“This was my first time using Rover so I was a little nervous but Craig exceeded expectations! He arrived on time, did exactly what I asked of him. He even fixed lights for me that got messed up due to a power outage. 10 stars!! Thank you, Craig! We will be booking with you again 😊”

“We are so happy to have had Belkis care for our pup. We did the Myrtle Beach Marathon and needed help with our dog while we were running. Belkis came the day before to meet Toby and find our camp spot as we were also camping at the beach. She was wonderful with him and so accommodating to us. I highly recommend using Belkis for your pet care needs!”

About: Hi, I'm Julia! Lifelong cat lover and proud mom to two sweet kitties, Salem and Molly. I’ve had cats my whole life and adore dogs too. Reliable, gentle, and photo-update happy—I treat every pet like family. Let me give your furry one the love and care they deserve while you're away! 🐱🐶 I work from home in the Carolina Forest area and am familiar with driving around the grand strand! I’m able to step out at different times throughout the day to care for your fur babies. I offer in-home pet sitting so your cats and dogs stay relaxed in their own space. With lifelong experience caring for cats (and two of my own at home) and plenty of time around friendly dogs, I follow your routine exactly—feeding, litter/walks, play, meds, and lots of love and attention. Daily photo updates included so you can enjoy your trip worry-free.
“Shana was AMAZING! She made sure to go above and beyond expectations. Her care reflected the same love and attention as I would give my own. The pictures and precise detail of activities made it feel as if I was there with my furry friend. I recommend anyone for her service; and I will be continuing care through her in the future!”

About: I have had dogs of my own since I was a child. I have been involved in fostering for local rescues & shelters for 5 years I have co-ran my own 501c3 rescue for almost 3 years I do work full time, so I am gone Monday- Friday from roughly 7A.M until 6 P.M. (depending on how far you are from my job). I drive Uber on the weekends during the summer months, but those hours are flexible & can vary based on your pet's needs. I have a fenced yard, but I have 3 senior dogs of my own and because of running the rescue, I usually have a foster dog as well so taking a dog into my home would be more challenging, but if I were to drop in or stay at your home, your dog(s) would get all of the one on one attention &time that they require
“Megan was absolutely amazing to work with! She took excellent care of my fur babies while I was out of town for the 4th of July weekend. She went above and beyond with fun and engaging reports and pics after each visit. Megan went even more above and beyond when she noticed that my dog (who I am fostering) was terrified of the fireworks going off in our neighborhood. She stayed with her much longer than her scheduled visit that night to make sure my baby was calmed down before leaving. I will definitely be using her again!!”

“Jie was so patient and kind with our sweet fur babies! Rocky our anxious dog got scared when it thundered and she patiently worked with him to get him out from under our bed. Our home was left clean and our pets were well taken care of! Thank you Jie!”

About: What sets me apart is my lifelong experience and genuine love for animals. I’m patient with puppies, gentle with seniors, and treat every pet like family. Pet care fits easily into my routine. I’m currently in school with classes only two days a week, so I have plenty of flexible time for walks, visits, feeding, and giving pets consistent attention and care. “Khirah is a five star pet sitter. We have two shy cats and she tried hard to find the kitties during each daily visit. We appreciated the daily photos and updates. We felt vey comfortable with Khirah taking care of our pets and we look forward to asking her to pet sit in the future!”

“Samantha was amazing with my 2 Great Danes! She gave them lots of love and went above and beyond offering to take them for walks. She also was extremely helpful and accommodating when I reached out needing last minute care. Highly recommend and would definitely have her watch my pups again!”

“Emily was very attentive and caring with Vienna and kept me updated on the visit. She was patient, thoughtful, and handled everything professionally. I really appreciated the care she gave and would definitely recommend!”

“I truly appreciated Kat taking such care with our cats. she was stellar about communication and updates as well as sending photos of the Maple (the other two are more shy around new people). I would definitely book Kat again in the future. She was a pleasure to work with. Thank you, Kat!”

About: Animals have always been a huge part of my life, and I love spending time with dogs and cats of all personalities and ages! I currently have two senior rescue dogs and a rescue cat — Madison, Olive, and Winnie — who have taught me so much about patience, trust, and individualized care. Because my own pets came with health and behavioral challenges, I understand how important it is to find someone dependable, patient, and attentive to care for your pets. I’m happy to help with walks, playtime, feeding, medications, potty breaks, backyard time, litter box care, and plenty of love and attention. During house sits, I can also bring in mail/packages, water plants, and help keep your home feeling cared for while you’re away. Whether your pet is energetic, shy, anxious, or just wants extra cuddles, I’ll make sure they feel safe, loved, and cared for while you’re away. I'm starting nursing school in the fall so will have a fairly flexible schedule around school-related things (classes, clinicals, studying, etc.) I will do my best to ensure my schedule is up to date so there are no surprises. Depending on the service I would like to set up at least one meet and greet to get to know your fur baby, their schedule, quirks, etc.
About: I love both cats and dogs, and have grown up with both. I have been a pet sitter for many different sizes and breeds of dogs and cats. I have done pet sitting for multiple family members and friends during my college years and beyond. I have a fairly flexible schedule; I am fully available on Monday, I am available most mornings, and I am also available at various times mid-day throughout the week. I am gentle with animals and I am aware of their body language. I am careful with opening/closing doors or gates to make sure animals do not get out or get into a space that they're not supposed to be in. I am also careful to make sure that food is secured properly or anything that a pet might get into. I am detail oriented and will follow instructions carefully from the owner regarding their pet/s.

Craig is a gem. He truly cares about my cat. She looks forward to seeing him He’s punctual, a great communicator, and leaves the most awesome notes and photos. I trust him with my Dirka cat and to be in my home when I’m not there. Couldn’t ask for a better sitter. Thank you!!!

Dawn does a great job with our cats. From our first visit with her our cats could tell she was a cat person and were more friendly than they usually are with strangers. She makes sure that she gives them treats and pets- even when they aren’t cooperating! We trust leaving our pets with her.

Cat sitters on Rover care for your cats’ needs and can spend quality time with them, including activities like feeding, playing, and refreshing their water and litter boxes. Depending on your arrangement, you can schedule as many visits per day as your cat needs or find a sitter who can stay at your house overnight. Some sitters also board cats in their home.

Many pet parents provide a spare key or arrange a lockbox. You can also exchange keys during the Meet & Greet and show your walker how to use digital fobs or personalized codes. It helps to arrange access to your home, from spare keys to concierge introductions, before pet care begins.
If you live in an apartment or condo, don’t forget to discuss details like buzzer access, codes, or elevator etiquette. These details can help a pet sitter feel more comfortable going in and out of your building.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Forestbrook. On Rover:

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
