“Debby is absolutely fantastic! She and her family went above and beyond for our dogs while we were away. I wish we could keep her everyday! Our dogs have been looking for her out the window all day long! We received very detailed descriptions of her visit and got to see many great pictures of our pups and the fun adventures she took them on!”

About: I am a previous dog owner of 16 years. I unfortunately lost them both a few years back and looking for a dog to walk or sit with as this would fill my heart! They do truly bring me joy. I am currently a dog walker for one other dog in my neighborhood. I am a current p/t caregiver for my dad with dementia and I am looking for a p/t job as a walker or dog sitter. This is great therapy for me. I love being outside and I love to walk. I am a compassionate and patient person with animals and with people that are looking for help. If I am in another person’s home, I would treat their pet and their home as if it were my own. I am willing to play with your pet, walk and give treats and food as needed.

“Kelly relieved any stress we would have had about leaving our two cats and chinchilla for an extended vacation. She comforted them with her visits and us by sending several pics. We appreciated her help and will definitely use her services in the future!!”
“Craig sent a notice to me for each visit and he sent several very cute photos of Lucy. I intend to book him for another visit next month and I hope he’s available.”

About: I've been volunteering to care for my friends and family's pets since before I can remember. While I’ve always owned kitties throughout my life, doggos hold a very special place in my heart. From poms to danes I've enjoyed every minute of caring for canines of any age, breed, and personality. I love to send updates and photos, and am very comfortable administering medications for both cats and dogs (injections, pills, ear and eye drops). I'm happy to walk, run, snuggle, and talk with your pet and am an expert at head scratches and belly rubs. I know all too well that one of the biggest challenges to traveling is finding care for your pet that ensures they don’t feel alone or bored while you’re away. I am happy to perform any routines that would make your pet most comfortable (Are they used to having a fetch session after dinner? Does your kitty expect snuggles on a particular chair in the living room?). Whatever level of care you need to know your fur baby is safe while you’re away, I’m here for it. Looking forward to meeting you and your pets! I work from home on a loose schedule - so care at any hour is no problem! Happy to take my laptop with me to spend more time with your fur baby between virtual calls. However your pet is used to spending their day, I’m happy to oblige. In the past I’ve worked for a few hours from a client’s living room to get more snuggle time in. I’m happy to play, snuggle, feed, and care for your pet to make sure they feel the love in your absence!
“Kaylin let our dog out for two weeks while our main person was out of town. She was great! Reliable, punctual and took great care of lady. We will be using her again forsure! She even gave lady a toy at the end that she loves. Book her, you will feel at peace knowing your dog is being taken great care of !!”

“We are so glad we have Nicole to watch Hannah. She is always prompt and seems to have a good relationship with our dog. She goes the extra yard and communicates regularly. It is a great piece of mind to know she is there when we travel. Thanks Nicole!”

“Alexis was exceptional! My one dg is extremely nervous but she managed to have him playing in less than 3 days. Which if you knew my dog is a miracle! Highly recommend Alexis to all dog owners but particularly to anyone who has a nervous pup”

“Sue did a wonderful job taking care of my two foster kitties! This was the first time I’ve left them in another’s care, and I couldn’t have asked for a better caregiver. Sue was very attentive to their needs and spent quality time with them, playing with them and helping them get used to another person. She definitely helped in bringing my shy one out of her shell a bit! I would not hesitate to book Sue again and highly recommend her as a Rover pet sitter!”
“Grace is absolutely amazing! We called her our pups “saving Grace” ;) we had a bit of an odd request. We were coming down for our wedding from Virginia and brought our 10 month Great Dane/lab mix pup with us. He has some separation anxiety when he’s in new places and we didn’t want him destroying our rental house. Grace came to us and sat with him while we were out doing wedding festivities. She was responsive to us, sent us pictures and we knew our pup was safe. Had 0 issues or concerns. If we ever come back to Myrtle Beach with Maverick we will be contacting Grace again and HIGHLY recommend her.”

“Laura is very easy to work with. She was very responsive to our short notice need. She has cared for our dogs in the past, and did a great job again today. Thank you very much, Laura!! We really appreciate it.”

About: I have been taking care of all kinds of animals from farm to regular household pets for as long as I can remember! They are one of the best parts of life. I work from home and am willing to help any way I can. My schedule is pretty wide open other than a few vacation days. My house is my safe space which is what I will provide to your pet as well. I have a one year old pup of my own. That means I have plenty of toys to play with, a yard and plenty of space to run.

Cat parents share their Rover experiences - Murrells Inlet
Rebekah did a great job watching our two timid foster kitties. It took a couple days, but they started coming out while she was here, and she was able to hand feed treats to one of them. We’ve been working on getting them socialized for 6 months now, and it’s heartwarming to see them come around to someone new so quickly. I loved getting her comments and pictures after each visit! We will definitely book with Rebekah again!

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Wendy was amazing! She took great care of our dog and cat while we were away for the weekend. We got updates and photos, and both pets looked so happy and comfortable when we got home. Highly recommend her if you need someone loving and dependable to care for your animals!

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Murrells Inlet. On Rover:

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
