“Craig was a blessing. He communicated with me the whole time we were gone. Also sent me pictures to Reassure me that are doggie was doing fine. I always worry when we can’t take our dog with us, but by day 2, I was at peace knowing she was in great hands. I am in the process of booking our next dog sitting with Craig. Also he stayed at our house and everything looked great when we came home.”

“Emily was WONDERFUL with Maddy and Nyjah. She went the extra mile to give them a lot of love and attention and put me at ease. She followed the directions I left and was so communicative with lots of updates. It was so nice to enjoy my trip knowing my babies were well taken care of.”

“Our Opal had such a great time with Kat. Lots of updates and photos, which we love while we’re away. Great communication and care for our home as well. Will definitely work with Kat again next time we need to be out of town.”

“Alyssa was a great sitter! You can tell how much she loves animals! Excellent communication and photo updates. The house was spotless when we got home. Would definitely book again! Thank you!”
“Nicole was excellent with our senior dog Eli. She was easy to reschedule with on last minute plans and able to give the extra care and assistance needed by our dog. This included several medicines, specific food/diet instructions, gentle urging with a stubborn corgi to go out, and gentle redirects as our dog gets lost quite a bit. I highly recommend Nicole if you’re looking for a caring and attentive dog sitter (especially so if your dog has more complex needs like mine).”

“Jo-Anne is THE BEST! She was very communicative and took time to send thoughtful updates which I really appreciated. In addition to being such a great caregiver to Darla she left my home in immaculate condition which she did not need to do. I look forward to having Jo-Anne back anytime! You will, too.”

“I cannot say enough good things about Tawny! She went above and beyond while caring for my dogs and home. Taking care of multiple large-breed dogs is no small task, but she handled everything with professionalism, patience, and so much love. My dogs were happy, well-cared for, and clearly comfortable with her. Not only did she ensure their routines were followed perfectly—including feeding, exercise, and playtime—but she also took the time to give them the extra attention and affection they need. She kept me updated with messages, pictures, and videos, which gave me great peace of mind while I was away. On top of caring for my dogs, Tawny also looked after my home as if it were her own. Everything was spotless when I returned, and I could tell she had gone the extra mile to keep things in order. If you’re looking for a responsible, kind, and truly dedicated pet sitter, I wholeheartedly recommend Tawny. She is a gem, and I will absolutely be booking her again in the future!”

“Abigail (Ebbi) was very sweet, patient and kind. She took wonderful care of our 2 dogs at our home while we were out of town. Would definitely recommend her and she’ll put your mind at ease in leaving your fur babies behind. We’ll definitely use her again if the need arises. Thank you so much Ebbi!!😍 Ruby and Joy also thank you! Woof! Woof! 🐾🐾”

“Robert does a wonderful job caring for my dogs while I’m away. I get photos while I’m gone and when I get home it’s like I never left. They get lots of cuddles and play time too!”

“Seth stepped up when our house sitter for the holidays dropped out 5 days before our flight. He was very flexible on our meet and greet and hit it off with Hazel quicky with some treats. Seth provided updates on Hazel during the two weeks we were gone, including videos from the park. He communicated well. During his sit, he identified that Hazel's ears were bothering her and sought out the medicated cleaning wipes we keep on hand. When we got home, the house was clean and Hazel was excited. It was clear she had gotten plenty of attention and exercise.”

“Alona took great care of our pets. Communication was great and we returned to our house being even cleaner than when we left it. Definitely recommend her and would have her watch our pets again!”

“Janelle has been an amazing sitter for my boy, Cargo! My mind is assured that Cargo will be well taken care of when I travel. I appreciate the updates throughout the day ! She is respectful of my home and is very passionate about what she does! Highly recommend!”

“Tiffany was GREAT! My baby was well cared for and given a little extra attention as he gets nervous with fireworks and loud noises (it was over the 4th weekend). He was happy and healthy when we returned and she kept us updated with pics and notes during the weekend. Tiffany was also super respectful of our home and we will absolutely book with her again!”

“Alexis was amazing! Took great care of my two dogs all weekend. Sent me updates with photos. Took them for walks and overall did amazing! Will definitely contact her for the next time I need a dog sitter.”

About: The house I grew up in always had dogs around, we used to train them for shows so I have an idea of how to keep pets safe and out of trouble, I have experience with dogs as tiny as a dachshund and as big as a boston mastiff so i’m prepared for anything. I am currently a student at HGTC working on getting my degree in ultrasound tech. I also work part time at the Applebee’s as a server. While all that seems like a lot I actually do get more free time then I expected and I would love to spend that time watching your pets. I like to treat every animal as if it was my own, giving them the same love and respect I would my pets. Whatever you decide is best for how you would like me to watch your animals is how I will do it, it takes a lot of trust to find a sitter so it’s important to me that I follow any guidelines given.

“We contacted Haley about a week before our trip as our regular sitter backed out at the last minute. We have four dogs so we don’t just trust anyone with our fur babies. At the meet and greet we felt very comfortable with Haley from the get go. One of our dogs, who has extreme anxiety, was immediately on her lap with his tail wagging, which he does not normally do. This made us feel very comfortable with Haley watching our dogs. While we were gone, we received many pictures from Haley and she always let us know when she was leaving the house and they would be alone for a period of time. Knowing that they were well taken care of at home we were able to relax and enjoy our time away. We will definitely hire Haley again to take care of our precious fur babies. We are already getting ready to book her again!”

Pet parents share their Rover experiences - Forestbrook
Best in the business. André is a Rover all-star. You're not going to find a better option for your pet/house sitting needs. He communicates constantly so you don't have to probe for updates or pictures. He confirms receipt and understanding pf messages and instructions promptly. He asks questions when needed. He leaves your place in the same if not better condition. He genuinely gets to know and love your pet. Our doodles LOVE "Uncle André". Having someone so buttoned up and caring gives us peace of mind while traveling. That's really what you're looking for on Rover. Highly recommend André!

Just returned from a 4 day holiday weekend after booking Katie last minute and what a blessing she turned out to be. Katie took care of our home and pets as if they were her own. We have one rescue dog with serious past abuse PTSD, a Husky that requires frequent trips outside (both also requiring special meal instructions and/or medication) and a very shy cat and she was an absolute master. Katie navigated a blown HVAC capacitor tech visit and a power outage due to someone driving into a local neighborhood restaurant and she never complained once. If we could leave a 6th star, we absolutely would. What an amazing human.

Emily provided the best care for our pups! She sent us pictures and little updates each day and even printed a holiday picture of them for our own keepsake. Emily is professional, attentive, communicative, and compassionate. She has a clear love for animals that shines! We look forward to having her back!

The average cost for House Sitting in Forestbrook on Rover is $55.5 per night (as of August 2026). However, all sitters set their own rates based on experience, location, and availability.
Rover makes budgeting the cost of House Sitting easy. As long as your dates and pet profiles are correct, the price you see before you book is the same price you pay for House Sitting. For more information on service fees, click here .

Beyond belly rubs and feeding schedules, a house sitter’s presence may provide an additional layer of security for your home. However, you will need to arrange overnight stays and other household tasks with your sitter when reaching out to them. Not all sitters offer the same services. Common household tasks you can negotiate include:
- Mail & deliveries: Collecting letters and packages so they don't pile up.
- Plant care: Keeping your indoor or outdoor garden hydrated.
- Trash & recycling: Taking trash cans to the curb on scheduled pickup days.
- Home security: Sitters can stay overnight to keep your home occupied.
The best way to align on expectations is during your free Meet & Greet. Use this time to provide a "home cheat sheet" that includes your preferred Forestbrook walking routes, the location of your favorite pet store, and any specific quirks about your home’s security or appliances.
It’s helpful to think of house sitting as a "home base" service. Most sitters in Forestbrook maintain their normal daily routines, like running errands or heading to the office, meaning your pet should be comfortable being alone for a few hours at a time. If your pet needs a little extra company, here is how to find the perfect match:
- Look for "WFH" sitters: Many sitters mention "Work from Home" on their profile to indicate they’ll be present for the majority of the day.
- Update your pet’s profile: Write down how long your pet can comfortably be left alone. This helps sitters quickly determine if their schedule aligns with your needs.
- Communicate 24/7 needs: Standard house sitting usually doesn't include constant supervision. If your pet requires round-the-clock care, be sure to discuss this upfront.
Tip: Use the Meet & Greet to confirm a sitter's typical "away" windows. Transparency ensures your pet stays happy and your sitter can plan their day effectively!
Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Forestbrook choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a lockbox or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Forestbrook. On Rover:
- 97% of sitters can help with special care needs

- 97% can help with daily exercise
You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
