“Nicole was so kind and attentive to our Sophie. She kept us in the loop on how Sophie was doing, with pictures and messages. This was the first time we have tried an online kennel scheduling, and Nicole gave us stellar service. We will be using her again soon! Thank you Nicole for taking care of our girl.”

“Leaving our beloved Romeo in Laura’s capable hands made my trip worry free. She is kind, smart and experienced with dogs. Her calm demeanor put our boy at ease right away. She was not fussy at all and I feel that her home was just another extension of my home when it came to what he was used to and what to expect. Romeo is super active and can be challenging at times as he demands attention. Laura handled him with humor and kindness. I highly recommend her!”

About: I have been a dog lover my whole life with big dogs so I know how to handle all shapes and sizes! I’d love to pet sit your dogs. I work in the morning a minute away from my house with breaks, I will be around for anything your dog needs and provide lots of care. I have a big house with lots of space to watch any animal, I will give them plenty of exercise and no other pets in the house.

“I had to leave a review for Elvera. She was very professional and I can tell my Champ really enjoyed his time with her and her kids. I was gone for 10 days and as soon as I met her and her daughter I knew my dog was in safe hands. I did not get a chance to meet her son but I am sure Champ was all over him. I will definitely use her in the future.”

“Mary was excellent. Accepted Kali on a short notice. She was very welcoming and kind. Treated Kali like her own and took her for car rides and let her sit co-pilot. Kali was well taken care of. Would definitely use her again!”

“Holly was wonderful! We had a nice meet and greet prior to our reservation that made us and our dog more comfortable for her upcoming stay. Holly's yard and home was well segregated to easily accommodate a few dogs for proper introductions and ready them for spending time together. Tallulah looked relaxed and having fun in all the pictures Holly sent us. I would highly recommend her.”

“My dogs seemed to be on their own vacation with Oceana- she took them for walks on the beach & to the marsh. I got daily photo updates & texts about their daily activities. I will be using her services when I go out of town in the future!”

“I would definitely use Meredith again! Ellie was well cared for and very content in her home away while we were vacationing in Myrtle Beach for a week. Meredith has a very clean condo with plenty of safe walking paths within the complex including a dog park to also enjoy.”

“Lauren was incredible with our puppy! She kept us updated and I’m sure would have sent more photos if we asked. We were able to enjoy our time away knowing that Ginger was also having a good time! We would not hesitate to use Lauren again!”

“Karla and her son, Amir, were great! My boyfriend and I were visiting Myrtle Beach for the weekend and our sitter fell through. She happily accepted watching my Rupert with very little notice (3 hours!) and was flexible with the drop off/pick up times. Karla sent alot of pictures to keep us posted, especially since this was the first time our fur baby stayed with someone else. It was also Rupert's first time at the beach and we mentioned he may have a sunburn on his nose. Karla even put aloe on it to help sooth his pain! I would definitely let Rupert stay with her again!”

About: I provide personalized, reliable care tailored to each pet’s needs. I have experience with puppies, including basic training and crate routines, as well as gentle, attentive care for senior pets. I treat every animal like my own, with patience, love, and a focus on their comfort and routine. I pet sit often and love incorporating it into my weekly routine. While I do have an 8–5 job, I make sure pets are cared for before and after work with walks, playtime, and plenty of attention. I’m also available for weekend care and overnight stays. When caring for pets in my client’s home, I follow their usual routine as closely as possible to keep them comfortable and stress-free. I make sure they’re fed on schedule, get walks, playtime, and any needed medications. I also keep the home tidy, send regular updates, and give each pet lots of love and attention while you're away.

“Duke and Peaches loved staying with Samantha over the holidays. She sent me pictures daily of how they were doing which relieved my anxiety of leaving them behind for a few days. I would definitely recommend Samantha for your pet vacation stay.”

“This was our first time using Rover. Katelyn and Lauren arw amazing. We received videos and pics of our 2 pups almost daily. You could see how happy they were and worn out lol. They took amazing care of both dogs and made sure all meds and ointments were done and they are amazing. I cant recommend them enough!”

“We are always anxious about leaving our dogs when we go away. But we had nothing to worry about. Mary did a great job with them. Each day the photos showed the dogs more comfortable looking though they were too small for the fence restraint, she took them for walks often. I will definitely leave them with Mary again. Her kindness shined through.”

“I'm so glad I reached out to Jeffrey to board my 9 year old black cat for the week. I was very concerned to "relocating" her to his home for the week during Christmas. Knowing he had no other animals in the house and kids at home during the holidays to keep her company is what made me decide to go this route. It was worth it. Although it took my Pepper time to adjust to the relocation, it turned out to be less stressful to keep her there, than leaving her home alone. (If I leave her alone for a week, she is howling in distress for days after I return) This is the 1st time in years where Pepper was actually calm after my return home. I hope Jeffrey and his family will consider taking her again for my next trip.”

“Lorie was great with the dogs she sent pictures and they enjoyed there stay. It was the first time with Lorie and working with Rover and we would do it again. Great experience Lorie you are the best. See you in April”

“Caroline was amazing and took great care of our lil guy. She went above & beyond when we encountered a challenge and made sure he had what he needed, to include taking time out of her day to take him to the vet. We could not have been more confident of the care he received while with Caroline who was communicative, flexible and knowledgeable about animals. Thank you so much Caroline!”

Pet parents share their Rover experiences - Carolina Forest
This was our dog's second stay, and once again we had a wonderful experience. Our dog was happy, healthy, and well cared for when we picked her up. We really appreciated the updates and photos throughout her stay, which gave us peace of mind. They are such a kind, caring family, and we wouldn't hesitate to book with them again. Highly recommend!

Jorie did a phenomenal job caring for Tux and Toby! She cared for our pets as though they were her own. She was very considerate and patient with our pets' different needs and behaviors. Both Tux and Toby especially enjoyed their indoor and outdoor play time and space. Toby and Bailey became fast friends enjoying their playtime together. Tux loved his one-on-one playtime of fetch and retrieve. We felt very comfortable with and confident in Jorie's expertise in warm and tender care. We will definitely be booking again with Jorie and also highly recommend her pet boarding service. Thank you Jorie for taking such great care of Tux and Toby! They look forward to their next stay!

Left my dog, Madison, with Blakeley and her family while I stayed at a local hotel. Madison had a way better time in their beautiful home with other pets and a fenced-in yard. I very much appreciated her treating my pet like a family member. It was a win-win day for me and Maddie.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in SC ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies. Cats may be required to have Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis and Rabies up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a board-certified veterinarian or offer other resources to help.
If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s reservation protection means our team will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
