About: I have a passion so deep for all animals and I have been riding horses ever since I was young so my experience is a little more advanced since I have been around many different animals. I work at a restaurant a couple days a week but short shifts so I have time on my hands. I also exercise and walk a lot so walking dogs would fit perfectly. I care for animals with patience and kinds. I don’t believe any animal deserves a tough life and bad care and I want to love on every single one.

Andrea is great! I never worry about my boys when they are with her family. She is super flexible and incredibly helpful. We left the boys with her while we moved homes and I had no concerns about their safety or well being. Strongly recommend her. =)

About: I’ve loved animals my entire life. Growing up, our family always had dogs and cats, and as an adult, I’ve had the privilege of caring for two blind rescue dogs, as well as my current lovable 16-pound Aussiedoodle, Zoey. Zoey lives with me and gets along well with other dogs. For the past 2½ years, I’ve owned and operated a dog-walking and cat-care business, caring for a variety of neighborhood pets. My experience includes three 19-year-old cats, two medium and large Doodles, a Dachshund I’ve cared for since he was just 10 weeks old, and dogs of many different mixed breeds, ages, and personalities. My approach is to always let the animal lead. Both of my rescue dogs came from very difficult circumstances, and I learned how important patience, trust, and a sense of safety are. Rather than expecting an animal to immediately feel comfortable with me, I give them the time and space they need to open up on their own. With a calm, loving, and safe environment, that trust usually begins to develop naturally. I’m especially comfortable with animals who may be shy, fearful, cautious, or unsure of strangers. I take a very gentle approach, allowing them to get to know me at their own pace. Once they feel safe and comfortable, that’s when the magic unfolds! I’m happy to follow your dog’s normal routine, whether that means sleeping in a crate at night or curling up on the bed. I live in a first-floor apartment facing a nice open green space, which makes it easy to provide frequent potty breaks and neighborhood walks. With pet-parent permission, it’s my norm to send daily updates and photos so you can see how your pet is doing while you’re away. I’m also comfortable administering medications and handling foods that require refrigeration or freezing. My schedule is fairly flexible, and I do my best to accommodate each pet’s individual routine and needs. Just let me know what works best for you and your pet! I am currently retired so I am home most of the day/night. I live with my 16 lb non-shedding Aussie doogle dog, Zoey. I may step out to run errands, go to an appointment, other, but am otherwise at home. I allow dogs to sleep on my bed or stay in a crate at night, per pet parents wishes. If you are traveling and require a pick up after 6 pm just let me know so we can work something out. I live in an apartment on the first floor, so I have easy access to let dogs out for potty breaks as I face an open green space. I live in a safe community with plenty of sidewalks and street lighting. I often walk my dog clients in the morning when it is cool outside, so they can get adequate exercise. On rainy days, I like to occupy your pet with tug-o-war, or a treat-kong, or playing with other toys. Please feel free to bring your dog's favorite toys.

Our girls love being with Kate, her husband Quinn, and her dog Lucy. We received multiple pictures of them going on long walks and runs off leash in a safe environment, zonked out on the floor of the living room after a day of play, and getting love and pets from Quinn. We feel very comfortable having our two stay with Kate and would recommend it to all.

Jennifer was wonderful from the moment we reached out to see if she was available to watch Clark. She responded quickly, took the time to ask about his care needs, and genuinely wanted to know how she could best support him during his stay. From the very beginning, she gave us confidence that he would be in excellent hands. When we dropped Clark off, Jennifer was warm, welcoming, and made sure we felt completely at ease. She kept her promise by sending regular updates and photos throughout his stay, which gave us tremendous peace of mind. It was clear that she treated Clark like one of her own and made him feel right at home. Jennifer truly followed through on everything she said she would do, and we could tell Clark had a wonderful time with her. We highly recommend Jennifer to anyone looking for a trustworthy, caring, and dependable sitter who communicates exceptionally well and provides outstanding care.

About: Dogs have been part of my life for as long as I can remember. I’ve cared for everything from energetic puppies and rescue dogs to senior dogs needing specialized attention, including my 16-year-old diabetic beagle who required daily medication, monitoring, and lots of extra love and patience. In my home, dogs are family. They’re welcome on the furniture, get plenty of affection, and are treated like part of the pack. Your pup will have lots of supervision, attention, potty breaks, playtime, and cuddles throughout the day. My community also has a dog park where dogs can safely run around and burn off energy. Whether your dog needs overnight care, walks, drop-in visits, or just a comfortable home away from home, I’ll make sure they feel safe, loved, and well cared for. I work only part time on a flexible schedule, which means your pup will have lots of supervision, attention, potty breaks, playtime, and cuddles throughout the day. My community also has a dog park where dogs can safely run around and burn off energy. My community has a dog park where dogs can safely run around and burn off energy. About: Growing up we had both dogs and cats in the house. As soon as I had an apartment that allowed dogs, I adopted my sweet and sassy pup snoopy. Over the years his mobility declined and I gained insight in how to care for an elderly pup including administering shots, and oral medication. Last year my fiancé and I adopted our sweet girl Betty. She tested us as a puppy, and provided an opportunity to learn about training a dog with a different personality from my first pup. I work as an RN Monday- Thursday and my fiancé works from home Monday- Friday. We live in a first floor apartment with a walk out patio. Our complex also has a dog park and plenty of space for long walks. We are a nonsmoking home with no children; just Betty and she is very friendly with other dogs. I recently relocated to the Cary area for work, but my new job does not start until mid October! Prior to the move, I was a full time student and working on Rover. My schedule is pretty open to care for your pets! I am familiar with different harnesses and the importance of leashing dogs when out and about. My apartment has several fenced dog areas and lots of outdoor walking space!

If Parker could talk he would have nothing but good things to say about Kim and her "team" aka her kids. In every picture Kim shared with us during Parker's stay he was smiling. Better yet, he came home happy & tired. Kim's home was well outfitted for his visit and clean. Her home is close to a park and Parker enjoyed frequent visits and walks. Parker is looking forward to visiting again and I would highly recommend Kim to others.

Jay is amazing! He hosted our attention-needing, couch-loving golden retriever for a week — and to say our pup settled in is an understatement. Every photo Jay sent had us laughing out loud because it was obvious Gus thought he owned the house. Jay not only provided Gus with a loving home, he also gave him good walks while keeping us updated on all the happenings. We absolutely recommend Jay if you’re in the Wrightsville/Carolina Beach area and looking for a great and comfortable home for your pets!

About: Having grown up on a farm, I have been around animals all my life. Currently, I live behind the university with my two cavaliers on a little less than an acre. My two are wonderful with other dogs and looking for some playmates. My fenced-in backyard makes for the perfect playground, and your dogs will be free to come and go as they please from inside to the fenced in area. I have boarded as many as 4 dogs at one time and have cared for senior dogs (18+). Reach out for information on boarding opportunities and/or for additional details. I am here full-time and available currently for boarding any time of the day as well as on weekends. I maintain full care of my two, so the more, the merrier! I have a fenced-in backyard that allows for safe and carefree playtime. My two dogs are very friendly and are sure to make for excellent playmates.

There are 392 sitters on Rover for Pet Boarding in Leland. About 91% of Leland sitters can respond to requests in under 60 minutes. Whether you’re planning ahead for holidays, need last-minute care, or need same-day coverage for an urgent trip, you can message multiple sitters at once to find available care.

Once you find the right match, you can arrange a Meet & Greet to ensure they are a perfect fit for your pet’s personality before confirming.

If you would like updates while you’re away, you can discuss with your sitter how many or how frequent you’d like those updates to be. The Rover app allows sitters to send photos, videos, and messages about your pet, including how many pee or poop breaks occurred. You can message your sitter at any time through the app and our support team is available 24/7 by email or chat if you have concerns.

The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.

Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .

While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.

Many sitters in NC ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies. Cats may be required to have Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis and Rabies up to date.

By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.

Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a board-certified veterinarian or offer other resources to help.

If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s reservation protection means our team will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
