“Amy was great with our dog, Charlie. He suffers from separation anxiety which seems to be getting worse. He wasn't doing well at all in the hotel room so we decided to try a sitter. He was restless his first day, but that was to be expected. By day 2 he was having a great time with her pups! She saved our vacation and Charlie got to have play dates. Win win! Thanks again Amy!”

“Josh and Ashley were fantastic!! They sent me pictures and updated me for the hours my husky was with them. They did exactly what they said, took her in a nice walk and a little beach time too. Their home is lovely, open spaced with their pup, friendly with mine. I reached out to them to request and within minutes they responded to accept care. I would recommend this great couple! I would also reach out to them in the future. They aren't far from the busy part of myrtle and I like their quiet neighborhood. A few blocks away was a nice dog park too.”

“Charles and his family provided wonderful care for my two dogs while I was away. Pictures were sent and messages were promptly answered; easing my worries of not being able to take them with me on my trip.”

“Janice took great care of my dog on our overnight trip. My dog, Addie had a wonderful time playing with the other dogs in her home that weekend. She sent us a video of playtime which was appreciated. I highly recommend Janice for your dog care. This was our first time to book with her and we will be booking again with her.”

“Jody turned out to be the perfect pet sitter for our Maisy! She sent us updates and pictures every day and took her to the dog park to make sure she enjoyed her stay! We had great peace of mind leaving her with Jody and would not hesitate to rebook with her.”

About: I’m a proud momma of two Pit Bulls that I rescued, locally. My passion for Bully breeds started 25 years ago when I adopted my first one and discovered the slobbering kisses that made me a forever fan. Over the last decade I fostered many (over 50) pregnant moms and their babies for local Rescues. I’m available anytime of the day and 7 days a week unless booked or unavailable. I also do not mind last minute drop ins. After my own experience trying to find a sitter for my two pit bulls, I realized that most sitters didn’t accept Pit Bulls and that there was a need for Pittie sitters! I love all breeds and have lots of experience.
“Lauren did a great job babysitting our 10 year old dog Cotton. Cotton got along well with her 2 dogs and seemed happy and content when we picked him up. Lauren was very easy to work with, scheduling drop-off and pick-up at times convenient for us. We will definitely book Lauren again on our next trip away.”

“Bella loved her time with Ilana, Izzy and their dog, Tony! She truly was on vacation while we were !She looked happy, comfortable and totally at ease. Daily pics kept us informed and relieved that she was being well cared for. Thanks again. Deb, Phil and Bella 🐾🐾🐾”

“Very kind and took very good care of my puppy communication was very easy and they were very understanding of traffic and time delays for drop off and pick up will 100% be booking with them again”

“She took care of our fur baby last minute and treated our Zailey like family. She provided updates and photos for the days she had her. I highly recommend Cara! Next time we are in Myrtle Beach we will definitely go to her again! Thanks again Cara 🩷”

“We booked our pups stay for 5 nights with Samantha at the last minute when our original plans fell through. She was prompt with all communications, particularly when we messaged to check in on Toby. She sent several pictures and updates over the course of the stay- cute little videos of him playing with their puppy. She shared her concerns with us when Toby didn't eat well the first couple days, but let us know when his appetite returned. :) The night we picked Toby up we had a flight delay, and they were so kind and accommodating with the change in our plans. Toby was happy to see us and very tired from all his playing. :) Thanks Samantha!”

“Lisa was amazing to work with! I planned to bring my dog with me last minute and she was able to accommodate Myles’ stay. He got plenty of love, walks and playtime and Lisa kept me updated along the way so I could fully enjoy my vacation. If back in the area I will certainly book with Lisa again. Myles’ was sad to leave her!”

“Christina did it again! My Bella gets the best care when I’m out of town. I get frequent updates and pics. I don’t have to worry about whether or not she’s being taken care of. Thank you Christina, for taking such good care of my baby!”

“Daisy was so happy with Khirah- it was hard to get her to leave. ( that’s not common). She had a wonderful time and will definitely ask Khirah and family to care for Daisy next time I’m at Myrtle Beach. Daisy says thank you for the mini vacation. ?”

“Alivia was great! This was our first time using Rover and were thrilled with how wonderful she was with our dog Bella. She kept us updated and sent us lots of pictures. Bella looked like she was having lots of fun during her stay and she came home tired out from all the excitement. I will definitely be booking with Alicia again.”

“This was our first time to have Donna watch our dog. We definitely will use her again. Our dog, Pawley, had his own summer vacation while we were gone. We received daily updates with videos and photos. You can tell that Donna and her husband love dogs!”

Sandi took wonderful care of my dog the entire week I was on vacation. She kept me updated while he made lots of friends during his stay. I could tell from the moment I met Sandi that she is a wonderful “dog person” and that my pup was in great hands. Thank you Sandi!

Sydnee was great! Our dog loved her and hated to leave. She was very responsive and able to extend the visit by a day, totally unexpected. Sydnee was also able to change our dates to the following week, when there was a change in plans (my hospital admission was pushed back by 1 wk) We plan to use her again, when they times comes.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in SC ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies. Cats may be required to have Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis and Rabies up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a board-certified veterinarian or offer other resources to help.
If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s reservation protection means our team will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
