“We had a last-minute need for a Dog Walker and Beth responded immediately. We liked her so much during our short time of need that we will be sure to use her at all times in the future when I need arises she is prompt, caring and considerate. I highly recommend our service.”

“Debby is awesome! Leaves great feedback to follow and provides water along the walks in case your pets need it. I get the feeling that she truly treats all dogs as if they’re her own. I would highly recommend booking with her!”

“My husband and I travelled to Myrtle Beach, SC for 9 days with our Siberian husky, Sansa and we were able to golf 6 times with Craig taking Sansa for walks. This was our first experience with Rover and it was great. We really liked being able to see the walk routes, start/finish times, photos and the notes. We met Craig and Sansa seemed very happy to meet him. We will definitely look for Craig if we come back to MB.”

“I could not have hoped for better than Kaylin! She is propmt, respectful, and caring. Jackson is always very excited to see Kaylin. He will miss her when she returns to University.”

About: I am a previous dog owner of 16 years. I unfortunately lost them both a few years back and looking for a dog to walk or sit with as this would fill my heart! They do truly bring me joy. I am currently a dog walker for one other dog in my neighborhood. I am a current p/t caregiver for my dad with dementia and I am looking for a p/t job as a walker or dog sitter. This is great therapy for me. I love being outside and I love to walk. I am a compassionate and patient person with animals and with people that are looking for help. If I am in another person’s home, I would treat their pet and their home as if it were my own. I am willing to play with your pet, walk and give treats and food as needed.
“Julie has been wonderful to work with. Ozzy has taken to greeting her at the door. He enjoys his walks so much and with Julie’s help, he doesn’t have to miss them. He loves the extra attention (and treats) he gets when she visits. Anya, our kitty, has also taken to Julie and comes out to say hello when she’s around. I really appreciate Julie being there when I can’t. I love that she sends pics and texts, reassuring me that my pet family is doing well. It has been a relief to have someone who can help take care of Ozzy when I’m not home. Thank you, Julie. You are a blessing!”

“I contacted Jeffrey R. very last minute one day when I was in a bind and couldn't get home to let my dogs out. He had a spot and made it all happen to where I didn't have to worry about my dogs not having a potty break during a very long work day for me. Highly recommend!”

About: I have always had pets growing up as a child and my love for them has only progressed into adulthood. I am passionate about taking care of animals and provide them with all the care that they deserve. I'm currently working remote and have the flexibility to care for pets during all hours of the day. I am also available on the weekend and more than happy to watch overnight. I will take the time to make sure everything is secure and comfortable in the clients home before leaving and provide the pup with what is recommended by the owner before they return home. If a pup is staying at my home, I will make sure they get plenty of attention and will create a safe environment for them.
“Nicole was everything I had hoped for in a dog sitter. Kind, attentive, prompt, and communicative! Sophie and Winston loved spending time with her and her daughter! I needed a last-minute sitter and she came through, exceeding all my expectations. I always worry about leaving our dogs while traveling, but her updates kept my mind at ease. Will definitely be booking her again!”

“Marie did an awesome job. My Zoey seems to really like her. We did a meet and greet. She was friendly and interacted with Zoey. Zoey took to her right away. Showed up on time. Great dog walker.”

About: As a pet owner for 20+ years, I have been blessed to care for dogs through every stage of life—from puppies to seniors, including a blind dog and one with mobility challenges. While I am new to Rover, I am not new to the genuine attention, patience, and love that fur babies deserve. My experience also includes completing individual and group K-9 training courses with my own dogs. Agility is in the mix as well, so the back yard is often home to hoops, jumps, tunnels, and weave poles...oh my! Currently, I work full-time, Monday - Thursdays, and half-days on Fridays. Evenings and weekends are dedicated to adventures, cuddles, and the like with my English Spring Spaniel, Granger. Please feel encouraged to message me about dates, times, and the like. If able, I will happily make accommodations. I have a spacious fenced in yard for "fun and run". Crates are preferred for overnight stays. Furbo and Ring are on premises for extra safety and security.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement walker.
