About: I’ve recently retired after 27 years and I’m ready to enjoy working again. My family has always adopted dogs but we have also had a cat and an Iguana! I love all animals and I’m excited to spend time playing with as many pets as I can fit in a day!! I’m not working so I spend my early morning walking my dog, Chandler, because he doesn’t like the heat! I have a flexible schedule and love to take walks so hoping to find a few dogs that want a little more exercise! My dog is a 4 year old mix breed about 35lbs. He gets along with other dogs well so long as they get along I’m happy to take in a dog!
“Jody is so wonderful with our older dog, Loki! She makes sure to not only taking him on nice, long walks sending photo updates along the way but also fills up his water bowl as well before leaving making sure he is well taking care of before leaving.”

“Shana is great. Rebel is a rescue and very skittish around many people. Shana was very patient, got on the floor and played with him and she was able to make him feel at ease with her very quickly. Shana was always punctual and very easy to work with. If I ever need a dog walker again, I wouldn't hesitate for a minute to get her back. I would highly recommend her to anyone.”

“Yelena was great with my puppy. She is a high energy lab mix that is usually nervous about meeting new people. She loved Yelena. The communication was always quick and she did everything we asked of her and then some. I highly recommend Yelena and will be requesting her services again if I need any in the future.”

“Jie was super great and super helpful. Highly recommend her for dog walks. My dog came tired from the walk which was very helpful. Thank you so much Jie. Will continue to contact you for more future dog walk for Bruce. Greatful and thankful.”

“Julie is a very responsible and personable person to deal with. She was always on time and very sweet to my pup. She was very accommodating when I was running a few minutes late and it seemed that Olivia looked forward to her walk with Julie every day. I would definitely recommend Julie and I will definitely be using her again in the future.”

“Cannot say enough good things about Kelly. My dog gets SUPER stressed out and scared of humans, so even after Kelly arrived and my dog wouldn’t go near her, she continued to stay even longer than her booking time to try and warm up to her. I felt like my dog was in such good hands, and it meant to much to me that Kelly didn’t just give up immediately. Plus, she communicated with me all throughout the scheduled walk. 10/10 recommend!!”

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement walker.
