodating and on such short notice since our first sitter fell through. She was extremely flexible even when she had a lot going that week she still made sure Lucy was comfortable and got lots of attention. She kept good communication with me all week and sent so many pictures which was great and super comforting for us to see that Lucy was having the best time. Thank you so much!!”

“We are always anxious about leaving our dogs when we go away. But we had nothing to worry about. Mary did a great job with them. Each day the photos showed the dogs more comfortable looking though they were too small for the fence restraint, she took them for walks often. I will definitely leave them with Mary again. Her kindness shined through.”

“Lauren was welcoming and friendly to our dog and us. She was ready for him to get to know her dogs. Our boy, Ben, was tuckered out from all the fun and playtime he had. Lauren followed my request for his daily pill and feeding schedule; I will use Lauren again if the situation arises. She was very understanding with our flight home to Myrtle being delayed due to weather.”

“Jenny was awesome. She responded my request promptly. When we got her house I loved the way she talked to mi doggy, making her feel comfortable. I highly recommend Jenny!”

“Luke and Kexin were wonderful taking care of our 4 month old puppy Glitzy for a weekend! We would not only use them again but also highly recommend them to take care of your fur baby! The pictures they sent gave us peace of mind and the video was a great surprise! They were able to pick Glitzy up and bring her home after her stay which for us was a super plus!”

“Elvera is wonderful with my Champ. He has so much love for her family and really enjoys his time with her family. She sends update pictures and they are always on the go which Champ adores so much. As long as Elvera has openings this will always be his 2nd home. Thank you so much for loving and caring for my Champ.”

“Holly was wonderful! We had a nice meet and greet prior to our reservation that made us and our dog more comfortable for her upcoming stay. Holly's yard and home was well segregated to easily accommodate a few dogs for proper introductions and ready them for spending time together. Tallulah looked relaxed and having fun in all the pictures Holly sent us. I would highly recommend her.”

“Jenna is amazing. She really loves what she does and took really great care of my buster. She has a nice back yard and friendly dogs that kept him company the whole time. She sent me plenty of pictures and buster looked happy in every single one. I am very pleased with her professionalism and her expert ability with dogs. She even had an extra kennel big enough for him. And buster is a German Shepher. Thanks jenna!”

“Carina was great! She sent me picture updates without me asking, and took great care of my dog. She worked with me to pick my dog up a little earlier than scheduled without any issue. Would definitely use her again!”

Pet parents share their Rover experiences - Carolina Forest
Left my dog, Madison, with Blakeley and her family while I stayed at a local hotel. Madison had a way better time in their beautiful home with other pets and a fenced-in yard. I very much appreciated her treating my pet like a family member. It was a win-win day for me and Maddie.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in SC ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies. Cats may be required to have Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis and Rabies up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a board-certified veterinarian or offer other resources to help.
If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s reservation protection means our team will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
