They are super friendly, warm and down to earth. She really put me at ease. I didnt worry about a thing while we were out of town!! She is our new go-to sitter!!!!”

“This is the second time Laura has watched Belle and we were not disappointed. Laura is very friendly and we could tell that Belle was well taken care of. Laura kept us informed with pictures and is quick to respond when we communicated with her.”

“This is our 3rd time using Karla - the first time was just for daycare, the 2nd and 3rd time were for 4 overnight stays. Karla is very caring and communicative — she sends videos through the day to keep us informed and reassured that our dog is doing well. We will certainly use Karla again as the need arises.”

About: Hello there! My name is Lesley, and I am an experienced and trustworthy pet sitter with over 8 years of experience in the field. “Very kind and took very good care of my puppy communication was very easy and they were very understanding of traffic and time delays for drop off and pick up will 100% be booking with them again”

“Christina did it again! My Bella gets the best care when I’m out of town. I get frequent updates and pics. I don’t have to worry about whether or not she’s being taken care of. Thank you Christina, for taking such good care of my baby!”

“We booked months ahead of our Myrtle Beach vacation. Unfortunately, we had to change our schedule by a couple days and Jenny was awesome in accommodating the changes. I love that our dog had a little buddy to hang out with. Jenny was very flexible in allowing us to come by during the day to pick him up and take him to the beach or on other adventures. Her back yard is good sized to allow for Ramsey to run around and have fun. We would definitely book with Jenny again.”

“Jeff is awesome! Book with Jeff. We felt 100% confident with him and his family keeping our Australian Shepherd for a week while we were away. We did a meet and greet with him and they got along right away. He took her on multiple walks, played a lot, and let her be comfortable around his home. Jeff sent us updates and numerous photos every night, we weren’t worried about her at all as she was definitely having a good time. Having the peace of mind of our baby being well taken care of is worth every penny and more. Thank you, Jeff!”

“Liz is a wonderful dog sitter, she was so warm and welcoming to Maizy. This was Maizys first time away from home and I was worried but Liz took all my worries away with her warmth and caring. Maizy felt right at home and it is such a beautiful home that I think she wanted to stay longer. Highly recommend Liz for all your dog sitting needs!”

“It was such a relief to find Holly! She was so accommodating with our standard poodle, kind, responsive, and easy to work with. She sent us pictures showing our furbaby having fun and getting lots of cuddles. Cannot recommend her highly enough!”
“Laura’s love and understanding of dogs made it easy for me to relax during my trip. She sent pictures and kept communication open for me to get updates. I will definitely contact Laura when we go away again. Thank you for taking good care of my little man!”

“Lauren was welcoming and friendly to our dog and us. She was ready for him to get to know her dogs. Our boy, Ben, was tuckered out from all the fun and playtime he had. Lauren followed my request for his daily pill and feeding schedule; I will use Lauren again if the situation arises. She was very understanding with our flight home to Myrtle being delayed due to weather.”

“Carina was great! She sent me picture updates without me asking, and took great care of my dog. She worked with me to pick my dog up a little earlier than scheduled without any issue. Would definitely use her again!”

“She took care of our fur baby last minute and treated our Zailey like family. She provided updates and photos for the days she had her. I highly recommend Cara! Next time we are in Myrtle Beach we will definitely go to her again! Thanks again Cara 🩷”

“Sam was a wonderful gift for us and Daisy. We needed to board our dog and she is difficult. Doesn’t care for other dogs and some people. We decided to try Rover and found Sam. Daisy went with him and his girlfriend without hesitation. She fell in love with them and so did we. I received the best frame worthy pictures of Daisy. Def recommend Sam. ???”

About: I’ve had my own dog since I was 19. Learned the ins and outs of time management and being a dog mom in college by raising a puppy from the rescue shelter. A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in SC ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies. Cats may be required to have Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis and Rabies up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a board-certified veterinarian or offer other resources to help.
If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s reservation protection means our team will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
