“Emily house sat our 3 boys (dogs lol) and did an amazing job! She even left us the cutest physical pictures and sent pictures and updates throughout her stay with them. She is quite literally the best. Already rebooking with her. Thank you Emily!!”

“Alyssa sent pics while I was out of town and Lucci was super content when I got home and Alyssa was highly reliable. It was uneventful and I would absolutely recommend Alyssa and I would have her take care of my pup overnight in the future.”

About: I have taken care of animals my whole life. A few years ago I had the opportunity to work with a pet sitting business which allowed me to gain more experience. I am caring, attentive and want the best for your pet. I currently work part- time so I have lots of flexibility in my schedule. I am available on Tuesday, Wednesday and Saturday. The other days of the week I am available most afternoons and evenings. I will treat your pet with care and respect. Whether a young dog who needs energy and play or a senior that goes at a slower pace, I am there to accommodate accordingly.

“If I could give Nikki more than 5 stars, I would! She took amazing care of Bubbles. Sent a lot of pictures and was easy to communicate with. Nikki went above and beyond taking care of Bubbles, which gave us peace of mind. Nikki is awesome!”

About: I’ve taken care of dogs every kind since I was 10 and I’ve been around them my whole life. I love spending time with animals whether it’s a long walk, a hike, or some snuggles on the couch. I’m currently in college so between me and my partner we are home almost all week. Also available on weekends. Animals will have frequent potty breaks, love, and visitors! I have grass area for potty breaks and long walks we can go on. I’m available to crate any animal at night or have them in bed.
“Paris is an exceptional pet sitter who is caring, playful with our pups, punctual, polite, and trustworthy. We were lucky to find her during our vacation at Myrtle Beach. She even recommended an awesome restaurant!! Don’t hesitate to book with her, she’s the best!”

“Nicole was excellent with our senior dog Eli. She was easy to reschedule with on last minute plans and able to give the extra care and assistance needed by our dog. This included several medicines, specific food/diet instructions, gentle urging with a stubborn corgi to go out, and gentle redirects as our dog gets lost quite a bit. I highly recommend Nicole if you’re looking for a caring and attentive dog sitter (especially so if your dog has more complex needs like mine).”

“Craig was outstanding. I would refer him to one and all. This was a very positive experience for me and my fur babies. If I ever have to leave my pets alone at my new home if Florida. I would send Craig an airline ticket to watch them again. Thank you very much.”

“Jo-Anne is THE BEST! She was very communicative and took time to send thoughtful updates which I really appreciated. In addition to being such a great caregiver to Darla she left my home in immaculate condition which she did not need to do. I look forward to having Jo-Anne back anytime! You will, too.”

Experienced with animals of all sizes and personalities, focused on safe, loving care, walks, playtime, and keeping pet parents updated every step of the way. I follow each pet’s normal routine as closely as possible, including feeding schedules, walks, playtime, medications, and any special instructions.

About: The house I grew up in always had dogs around, we used to train them for shows so I have an idea of how to keep pets safe and out of trouble, I have experience with dogs as tiny as a dachshund and as big as a boston mastiff so i’m prepared for anything. I am currently a student at HGTC working on getting my degree in ultrasound tech. I also work part time at the Applebee’s as a server. While all that seems like a lot I actually do get more free time then I expected and I would love to spend that time watching your pets. I like to treat every animal as if it was my own, giving them the same love and respect I would my pets. Whatever you decide is best for how you would like me to watch your animals is how I will do it, it takes a lot of trust to find a sitter so it’s important to me that I follow any guidelines given.
“Alona took great care of our pets. Communication was great and we returned to our house being even cleaner than when we left it. Definitely recommend her and would have her watch our pets again!”

“Very happy with Stephanie's service! We will definitely ask for her again. My doggo is very tired and happy after a long weekend with her staying with him, and the house looks great! Thank you Stephanie, much appreciated.”

“This was the first time I left Skye who is deaf with someone I didn’t know from Anita‘s reviews, I felt very confident that she would take care of her. Anita sent pictures which I was really super happy to see. When I got home Skye was very happy to see me and felt great that she really took a liking too Anita.. I would definitely recommend and call Anita when I need someone to take care of Skye.”

“This was our very first time utilizing a house/pet sitter and we were quite anxious about having someone stay in our home and taking care of our two pups. It was also our first time using Rover. Tawny and her sister Haylee were absolutely amazing. They provided feedback with pictures throughout each day and followed instructions for feeding and medication just as we asked. Everything was in good order when we got home and we couldn’t be more pleased. Thank you Tawny and Haylee.”

Pet parents share their Rover experiences - Carolina Forest
Cora did a wonderful job taking care of our dog and two cats while we were away. She communicated with us throughout our trip, responded quickly whenever we reached out, and sent photos and updates so we knew how everyone was doing. It gave us great peace of mind knowing our pets were in such caring and reliable hands. We would absolutely recommend Cora and would be happy to have her care for our pets again!

Emily was WONDERFUL with Maddy and Nyjah. She went the extra mile to give them a lot of love and attention and put me at ease. She followed the directions I left and was so communicative with lots of updates. It was so nice to enjoy my trip knowing my babies were well taken care of.

We have two big (amazing) dogs and we can’t have them boarded because one of them gets bad anxiety and gets sick if he’s not home. Anthony was AMAZING with our dogs. Even though sometimes they can be a little intimidating when new people come to the house he came in and was very calm and patient with them and they ended up having so much fun. I am extremely happy with how their time with Anthony went and we will definitely be asking him to dog-sit again soon.

Beyond belly rubs and feeding schedules, a house sitter’s presence may provide an additional layer of security for your home. However, you will need to arrange overnight stays and other household tasks with your sitter when reaching out to them. Not all sitters offer the same services. Common household tasks you can negotiate include:
- Mail & deliveries: Collecting letters and packages so they don't pile up.
- Plant care: Keeping your indoor or outdoor garden hydrated.
- Trash & recycling: Taking trash cans to the curb on scheduled pickup days.
- Home security: Sitters can stay overnight to keep your home occupied.
The best way to align on expectations is during your free Meet & Greet. Use this time to provide a "home cheat sheet" that includes your preferred Carolina Forest walking routes, the location of your favorite pet store, and any specific quirks about your home’s security or appliances.
It’s helpful to think of house sitting as a "home base" service. Most sitters in Carolina Forest maintain their normal daily routines, like running errands or heading to the office, meaning your pet should be comfortable being alone for a few hours at a time. If your pet needs a little extra company, here is how to find the perfect match:
- Look for "WFH" sitters: Many sitters mention "Work from Home" on their profile to indicate they’ll be present for the majority of the day.
- Update your pet’s profile: Write down how long your pet can comfortably be left alone. This helps sitters quickly determine if their schedule aligns with your needs.
- Communicate 24/7 needs: Standard house sitting usually doesn't include constant supervision. If your pet requires round-the-clock care, be sure to discuss this upfront.
Tip: Use the Meet & Greet to confirm a sitter's typical "away" windows. Transparency ensures your pet stays happy and your sitter can plan their day effectively!
Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Carolina Forest choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a lockbox or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
