“Darrah has been walking my pup for about 2 weeks now and it has been a smooth transition. She has a good understanding of the needs of a senior. She is punctual and sends lots of pictures! She is very intuitive to his needs and gives him all the love I wish I could while I’m at work. I definitely recommend Darrah and will continue to use her as our walker!”
“We are so happy to have had Belkis care for our pup. We did the Myrtle Beach Marathon and needed help with our dog while we were running. Belkis came the day before to meet Toby and find our camp spot as we were also camping at the beach. She was wonderful with him and so accommodating to us. I highly recommend using Belkis for your pet care needs!”

“Shana was AMAZING! She made sure to go above and beyond expectations. Her care reflected the same love and attention as I would give my own. The pictures and precise detail of activities made it feel as if I was there with my furry friend. I recommend anyone for her service; and I will be continuing care through her in the future!”

“I knew I chose the right person to watch my cat when I met Julia. She is kind and very responsive. She showed a great deal of love and care for my cat. I will certainly use her again for future sittings.”

“Chrissy is extremely reliable and doesn’t hesitate to help when she is needed. I’m comforted by the fact that I know she loves looking after my pups, and they also love her attention. Thank you Chrissy for being the best!”

About: I love both cats and dogs, and have grown up with both. I have been a pet sitter for many different sizes and breeds of dogs and cats. I have done pet sitting for multiple family members and friends during my college years and beyond. I have a fairly flexible schedule; I am fully available on Monday, I am available most mornings, and I am also available at various times mid-day throughout the week. I am gentle with animals and I am aware of their body language. I am careful with opening/closing doors or gates to make sure animals do not get out or get into a space that they're not supposed to be in. I am also careful to make sure that food is secured properly or anything that a pet might get into. I am detail oriented and will follow instructions carefully from the owner regarding their pet/s.
“Jie was so patient and kind with our sweet fur babies! Rocky our anxious dog got scared when it thundered and she patiently worked with him to get him out from under our bed. Our home was left clean and our pets were well taken care of! Thank you Jie!”

“Kelly was so incredibly wonderful. This was the first time we had her visit our 2 cats. She really cares about their well being and spent the extra time during drop ins to make sure the cats were loved a bit. We will be using her again!!”

“Yelena was amazing with my high energy huskies! They absolutely loved her, and enjoyed having her company. I’m so grateful for her kindness and joy towards my fur babies!”

“Emily did a wonderful job with my two cats while I was out of town. My cats are everything to me and she made sure they were well taken care of, and went over and above to leave my home in a better state than when she arrived. One of the best I’ve ever had to watch over my little girls!”

“Tawny was great! I have 4 dogs, ranging in sizes, and they are very high maintenance. she did great with all of them! Followed instructions perfectly, had great communication, and made me feel so comfortable with my pups under her care. I will be requesting her every time I need a sitter for my doggos!”
About: What sets me apart is my lifelong experience and genuine love for animals. I’m patient with puppies, gentle with seniors, and treat every pet like family. Pet care fits easily into my routine. I’m currently in school with classes only two days a week, so I have plenty of flexible time for walks, visits, feeding, and giving pets consistent attention and care. I care for pets by following their usual routines, including feeding, walks, and playtime. I provide attention, comfort, and a safe environment, whether in my home or theirs.
About: Hi, I started pet sitting when I was earning my BS in Animal Science from LSU. Over the years I’ve worked as a vet tech and at medical/ veterinary schools/ teaching hospitals. I’ve been a basic skills/ obedience trainer and watched clients’ pets at their homes or brought them into mine for 35 yrs. I live in a quiet neighborhood 6 miles from Myrtle Beach airport with my 1 year old Lab and his 8 year old All American cat. We love other animals and are very understanding of friends’ individual personalities. We’d love to add your family to ours. I only host one client family's request at a time. Your furry kids will only play with my dog and cat. Caution: let us know if your pets are on a diet because we love treats to bond and offer positive reinforcement. Hope to hear from you soon. I work from home and spend most of the day with my laptop outside on the patio. There’s also a dog door so the pups can come in and out it will if they need the yard or AC. Even when I’m in the office, the door is open. Generally, your pups will only be crated between 10 PM - 6 AM and 6 PM to 8 PM while I’m at the gym. Other than that, my eyes are on them all the time so they can run loose. I do make exceptions for older and/or well-behaved guests. I believe that each animal is an individual so I avoid broad assumptions. Please feel free to ask any questions. I believe in setting pups up for success. This means eliminating situations where they could get into trouble -such as a young dog being loose at night and having an accident, chewing prohibited item, etc. Unfortunately, I’ve seen accidents happen. So I know they can. I treat everyone else’s loved pet as I would a child. It’s a big responsibility that I take very seriously.

About: I have taken care of animals my whole life. A few years ago I had the opportunity to work with a pet sitting business which allowed me to gain more experience. I am caring, attentive and want the best for your pet. I currently work part- time so I have lots of flexibility in my schedule. I am available on Tuesday, Wednesday and Saturday. The other days of the week I am available most afternoons and evenings. I will treat your pet with care and respect. Whether a young dog who needs energy and play or a senior that goes at a slower pace, I am there to accommodate accordingly.
About: I've been an aspiring dog trainer for 5+ yrs, and I am working on becoming a professional dog trainer as well as becoming pet CPR Certified and a FEAR FREE certification to help keep your pets safe and happy during their stay with me. I also have 2+ yrs experience in the Veterinary field where I learned safety procedures in a wide variety of situations, and much more. I'm currently working on ROVER part-time, so I should have plenty of time to schedule play dates with your pup's. My place is open 24/7 for boarding and Daycare for your pets, weekend times vary with brop ins and walks. Information on time and availability should be updated correctly on my calendar. My number one priority is to bring safety and comfort to your pet's. I do not have a fenced in yard yet, but I have plenty of backyard/frontyard space with which I will utilize your pets personal leash for exercise and potty breaks, or depending on pets personality no leash might not be needed. I like to encourage you bring your pet's personal kennel during their stay but it's not necessary. I'm also in the process of dog- proofing every inch of space that your pet will be occupying. I am a stay-at-home mom so I have plenty of time to offer for your pets where I can offer plenty of exercise and potty breaks. I will also be available at times for picking up and dropping off your pet's at your home. During your pups stay with me it will be like a mini vacation for them. I will 100% treat them like my own. I offer a clean and sanitized space, as well as a safe environment where they can relax and not feel overwhelmed. I only keep a very limited amount of pups at once to help keep that "at home" environment. I do allow creates but it's not mandatory.

About: The house I grew up in always had dogs around, we used to train them for shows so I have an idea of how to keep pets safe and out of trouble, I have experience with dogs as tiny as a dachshund and as big as a boston mastiff so i’m prepared for anything. I am currently a student at HGTC working on getting my degree in ultrasound tech. I also work part time at the Applebee’s as a server. While all that seems like a lot I actually do get more free time then I expected and I would love to spend that time watching your pets. I like to treat every animal as if it was my own, giving them the same love and respect I would my pets. Whatever you decide is best for how you would like me to watch your animals is how I will do it, it takes a lot of trust to find a sitter so it’s important to me that I follow any guidelines given.

Cat parents share their Rover experiences - Carolina Forest
Amy was absolutely wonderful! We are new to the area so I wasn’t sure who would take care of our cat pumkin . From the moment I met Amy I was sure that I made the right choice. She was kind, and reassured me that my cat was going to be well cared for. She updated me with cute pictures and information about Pumkin. She took great care of him, and even made sure to use his favorite toy at playtime. We will definitely be using Amy again.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
