“This is our 3rd time using Karla - the first time was just for daycare, the 2nd and 3rd time were for 4 overnight stays. Karla is very caring and communicative — she sends videos through the day to keep us informed and reassured that our dog is doing well. We will certainly use Karla again as the need arises.”

“Duke and Peaches loved staying with Samantha over the holidays. She sent me pictures daily of how they were doing which relieved my anxiety of leaving them behind for a few days. I would definitely recommend Samantha for your pet vacation stay.”

About: Hello there! My name is Lesley, and I am an experienced and trustworthy pet sitter with over 8 years of experience in the field. I have dedicated myself to providing exceptional care for pets while their owners are away, ensuring their safety, happiness, and well-being in the comforts of their own homes During my extensive years as a pet sitter, I have cared for a wide range of animals, including dogs, cats, birds, fish, reptiles, and small mammals. From puppies and kittens needing extra attention to senior pets requiring specialized care, I am comfortable and knowledgeable in handling all stages of life I understand that leaving your furry family member behind can be stressful, but rest assured, I treat each pet as if they were my own. Not only do I prioritize their physical needs such as feeding, exercising, and administering medications (if necessary), but I also strive to create a fun and loving environment. Regular playtime, belly rubs, and walks are just some of the activities I offer to keep them happy, active, and engaged In addition to pet care, I am also experienced in house sitting. I take great pride in maintaining a clean and organized home environment, providing security and peace of mind to homeowners. *I do currently work part time to full time (never more than 38 hours). “Debbie and her family are awesome!! I had a sitter to cancel on me in the last min before labor day wknd. Debbie agreed to keep Rocxi for me for 4 days in last min. They are wonderful people. They are super friendly, warm and down to earth. She really put me at ease. I didnt worry about a thing while we were out of town!! She is our new go-to sitter!!!!”

“Our dog Luna is small and somewhat skittish both with new people and dogs. It’s the first time staying with someone she doesn’t know. Laura was great. She sent updates and pictures while Luna was in her care; we could see our little fur ball was more relaxed and happy. Would definitely book with Laura again.”

“Very kind and took very good care of my puppy communication was very easy and they were very understanding of traffic and time delays for drop off and pick up will 100% be booking with them again”

“The absolute best! From the moment we met her, I felt completely comfortable leaving Billie in her care. She is incredibly personable, caring, and attentive. Billie came home happy, exhausted from all the fun, and clearly showered with love and attention. She also had a great time playing with her adorable pup! We couldn’t be happier with the experience and can’t wait to book again. Highly recommend!”

“Christina did it again! My Bella gets the best care when I’m out of town. I get frequent updates and pics. I don’t have to worry about whether or not she’s being taken care of. Thank you Christina, for taking such good care of my baby!”

“Carina was great! She sent me picture updates without me asking, and took great care of my dog. She worked with me to pick my dog up a little earlier than scheduled without any issue. Would definitely use her again!”

“Jenny is the best she came through last minute when our travel plans changed unexpectedly and was like Mary Poppins to my very large, very spoiled kids .... She did wonderful with my Old sometimes grumpy Husky (she even got my Gracie to behave at the dog park which is no small feat) and had no problems sharing her personal space cuddling with Snot. We got updates and I felt that my babies were in good hands... We will definitely use Jenny again and would recommend her for Large dog and Husky parents!!!”
“Holly was wonderful! We had a nice meet and greet prior to our reservation that made us and our dog more comfortable for her upcoming stay. Holly's yard and home was well segregated to easily accommodate a few dogs for proper introductions and ready them for spending time together. Tallulah looked relaxed and having fun in all the pictures Holly sent us. I would highly recommend her.”

“Jorie is wonderful! We have used her services multiple times and couldn’t be happier! You can really tell she loves dogs. She is excellent at providing text and picture updates to give you peace of mind while you are away on a trip. Finley had a great time visiting and playing with her pup Bailey. This last time he was so excited to visit he was pulling on the leash to get inside Jorie’s house. I think that shows you that Finley loves it there. (I can tell you that he sure doesn’t do that when we go to the groomer… lol). I Definitely recommend Jorie to care for your furry family member.”

“My dog Penny stayed with Laura for almost two weeks. I have used Laura before and felt very comfortable that Penny would be well cared for during this extra long stay. And she was! Laura sent me cute pictures of Penny enjoying her time, which always brings a smile to my face. Definitely recommend Laura and I will be using her again in the future.”

“Gilbert was amazing watching my pup Scooby. He kept me updated with pictures and took him to the park multiple times a day to give him exercise. He made everything feel so easy and look forward having him watch Scooby again. And also big thanks to Milo!”

“Liz is a wonderful dog sitter, she was so warm and welcoming to Maizy. This was Maizys first time away from home and I was worried but Liz took all my worries away with her warmth and caring. Maizy felt right at home and it is such a beautiful home that I think she wanted to stay longer. Highly recommend Liz for all your dog sitting needs!”

“Khirah was so great I would 100% recommend to anyone that needs to leave their pet with someone while they are away. Sends pictures and video updates every day and is very friendly and treats your dog like her own.”

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in SC ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies. Cats may be required to have Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis and Rabies up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a board-certified veterinarian or offer other resources to help.
If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s reservation protection means our team will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
