“We are so happy to have found you, Maegan! Lola loves her stays with you and your family! She’s well loved & cared for and she really enjoys playing with your pups and receiving so much attention. We highly recommend your service! Thanks!!! 😊”

“So good. My dog sometimes comes home pretty stressed, no fault of other boarders. But with Allie he was part of a great group of peaceful dogs and came home very relaxed. Great communication throughout his stay. Very good experience.”

“Hilary took such great care of our girl! Sadie has a lot of quirks and takes time to warm up and Hilary was patient and understanding. I had a lot of peace of mind while we were away on our trip knowing she was well taken care of!”

“This was Lily's second stay with Gabrielle and her family. Lily clearly feels at home there and has a great time with the kids and other dogs. And I know she gets extra cuddles from Gabrielle. This is our 'go to' dog hotel for sure!”

“Olivia was wonderful and took such great care of Laci. She accepted the booking request pretty last minute and was very accommodating. She sent photos and a video of my dog and I felt very comfortable leaving Laci in her care. I would definitely recommend her and would use her again in the future. Laci had a great time!”

“This was our first experience using Rover and Kate was the perfect fit for our dog Rio! She kept us posted while we were on vacation with pics and videos of the dogs playing, relaxing and exercising! Rio enjoyed his vacation as much as we did!”
“I had the pleasure of using Raquel's dog boarding service, and I couldn't be more satisfied with the experience! From the moment we dropped off our dog, we felt at ease knowing she would be in such caring and capable hands. Raquel was incredibly attentive, sending us updates and photos throughout our dog's stay, which really put our minds at rest. Her home is welcoming, with plenty of space for dogs to play and relax, including a large fenced-in yard that’s absolutely beautiful. Our dog had so much fun running and playing with Raquel's two I'm two boys. She came home happy, healthy, and well-cared-for, and we could tell she had a great time. I highly recommend Raquel's dog boarding service to anyone looking for a safe, loving environment for their pets!”

“Lara took wonderful care of our little Teddy! He got plenty of attention and loving from her and her sweet children. I appreciated that she sent pictures and texts to let me know that he was adjusting and doing well!”

“Kim is the BEST sitter I’ve ever had. My dog can get separation anxiety when I leave, but Kim provided the most personable, loving and fun environment that Bella enjoyed thoroughly. She sent the most adorable photos to assure me that my little princess was thriving with Kim and her sweet family! I would recommend her 10 times over.”

“Ollie had a great stay with Yueqian and her family. I knew how great a time Ollie had when I saw how much she didn’t want to go home with me. Will definitely trust Yueqian again with Ollie in the future.”

“Savannah did a wonderful job of watching our very enthusiastic 10 month pittie mix, Minnie, for a week while we were visiting some friends! It was our first time leaving her with a sitter overnight, and Savannah did a wonderful job making Minnie feel right at home. She sent lots of great photos that showed just how much our pup was enjoying her time, and she was very communicative with any questions we had throughout the process.”

“Drop off and pick up easy and flexible. Enjoyed photos and video of my fur babies. The babies seemed happy and healthy. They were exhausted which is always a good sign. I'd definitely use Danielle again.”

“Mia was amazing with my anxious dog Reya! She was very communicative, took great care of her, and sent me lots of pictures and videos throughout her stay. Would recommend Mia to anyone!”

About: Before I had kids I use to work at a dog hotel/daycare for a year. I took care of various types and sizes of dogs and did everything from administering medicine to just letting them out to go potty etc. I love dogs and have grown up with them my whole life. I can check on your pets almost any time with notice and unless they’re at school (hybrid homeschool) my kids would have to come with. I’m a full time solo mom to 3 kids. Over night stays will be best at my house. I have a 9 month old golden retriever that’s up to date on vaccines. I know how stressful it can be when you need someone to take care of your pets and I want to help ease your worries. I can manage whatever specific needs you have for your pet. I will spend time with them and give them the same love and care I give to my own dogs.
“Helena and her husband were wonderful to work with - kind and extremely flexible with drop off and pick up times. They live in a very nice community with lots of places for shady walks. Buddy had his own loveseat by the front door which he could lay on and look outside or at Helena and her husband in the kitchen or sitting room of their open plan home. I received regular updates and photos of Buddy in what really was a home away from home. From the initial meeting when I went to drop Buddy off, I knew he was in great hands. I would definitely have Buddy stay with Helena again and recommend her to anyone looking for an attentive loving couple to take care of you ‘fur baby’!!”

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in NC ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies. Cats may be required to have Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis and Rabies up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a board-certified veterinarian or offer other resources to help.
If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s reservation protection means our team will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
