“We've booked with Stephanie a few times and has always been very satisfied with her. Her whole family loves dogs. Her home has a good size yard for zoomies. She will always be our first choice in MB. Thanks Stephanie!”

About: Hi, I started pet sitting when I was earning my BS in Animal Science from LSU. Over the years I’ve worked as a vet tech and at medical/ veterinary schools/ teaching hospitals. I’ve been a basic skills/ obedience trainer and watched clients’ pets at their homes or brought them into mine for 35 yrs. I live in a quiet neighborhood 6 miles from Myrtle Beach airport with my 1 year old Lab and his 8 year old All American cat. We love other animals and are very understanding of friends’ individual personalities. We’d love to add your family to ours. I only host one client family's request at a time. Your furry kids will only play with my dog and cat. Caution: let us know if your pets are on a diet because we love treats to bond and offer positive reinforcement. Hope to hear from you soon. I work from home and spend most of the day with my laptop outside on the patio. There’s also a dog door so the pups can come in and out it will if they need the yard or AC. Even when I’m in the office, the door is open. Generally, your pups will only be crated between 10 PM - 6 AM and 6 PM to 8 PM while I’m at the gym. Other than that, my eyes are on them all the time so they can run loose. I do make exceptions for older and/or well-behaved guests. I believe that each animal is an individual so I avoid broad assumptions. Please feel free to ask any questions. I believe in setting pups up for success. This means eliminating situations where they could get into trouble -such as a young dog being loose at night and having an accident, chewing prohibited item, etc. Unfortunately, I’ve seen accidents happen. So I know they can. I treat everyone else’s loved pet as I would a child. It’s a big responsibility that I take very seriously.
“Lisa was the perfect setter i was looking for.she really care .she never make me worry by continuing contact me during the day about how my puppy is doing.she give a nice walk to my puppy i couldn’t do it that long .myself.i really recommend here if u care about your best friend look no further for someone to care for”

“My dog came home very happy after spending the day with Janice. We’re traveling soon and our dog will be with Janice for ten days. Janice is very warm and caring and I know my pup will be in good hands which gives me peace of mind.”

“I recently had the pleasure of hiring Jacklyn to take care of my dog, Hazel Grace, and I couldn’t be happier with the experience. Jacklyn was incredibly professional, punctual, and caring, making both Hazel Grace and me feel at ease. From the moment we met, it was clear that she had a genuine love for animals. She took the time to understand Hazel’s routine, preferences, and any specific needs. Hazel Grace is usually quite shy around new people, but Jacklyn’s warm and gentle approach quickly won her over. During the time Jacklyn looked after Hazel, she provided regular updates, including photos, which reassured me that everything was going well. It was evident that Jacklyn was not only ensuring Hazel was fed and exercised, but also showering them with affection and attention. I was particularly impressed with Jacklyn’s attention to detail. When I returned, Hazel was happy, healthy, and clearly well-cared for. Overall, I highly recommend Jacklyn to anyone in need of a reliable and compassionate dog sitter. Her dedication and love for animals truly shine through in her work. Thank you, Jacklyn for taking such wonderful care of Hazel Grace!”

“Michelle was great! She greeted us with her 3 adorable kids who seemed thrilled Teddy would be spending the day with them. Michelle sent us pics of Teddy throughout the day and he was in great spirits when we picked him up. Highly recommend Michelle and we plan to use her again in the future.”

“I cannot say good enough things about Karla. It is a pet owner dream pet sitter. Will take care of your baby just like it was hers. Our girl has high anxiety and separation anxiety and Karla was able to calm her down and get her to relax until she was super comfortable with being away from us. Through all this time she constantly sent me updates, videos and images and that really made my time away more relaxed. Thank you so so much for your help on such a short notice!”

About: I have had dogs all my life. I have taken care of my own for the past nine years as well as fostered a few dogs for a few days/weeks at a time to give it the chance to decompress from the shelter. Dogs are the best part of me! I am currently a student at Coastal Carolina! I have customized my schedule and have more than enough time to spend with your furry friends! I love to walk and let them enjoy fresh air as well as cuddle and rest. I will adapt to whatever your dog(s) may need!
“We had an amazing experience with Carly's doggy daycare! While we were on vacation in Myrtle Beach celebrating our 10th wedding anniversary, Carly took wonderful care of our Cockapoo, Bailey 🐾. From the moment we dropped Bailey off, we knew she was in great hands. Carly gave her plenty of one-on-one attention, and the frequent photos and updates throughout the day gave us so much peace of mind. Knowing that our little pup girl was happy, loved, and well cared for allowed us to fully enjoy our special anniversary without worrying about leaving her alone. I highly recommend Carly to anyone looking for a caring and dependable dog sitter. The personalized attention and genuine love she provides truly make her stand out. We are so grateful for the excellent care she gave Bailey and would absolutely book with her again!❤️”

“I dropped Charlie off to Cara and I couldn’t believe how excited Charlie was to see Cara again! She definitely remembered her and obviously had a good experience with her. I have been thinking about retiring in Myrtle Beach and I know if I do, Cara has a client for life! I am highly satisfied with her services and Charlie was too! You will NOT be disappointed with Cara!”

“Teddy is always happy to see Oceana and seems to enjoy his stay while he is there. I really appreciate the pictures that are sent to me during his stay! We have used Oceana numerous times and would recommend her!”

Think of doggy day care as your dog’s fun, supervised play date that happens to fit into your workday. Day care through Rover takes place in a real home. This offers a calmer and more personalized environment for your pup.
A typical day can include companionship, one-on-one attention, and same day pick-up and drop-off. Many sitters can also offer structured routines and exercise throughout the day. For recurring, weekly day care, sitters will include photo updates so you can see your dog in their element.
Here are tips for finding the ideal day care fit for your dog:
- For some small dogs: In-home day care can be the perfect fit. Look for sitters whose "can host" section only lists dogs weighing 0–7 kilograms and/or 7–18 kilograms. During your Meet & Greet, ask about play areas based on dog size and energy level.
- For high-energy dogs: The ideal doggy day care can offer scheduled breaks and outdoor spaces or activities. You can also find sitters who host multiple dogs to satisfy your pup’s socializing needs.
- For dogs who prefer human-only companionship: Use the filters "Doesn't own a dog" and "Only accepts one pet at a time" to find the right care.
Play groups can be an option when you book with a day care sitter through Rover. Many sitters do host a small number of dogs at the same time. Smaller dog packs are generally safer, more fun, and ideal for dogs who enjoy playtime but also want to relax throughout the day. When looking for your dog’s pack, check the sitter’s profile to see if they "Accept multiple clients" or have their own dogs. Then during the Meet & Greet, you can see whether your dog is a good fit for their social circle!
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in SC ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
