“Absolutely fantastic! We loved reading the detailed Rover cards twice a day, he took many photos and made sure my home was in tip top shape. And Cooper loved him!! I will definitely choose him again for our next vacation!”

“We are so happy to have had Belkis care for our pup. We did the Myrtle Beach Marathon and needed help with our dog while we were running. Belkis came the day before to meet Toby and find our camp spot as we were also camping at the beach. She was wonderful with him and so accommodating to us. I highly recommend using Belkis for your pet care needs!”

“Kat was awesome with Simba’s care. She took the time to make the cat feel comfortable around her and kept in constant communication with me. Her pictures were a great addition and I appreciated them. I would for sure ask for her help again the next time we travel. Thank you for everything!!”

“Beth was fantastic! She kept me updated with every visit. Pictures of my pups were included with every visit. She went above and beyond to take care of my babies and I can’t thank her enough!”

“Shana was AMAZING! She made sure to go above and beyond expectations. Her care reflected the same love and attention as I would give my own. The pictures and precise detail of activities made it feel as if I was there with my furry friend. I recommend anyone for her service; and I will be continuing care through her in the future!”

“My wife and I couldn't be happier for the attention and care Anita gave our doggie, Doodles. She was always on time, sent pics and responded quickly to any questions we had. We highly recommend Anita, she's the best. Doodles says, woof, woof ( I agree)! We will definitely use her again. Thanks Rover”

“Samantha was very reliable and spent quality time with Macie (our cat) during her drop-in visits. She kept us informed and posted pictures whenever she did her drop-in visit. We highly recommend Samantha and trust she would take very good care of your fur babies.”

“Karli is an outstanding pet sitter and took great care of our two kittens while we were away for the first time. She takes the time to write thoughtful, thorough updates and send lots of photos. We are grateful to have found her!”

About: I’ve been caring for dogs and cats since I was about 8 years old. Growing up, I was always surrounded by pets and loved helping my aunt care for her dogs. Helping with feeding them, letting them outside, and even helping with bath time. At home, we always had both cats and dogs, including my mom’s beloved Persian cat, Winston, who lived to the remarkable age of 21. Today, I have an amazing dog of my own, Delilah (“Dilly”) is my snuggly sidekick who loves spending time with the family. Caring for animals has always been a natural part of my life, and I’ll treat your pets with the same love, patience, and attention I give my own. I’m available all day Saturdays and Sundays. I’m also available for evening drop ins and walks Monday through Friday. I’m dependable, flexible, and happy to work with your pets routine whenever possible. I care for every pet based on their individual needs and routine. My dog enjoys daily walks around the neighborhood or yard, plenty of playtime, lots of affection, and, of course, treats (with permission) Delilah aka Dilly is my shadow and she sleeps in her fluffy bed or right next to me. Having cared for dogs with different personalities, ages, and backgrounds, I understand that every pet is unique, and I’m happy to follow the routine that helps them feel safe, comfortable, and loved.
“Kelly is a wonderful cat sitter. My two cats usually run from people, but they were very comfortable with Kelly. Some days she played with them and on other days they just chilled. She sent me pictures every day along with a summary of what they had done and how they acted. I was very pleased to have her as a sitter for my two cats.”

“Marie was amazing with our pup! We can't wait to use her again; she was caring, informative and communicative. We received lots of pictures and details about each visit.”

About: I love both cats and dogs, and have grown up with both. I have been a pet sitter for many different sizes and breeds of dogs and cats. I have done pet sitting for multiple family members and friends during my college years and beyond. I have a fairly flexible schedule; I am fully available on Monday, I am available most mornings, and I am also available at various times mid-day throughout the week. I am gentle with animals and I am aware of their body language. I am careful with opening/closing doors or gates to make sure animals do not get out or get into a space that they're not supposed to be in. I am also careful to make sure that food is secured properly or anything that a pet might get into. I am detail oriented and will follow instructions carefully from the owner regarding their pet/s.
About: I’ve taken care of dogs of every kind since I was 10. Neighbors, friends and family have relied on me to walk, feed and bathe their pets. i am available anytime throughout the week and weekdays for any tight schedules will show your animals extra love as always. i am very reliable aswell count on me with your animals. i am a very calm sitter and i generally like to atone to the dogs mood and what the animal wants to do throughout are time together.

Cat parents share their Rover experiences - Socastee
Kat was amazing. She sent pictures and videos of our cat Fluffy, which included personal comments as well. Fluffy is afraid of everyone and usually hides in the closet with new people. Kat was able to have him come out and was able to pet him. We were shocked when we saw the video. We will definitely use Kat again in the future.
Emily always goes above and beyond when it comes to taking care of your furrbabies. Her care and love for animals will make you feel at ease when traveling away from them. Emily provides wonderful updates that are full of details and pictures. Very reliable. Thank you, Emily

She was amazing and truly went above and beyond while taking care of my cat. She was very responsive, kept me updated, and was so sweet and patient with him. It gave me so much peace of mind knowing he was in such great hands. I would absolutely book with her again and highly recommend her to anyone looking for a caring and reliable pet sitter!

Dawn does a great job with our cats. From our first visit with her our cats could tell she was a cat person and were more friendly than they usually are with strangers. She makes sure that she gives them treats and pets- even when they aren’t cooperating! We trust leaving our pets with her.

We love Nicole! We’ve used her twice now for drop in visits & she takes such great care of our 2 dogs & kitten as if they were her own. She always goes above and beyond. It’s such a relief to be able to leave knowing my animals are being so well cared for while I’m gone

Christa did a great job…she definitely has an understanding of animals and their natures. Our cat, Lego, liked her from his initial meeting with her during our Meet & Greet. She has an obvious love of animals and an inate sense of communicating with them. She’s well organized and professional in every way. Excellent communication…take my word for it, you’ll be glad you hired her to sit with your treasured pet!

Cat sitters on Rover care for your cats’ needs and can spend quality time with them, including activities like feeding, playing, and refreshing their water and litter boxes. Depending on your arrangement, you can schedule as many visits per day as your cat needs or find a sitter who can stay at your house overnight. Some sitters also board cats in their home.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Socastee. On Rover:

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
