About: Hi, I started pet sitting when I was earning my BS in Animal Science from LSU. Over the years I’ve worked as a vet tech and at medical/ veterinary schools/ teaching hospitals. I’ve been a basic skills/ obedience trainer and watched clients’ pets at their homes or brought them into mine for 35 yrs. I live in a quiet neighborhood 6 miles from Myrtle Beach airport with my 1 year old Lab and his 8 year old All American cat. We love other animals and are very understanding of friends’ individual personalities. We’d love to add your family to ours. I only host one client family's request at a time. Your furry kids will only play with my dog and cat. Caution: let us know if your pets are on a diet because we love treats to bond and offer positive reinforcement. Hope to hear from you soon. I work from home and spend most of the day with my laptop outside on the patio. There’s also a dog door so the pups can come in and out it will if they need the yard or AC. Even when I’m in the office, the door is open. Generally, your pups will only be crated between 10 PM - 6 AM and 6 PM to 8 PM while I’m at the gym. Other than that, my eyes are on them all the time so they can run loose. I do make exceptions for older and/or well-behaved guests. I believe that each animal is an individual so I avoid broad assumptions. Please feel free to ask any questions. I believe in setting pups up for success. This means eliminating situations where they could get into trouble -such as a young dog being loose at night and having an accident, chewing prohibited item, etc. Unfortunately, I’ve seen accidents happen. So I know they can. I treat everyone else’s loved pet as I would a child. It’s a big responsibility that I take very seriously.

About: I have taken care of dogs and cats frequently since middle school, often in house sitting settings as well. I have had dogs throughout my entire life and have many friends with cats and have spent ample time with them. I have dealt with numerous animals with health issues or problems, including older pets and puppies. I understand the value of all the little unique things that are important to an owner to ensure their pet is taken care of, healthy, protected and loved to their standard. My family rescued a puppy this past year, and I took on a large responsibility in training and watching him during his more crucial stages. I have worked with and spent time around multiple rescued animals and understand the value of creating a comfortable environment from them and extra care to detail as they often have triggers from past experiences. I also work with puppies through a local breeder and have learned a lot about puppies and their development. I am a skilled problem solver, know how to communicate well and can recognize when over-communication is important. I manage my time well and feel that people in my life would consider me an overachiever in all things I do. I love animals and miss having them to interact with while at school; therefore, time spent with them is always valuable to me. I am currently a full-time student at Coastal Carolina University and play club volleyball. I have always worked and played a sport full time alongside school, and after transferring here recently, I have found myself with time for a job. With a schedule that makes my routine look different day by day I have found this would be a great fit as I can be flexible in working with clients. My weekends are free and I have lots of longer gaps throughout my day between classes which could be valuable to those who have to leave their pets for long periods of time. I'm from colorado so going home is not an option for me often and widens my availbilty. I have experience working in apartments, houses, ect of all kinds. Often my pet care includes house sitting which I am very comfortable with. I understand the value and basic decency of respect to others homes and possesions. The golden rule is a fundamental aspect of how I operate in my day to day and I would never do something I wouldnt want done to me, my pets or my home. I am a very honest person and would not hesitate to communicate anything that happens in my time with clients pets or their homes. Honesty is the best policy and valuable in maintinging proper care. I am a great problem solver and have lots of experience with handling conflict. Absolutely amazing!! My family and I are visiting from Anderson SC and we brought our husky Thunder. He’s a puppy and has never traveled with us.
