If I could leave more stars I would, I can not recommend Kyle enough! Our pups stayed for a week and had a blast. Kyle kept in contact with updates, brought them to see us (we were local to a fun spot for them to try the beach out), and he took wonderful care of our puppies. If you need a sitter in the area, I would definitely recommend going with Kyle!

Stephanie was fantastic!! Soooo communicative, flexible and sent photos of the pups everyday. They came back in such a better state of mind than when we have boarded them at traditional kennels. Will definitely be using her services again! 🐾

Valeria was absolutely awesome with our fur baby! We could not have gotten a better sitter for Luna's first overnight away from home since being rescued! The yard was amazing and Valerie provided the very best of care for a very nervous pup!

Took care of my baby leaving me with no worries at all! She was great about keeping me updated with pictures! I loved that my baby got to play with her doggo and have fun adventures. She also took the time and effort to brush and bathe my baby. This was my first time using Rover and she convinced me to continue using this app and her when looking for a dog sitter! All round great experience above my expectations

I had the pleasure of using Raquel's dog boarding service, and I couldn't be more satisfied with the experience! From the moment we dropped off our dog, we felt at ease knowing she would be in such caring and capable hands. Raquel was incredibly attentive, sending us updates and photos throughout our dog's stay, which really put our minds at rest. Her home is welcoming, with plenty of space for dogs to play and relax, including a large fenced-in yard that’s absolutely beautiful. Our dog had so much fun running and playing with Raquel's two I'm two boys. She came home happy, healthy, and well-cared-for, and we could tell she had a great time. I highly recommend Raquel's dog boarding service to anyone looking for a safe, loving environment for their pets!

Steven and his family were amazing with my pup. We are new to the area and have never left our dog overnight with a “stranger”. Steven and his family treated him like family and sent us updates as well as photos on the regular to make us feel more at ease. I’d say Kado enjoyed himself too, and was so wore out with all the stimulation and fun, that he slept for almost 2 days! Will definitely be using Steven for future stays and would 10/10 recommend.

About: You can trust me to take excellent care of your pet! As well as owning my own pets most of my life (dogs, cats, ferret, bird, rabbits, etc.), I also have a Bachelor of Science degree in pre-veterinary medicine. I have pet-sat for several friends and clients, volunteered at shelters, worked at veterinary clinics, boarding facilities, and for a professional dog walking / cat sitting company. You can rest easy as your pet will be safe in my care. I follow directions well and get the details right! Why I love dog walking and sitting: I have been a dog lover since the day I was born. My first dog, Chief, helped raise me! Since then, I have owned a dog most of my life. Some have called me the "dog-whisperer". I have a pretty good perception of dogs and connect very easily with most. My last dog, Wendell, was a 150 lb. mastiff whom I adopted when he was 4.5 years old. He had never been socialized and was scared of most people, so in the six years we were together, I gained a lot of first-hand experience working through behavioral issues in a very large and strong breed. Our current dog is Lucy, a happy-go-lucky bull terrier who is deaf. She loves every living being! I’m also comfortable taking care of cats and other pets. My experience administering medication: I've given lots of oral meds and various ointments, eye drops, ear drops, etc. My schedule is pretty flexible. I’m typically available any day of the week and can do early mornings and late evenings if needed. Let me know your needs and I will do my best to accommodate! ONE DOG FAMILY AT A TIME Boarding and Doggie Day Care: It will only be your dog(s) and our one dog staying at our house. We have a secure, fenced yard, a doggie door, and a covered back patio with doggie beds perfect for lounging in the sun or shade. Our friendly bull terrier, Lucy, will happily keep your dog company! We can easily keep your dog in a separate room while we are away from the house if you prefer. Lucy’s dad/my significant other, Pedro, also lives here and also loves animals.

Laura is as exceptional with our dogs. Extremely responsive, sent lots of pictures and I could tell that our dogs were calm and comfortable with her. She made sure to have a meet and greet first and made sure all dogs were comfortable and a good fit. I would highly recommend Laura to anyone needing some peace of mind for their pets while they go out of town. Not only that, she helped one of our fast eaters find a better bowl. Completely above and beyond!!! Thank you laura.

Robert was great! My dogs were tired and happy when picked up. Robert sent updates with photos and confirmed meal times. I had some things pop up that made my drop off/pick up time different than originally planned and Robert was very accommodating and easy to coordinate with. I'll use Robert again next time I'm in the Wilmington/CB area!

Whether you’re planning ahead for holidays, need last-minute care, or need same-day coverage for an urgent trip, you can message multiple sitters at once to find available care.

Once you find the right match, you can arrange a Meet & Greet to ensure they are a perfect fit for your pet’s personality before confirming.

You can message your sitter at any time through the app and our support team is available 24/7 by email or chat if you have concerns.

The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.

Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .

While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.

Many sitters in NC ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies. Cats may be required to have Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis and Rabies up to date.

By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.

Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a board-certified veterinarian or offer other resources to help.

If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s reservation protection means our team will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
