About: In addition to petsitting for 10+ years, I have been a proud dog parent for more than 5 years. Due to unforeseen circumstances within a breakup, I no longer have dogs, and miss them desperately. I would love to care for your dogs as if they are my own! I work remotely and have a flexible schedule. I'm very active, and I'd happily take your pups on walks and hikes with me if they're into that kind of thing. I will care for your dogs as if they were my own. I love to play, cuddle, and meet their needs - whatever those might be. I have experience with puppies, administering medication, and caring for all types of dogs, especially those with quirky personalities.

“Ashley was absolutely amazing! I have 3 kitties who are very high maintenance (age, behavior, etc.) and she handled them totally amazingly. They were in great hands and I felt very reassured, if you’re looking for a pet sitter, this is your person!”

About: Hello, I’m a huge animal lover! I’ve been training my golden retriever for more than 4 years and raised my adopted cat with love and care. I have many experience working with dogs and cats of all temperaments and understanding their needs. Looking forward to meeting lovely furry friends! I’m currently a student and also work part-time with a flexible schedule, so I have plenty of time and energy to dedicate to your pup! I genuinely love spending time with animals and always make sure they get the attention, care, and playtime they need. Your pet’s safety and comfort are always my top priorities. I’m happy to follow any special instructions to keep your dog or cat feeling safe and cared for in their own home. Whether I’m stopping by for a quick check-in or a longer visit, I treat every pet like family and provide a calm, loving presence they can trust.

“We have a very shy and anxious cat but Yelena was wonderful with her! She was able to get her to come out of hiding and she took great care of her! I’ll definitely be reaching out again next time we need a cat sitter”

“Abigail is terrific with our puppy Tiller. She knows and understands dogs and obviously they have been and will be part of her life - she loves them. She is able to command a rambunctious puppy as well as have fun with him. She’s responsible, responsive, on time, flexible and available. Abigail gets a five plus plus plus in a five star rating.”

About: I’ve lived with and taken care of all kinds of pets my entire life. I have been pet sitting for others for about 12 years and have experience with dogs of all sizes, cats, hamsters, turtles and fish, birds, and lizards. I take pride in making sure any pet I care for is loved and treated as if it were my own fur baby. I’m currently a college student at UVM, working a part time grocery store job on the weekdays and part time at the mall on weekends. However, I will have plenty of time in the mornings and evenings. I have 3 giant dogs at my home in Ohio, so I have plenty of experience dealing with big fluffy giants. I currently live in an apartment in Burlington with a roommate (who is also an animal lover). All of the families I’ve pet sat for can vouch that I am very responsible, trustworthy, and communicative. I truly enjoy being around animals and I make it a goal to show them all the love I can while their families are away. This includes but is not limited to, daily walks, lots of playtime, bathing, and plenty of attention.

About: While life's circumstances have never permitted me to cohabitate with a dog-friend of my own, I have loved dogs since I was a kid. I am lucky to work in a relatively dog-friendly establishment and my interactions with the amazing dogs of Burlington are often the highlights of my day. As an avid walker and adventurer, I love spending time exploring nature and neighborhoods with a canine companion. Ten times out of ten, it's a more beautiful and rewarding experience than walking with headphones in. I hope to one day live in an apartment or house that allows me to invite a full-time dog companion into my life, but until then I am more than happy with the opportunity to assist in the care and well-being of the dogs in my surrounding area. Please don't tell my cat (Martin) that I've said any of this! Currently, I mostly work weekday mornings. My afternoons usually consist of studying, reading, running errands, and exercising/meditating. What is so great about this schedule is that it is very flexible. I am usually free of obligations by noon and can design my own schedule for the day from there. I put a lot of mental and emotional energy into creating a comfortable and stable environment for animals. In my own home, which we humbly share with our cat, we keep a consistent feeding schedule and we play with buddy at least once every day. I try to be receptive and calm in the presence of any animal and to respect their desires and well-being while also trying to maintain order and consistency. I find that sometimes animal care just means sitting quietly in a room with a pet and, when the occasion calls for it, I'm happy just to be there as company. And, of course, I am equally happy to assist in "getting the ya-ya's out."

About: My family fostered dogs from 2nd grade to my junior year of high school, and I was very involved in the training and care of said fosters. When fostering, we often had 2-3 of our own dogs in the household that I also helped take care of. We helped a large variety of dogs find new homes, from puppies to seniors, from sweethearts to hair-triggers. Every single dog that came to our home left healthier, happier, and much better trained. I’m currently working part-time with a very flexible schedule. During the week I’ll often be at work sometime between 2:30-5:30pm, and I will have occasional obligations on Wednesdays. Other than that, I work event security. These events are normally later at night, and I am not required to take any shifts offered. If I am pet/housesitting for you and a security shift conflicts with it somehow, I will be happy to drop the shift (or not take it in the first place, depending on the timing). I am well versed in what dogs can and cannot eat. I find it quite easy to tell when they need to go potty, but err on the side of caution anyways with frequent potty breaks. I will not be overzealous with treats or food, following whatever instructions are provided to me.

About: I have done a dog sitting and dog walking for a pit bull mix in town. He receives multiple walks, including one extra long walk, and was fed on schedule. My classes are starting August 25th! :) M/W/F I'll have availability from 12p- 4:30p. Feel free to ask about Tuesday and Thursday availability, but I will be busiest those days finishing my senior year :) I like to discuss in depth the expectation of care for each pet I check on. I enjoy knowing where items are and what routines exist so I can help be consistent for everyone.

About: Hello! My name is Wren and I'm a college student with a summer internship in DC. I have been fostering dogs and puppies since I was 5 years old. I also have multiple years of pet-sitting experience (both dogs and cats), and I had two dogs and a cat growing up that I was partially responsible for until I graduated from high school. I am an active individual and I love to go on walks and runs. Currently I am available during the day on Fridays and at night the rest of the week. I will have more availability in May because I will not have started my next internship so I will be free every day. In June I am available before and after my 9-5 job and a longer-term pet-sitting option would be my preference. I do not currently have a place to offer for boarding, but I can assure you that I will comply with all house and Rover rules, as well as respect your pet/space and keep it clean.

About: I have been pet sitting and walking dogs for over 12 years in addition to caring for my family’s dog most of my life. I have volunteered at humane societies caring for both cats and dogs and love nothing more than spending time with animals. In my professional life I have also conducted wildlife research involving bats, wolves and bison, so I am knowledgeable about animal behavior and outdoor safety. I am responsible, organized and passionate about caring for pets. I love to walk every day and bringing a dog friend with me makes the experience even better. I have experience with large and small dogs of all ages. I am mindful that not all dogs get along and take precautions to keep the dog I’m walking and other dogs safe and happy on their walk. I pet sit elderly animals and am able to accommodate special needs such as special feeding routines, letting dogs outside frequently and giving medication to animals. Making sure the pets I am responsible for are comfortable and safe is my top priority. I’m currently a grad student in plant biology at UVM. My availability depends on my class schedule but I am available for afternoon and evening walks, check-ins and house sitting most weekdays days and weekends. I am hoping to dog walk and sit to save up for my tuition and living expenses. I love going on daily walks and bringing a dog with me makes it all the better. As I mentioned, making sure the pets I am responsible for are comfortable and safe is my top priority. I value communication with pet owners and ensure that they are updated and informed about what is going on. While pet sitting I make sure to set aside sufficient time to walk and play with dogs, feed them at their regular time and let them outside when necessary. I will take animals’ regular routines into consideration and give food, water, change litter boxes and provide play time as necessary.

Elizabeth R.
“liddy is not only a great dog sitter for our 45 lb “super mutt” buddy — she is buddy’s favorite, and he’s hard to please!!! buddy is a rescue and has some trust issues to the point where my husband and i are nervous to introduce him to new dog sitters, but he and liddy hit it off from the minute she parked in our driveway — he even ran out to greet her without having met her before. that loving didn’t seem to stop all weekend — every photo we got was of the two of them on amazing hikes or cuddling watching tv together. liddy is super communicative with the humans, too, before and during sitting. buddy needs daily meds and she was able to make sure he took them (a feat in itself), and in every photo his water bowl was full and he looked so content. and when we came home he she went above and beyond in every way, and we couldn’t have been happier with liddy watching buddy. highly recommend!”

Sean H.
“Can't imagine somebody I trust more with my two (psychotic) dogs than Sean! Very sweet and patient when chaos reigns supreme, but also excellent at steadying the ship whenever possible. Great with the dogs, which of course is what matters most, but also great at not making you feel awful about however your dogs are. And that's important too! Sincerely and very highly recommend reaching out to Sean to look after + walk your pups. Everybody wins.”

Finn W.
“Finn has extensive experience with dog care, including fostering. He is kind yet firm, and takes care if all a imals in his care. And they respind well to him, even new fosters that don't always respond well to others. I would highly recommend him as he is extremely responsible as well.”

AURORA C.
“Always took great care of our cat Thor! He was always well fed and played with, we never had to worry about whether he was getting enough attention. We would always get regular photo updates as well!”

Wren T.
“Wren is an exceptional pet and house sitter. She is conscientious, professional and very responsible. She communicates any concerns clearly, asks questions, and follows all of our requests to the letter. She kept our place clean and respected our space. Most importantly, she is confident and competent with our pets. The proof is in the wags she gets when she comes to our home. Even our shy cat shows her affection when she arrives. Wren has been flexible in the past when our plans changed last minute, which was very helpful when we were in a pinch. I would hire her again in a second - you should too.”

Emma S.

“Emma was amazing, she wrote a great report on how the day went and met my dogs needs. Would definitely recommend her.”

Annie N.
“Annie has spent the entirety of her life in the company of dogs. Caring for them, walking them, feeding them, observing them and generally being a best friend to them. Be it her own dogs, of dogs of friends and acquaintances, Annie has taken a keen interest in their well-being. Her encyclopedic knowledge of dog breeds, the capability to identify and pronounce the names of the common and the exotic, is nothing short of astonishing. I can't recommend highly enough the qualifications Annie has to be a responsible and loving dog caregiver. She has proven this repetitively over the course of her life.”
