About: I have significant experience with pet dogs and day to day care. I incorporate structured walks, appropriate enrichment, and clear boundaries to create a safe and balanced environment. I was responsible for daily kennel operations, including cleaning and sanitizing kennels, managing play yards, and maintaining overall structure and safety. I am trained in basic canine first aid, including CPR, wound care, bandaging, and medication administration. I am also experienced in safely breaking up dog altercations and handling high-drive and working breeds with confidence and control. I provide trainer led care, backed by formal education and hands on experience in the canine training field. I completed an intensive six month professional dog trainer program at Highland Canine Training, where I entered the industry through real world, practical application working with a wide variety of dogs. During the program, I trained and handled police K9s in apprehension work, narcotics detection, and search and rescue (SAR) trailing. I also gained experience working with service dogs for autism assistance and assurance. My education included extensive work with dogs experiencing behavioral challenges, along with foundational through advanced obedience training. I have experience managing reactive dogs and confidently advocating for their space and needs. I’m highly proficient in reading canine body language and adjusting my approach to best support each individual dog. Training is my full-time job. I also offer boarding, pet sitting, and walks as part of my services. My schedule is built around my training clients, and I only take on pet care bookings I can fully commit to. Fully fenced yard with two of my own friendly dogs to help provide safe companionship. If your dog is not dog friendly, no worries, my dogs will not interact. A separate kennel area is available for rest breaks and feedings. Daily health checks and thorough daily cleaning practices are implemented to ensure a safe and clean environment.
“Words can’t even really describe how awesome Karla and her son are. She made sure my dog was super comfortable and not alone due to his high anxiety. She sent photos to keep me updated on their daily activities. 10/10 I would recommend her to everyone!”

“Mary was a wonderful pet sitter for our new cat while we went away for a few days. As soon a I dropped our cat off I could tell that Mary was an animal lover and she would be in great hands while we were away. Not only did Mary give our baby meds while she was recovering from being spayed, but she kept us updated with sweet pics of our girl that relieved our anxiety while we were traveling. We cannot thank Mary enough for the amazing care she provided to our girl Shadow and highly recommend her to anyone looking for amazing pet care!”

“Carina was great! She sent me picture updates without me asking, and took great care of my dog. She worked with me to pick my dog up a little earlier than scheduled without any issue. Would definitely use her again!”

“Laura did such an amazing job with Cooper and Max. They were well cared for. They seemed really happy and our fuzzy seem to get along with their fuzzies and really comfortable property and yard. And they managed medications for our dogs and they were so happy when we came to pick him up. It almost seemed like they didn't want to leave. We couldn't ask for better!”

“Debby, or “Aunt Debby” as Knox calls her 😊 provided the best care that I could ask for. I was able to relax on my vacation with peace of mind that my best friend was at home with her. Debby sent informative updates and photos so being away from him was easier. I think he’ll sleep like a baby for a week since she exercised him routinely. He’s a black Lab and it’s hot here in Myrtle Beach, but I didn’t worry since Debby’s level of emergency medical knowledge is far beyond that of any kennel. I will definitely book Camp Debby next time I need to travel without him. Thank you!!!!”

I’m currently working part time at smoothie king, I should be able to fit pet care right into my schedule with no issues!!! Going into summer I will have even more free time. I would prefer watching the animals at my clients home, however I have 2 friendly dogs, and a friendly cat! We have a big (fenced) backyard with lots of room for playing.
“Michelle was awesome with my dog Cash. I booked her very last minute for dog boarding over Thanksgiving and she was very quickly to answer and let me know that she could watch him. Michelle would send me pictures and videos everyday and keep me updated with what Cash was up to and how he was behaving. I would definitely hire her again to watch my dog.”

“Sarah was so kind to help us in a last minute request so we could all attend our son’s graduation! Many, many thanks and our goldens were just as happy when we picked them up as they were when we dropped them off!”

“Luke and Kexin and their dog Stanley were great companions for my 100lb husky Padawan. Padawan stayed with them for a whole month and obviously bonded with them. They are now going to be our go to choice for any future boarding requests.”

Pet parents share their Rover experiences - Carolina Forest
Left my dog, Madison, with Blakeley and her family while I stayed at a local hotel. Madison had a way better time in their beautiful home with other pets and a fenced-in yard. I very much appreciated her treating my pet like a family member. It was a win-win day for me and Maddie.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in SC ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies. Cats may be required to have Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis and Rabies up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a board-certified veterinarian or offer other resources to help.
If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s reservation protection means our team will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
