“I knew I chose the right person to watch my cat when I met Julia. She is kind and very responsive. She showed a great deal of love and care for my cat. I will certainly use her again for future sittings.”

“I am not usually into leave reviews, but Jody was absolutely amazing! She somehow managed to get my cat who is terrified of people he doesn’t know to come out and play with her every day. Jody provided detailed reports and photos every day. She was there when she said she would be. I was away for almost 3 weeks visiting family and did not worry about Shadow once. From the meet and greet, I knew he would be in good hands. He was very happy in Jody’s care. I highly recommend Jody and look forward to using her services again. Thank you Jody for taking such good care of Shadow and making my extended trip stress-free”

“Craig took amazing care of our 3 dogs and 1 cat over 2 days, coming by 3 times to feed, walk, and give them lots of love. Everyone was happy, well-fed, and relaxed when we got home. Great communication and dependable service — we’ll definitely be booking again!”
“We are so happy to have had Belkis care for our pup. We did the Myrtle Beach Marathon and needed help with our dog while we were running. Belkis came the day before to meet Toby and find our camp spot as we were also camping at the beach. She was wonderful with him and so accommodating to us. I highly recommend using Belkis for your pet care needs!”

“Shana was professional and personable! She gave me peace of mind to care for my puppy while I am at work. She sent pics while she's with my fur baby and thinks of the details what he may need. I would highly recommend Shana!”

“Darrah did an amazing job. My cats had a wonderful time playing with her, and she sent great photos of them! She communicated with me every day about how they were doing. Will definitely be using her in the future!”

“Kimberly is Hands down the greatest there is! She takes the best of care with my fur baby and there’s no one I trust more. From day one she’s been awesome with him ( he’s a picky and judgmental boy lol) whether it’s walking him or playing ball if he’s being stubborn. Thank you a million times 😊”

About: The house I grew up in always had dogs around, we used to train them for shows so I have an idea of how to keep pets safe and out of trouble, I have experience with dogs as tiny as a dachshund and as big as a boston mastiff so i’m prepared for anything. I am currently a student at HGTC working on getting my degree in ultrasound tech. I also work part time at the Applebee’s as a server. While all that seems like a lot I actually do get more free time then I expected and I would love to spend that time watching your pets. I like to treat every animal as if it was my own, giving them the same love and respect I would my pets. Whatever you decide is best for how you would like me to watch your animals is how I will do it, it takes a lot of trust to find a sitter so it’s important to me that I follow any guidelines given.

About: I have taken care of animals my whole life. A few years ago I had the opportunity to work with a pet sitting business which allowed me to gain more experience. I am caring, attentive and want the best for your pet. I currently work part- time so I have lots of flexibility in my schedule. I am available on Tuesday, Wednesday and Saturday. The other days of the week I am available most afternoons and evenings. I will treat your pet with care and respect. About: I love both cats and dogs, and have grown up with both. I have been a pet sitter for many different sizes and breeds of dogs and cats. I have done pet sitting for multiple family members and friends during my college years and beyond. I have a fairly flexible schedule; I am fully available on Monday, I am available most mornings, and I am also available at various times mid-day throughout the week. I am gentle with animals and I am aware of their body language. I am careful with opening/closing doors or gates to make sure animals do not get out or get into a space that they're not supposed to be in. I am also careful to make sure that food is secured properly or anything that a pet might get into. I am detail oriented and will follow instructions carefully from the owner regarding their pet/s.

About: I've been an aspiring dog trainer for 5+ yrs, and I am working on becoming a professional dog trainer as well as becoming pet CPR Certified and a FEAR FREE certification to help keep your pets safe and happy during their stay with me. I also have 2+ yrs experience in the Veterinary field where I learned safety procedures in a wide variety of situations, and much more. I'm currently working on ROVER part-time, so I should have plenty of time to schedule play dates with your pup's. My place is open 24/7 for boarding and Daycare for your pets, weekend times vary with brop ins and walks. Information on time and availability should be updated correctly on my calendar. My number one priority is to bring safety and comfort to your pet's. I do not have a fenced in yard yet, but I have plenty of backyard/frontyard space with which I will utilize your pets personal leash for exercise and potty breaks, or depending on pets personality no leash might not be needed. I like to encourage you bring your pet's personal kennel during their stay but it's not necessary. I'm also in the process of dog- proofing every inch of space that your pet will be occupying. I am a stay-at-home mom so I have plenty of time to offer for your pets where I can offer plenty of exercise and potty breaks. I will also be available at times for picking up and dropping off your pet's at your home. During your pups stay with me it will be like a mini vacation for them. I will 100% treat them like my own. I offer a clean and sanitized space, as well as a safe environment where they can relax and not feel overwhelmed. I only keep a very limited amount of pups at once to help keep that "at home" environment. I do allow creates but it's not mandatory.

Amy was absolutely wonderful! We are new to the area so I wasn’t sure who would take care of our cat pumkin . From the moment I met Amy I was sure that I made the right choice. She was kind, and reassured me that my cat was going to be well cared for. She updated me with cute pictures and information about Pumkin. She took great care of him, and even made sure to use his favorite toy at playtime. We will definitely be using Amy again.

Donald is such an amazing pet sitter!! We have been so pleased with Donald, he is very diligent and takes his job seriously. I feel confident and relieved to know he can be there when I am not able to, and so appreciative for the notes and amazing pictures he sends our way. Donald allows us to enjoy our time away knowing he is there for our 2 dogs. Our dogs adore him!

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
