“Christina did it again! My Bella gets the best care when I’m out of town. I get frequent updates and pics. I don’t have to worry about whether or not she’s being taken care of. Thank you Christina, for taking such good care of my baby!”

“We are always anxious about leaving our dogs when we go away. But we had nothing to worry about. Mary did a great job with them. Each day the photos showed the dogs more comfortable looking though they were too small for the fence restraint, she took them for walks often. I will definitely leave them with Mary again. Her kindness shined through.”

“This was our first time using Rover. Katelyn and Lauren arw amazing. We received videos and pics of our 2 pups almost daily. You could see how happy they were and worn out lol. They took amazing care of both dogs and made sure all meds and ointments were done and they are amazing. I cant recommend them enough!”

“Karla and her son, Amir, were great! My boyfriend and I were visiting Myrtle Beach for the weekend and our sitter fell through. She happily accepted watching my Rupert with very little notice (3 hours!) and was flexible with the drop off/pick up times. Karla sent alot of pictures to keep us posted, especially since this was the first time our fur baby stayed with someone else. It was also Rupert's first time at the beach and we mentioned he may have a sunburn on his nose. Karla even put aloe on it to help sooth his pain! I would definitely let Rupert stay with her again!”

“Holly was wonderful! We had a nice meet and greet prior to our reservation that made us and our dog more comfortable for her upcoming stay. Holly's yard and home was well segregated to easily accommodate a few dogs for proper introductions and ready them for spending time together. Tallulah looked relaxed and having fun in all the pictures Holly sent us. I would highly recommend her.”

“Loki got the best care with Jeff and his family. We had never left our dog with anyone other than family before and were a little nervous. We were rest assured that she was in good hands and getting extra love and attention. Jeff kept us updated each day with how she was doing with photos. Loki came home content and we would definitely send here there again!”

“All I can say is she was amazing with my pups and very accommodating :) my family and I went camping down in myrtle beach and realized it was best to look for an overnight sitter for my pups :) I havd messaged Khriah and she was quick to reapinds to my request and was happy to take my pups for me for the night”

“I would definitely use Meredith again! Ellie was well cared for and very content in her home away while we were vacationing in Myrtle Beach for a week. Meredith has a very clean condo with plenty of safe walking paths within the complex including a dog park to also enjoy.”

“Caitlyn, well, my pup calls her aunt caitlyn has been amazing! Very patient with my little guy and in one visit, he didnt want to come home. Caitlyn responds immediately and her own dogs love the company!! We give her an above average rating.”

“Gil was absolutely amazing at taking care of my fur baby! He was very responsive and sent lots of photos of my dog having so much fun! His own dog Milo ended up being such a great doggie friend to my Tucker and they played together for the entirety of Tuckers stay. Gil definitely has the perfect demeanor, patience, & experience to watch any dog!”

“Laura’s love and understanding of dogs made it easy for me to relax during my trip. She sent pictures and kept communication open for me to get updates. I will definitely contact Laura when we go away again. Thank you for taking good care of my little man!”

“So grateful to Luciana and CV! They were able to watch our sweet pups very last minute and he had the best time enjoying their back yard. I got daily updates on Marshmallow and they always responded anytime I sent them a question. Highly recommend as we will ask them to watch Marshmallow again next time we visit Myrtle Beach area.”

“Debby, or “Aunt Debby” as Knox calls her 😊 provided the best care that I could ask for. I was able to relax on my vacation with peace of mind that my best friend was at home with her. Debby sent informative updates and photos so being away from him was easier. I think he’ll sleep like a baby for a week since she exercised him routinely. He’s a black Lab and it’s hot here in Myrtle Beach, but I didn’t worry since Debby’s level of emergency medical knowledge is far beyond that of any kennel. I will definitely book Camp Debby next time I need to travel without him. Thank you!!!!”

“Lauren was incredible with our puppy! She kept us updated and I’m sure would have sent more photos if we asked. We were able to enjoy our time away knowing that Ginger was also having a good time! We would not hesitate to use Lauren again!”

This was our dog's second stay, and once again we had a wonderful experience. Our dog was happy, healthy, and well cared for when we picked her up. We really appreciated the updates and photos throughout her stay, which gave us peace of mind. They are such a kind, caring family, and we wouldn't hesitate to book with them again. Highly recommend!

Superior service from Susan and David. Very punctual and took great care of Beau and Bella. 10 stars! I'll definitely call on Susan when I have to be away again. Absolutely the best service & no regrets. I'm so glad my dogs got to stay in their own home with great care!

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in SC ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies. Cats may be required to have Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis and Rabies up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a board-certified veterinarian or offer other resources to help.
If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s reservation protection means our team will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
