“Elaine has been watching our special needs dog for several years. She is incredibly reliable, nurturing, and attentive. Hugo loves being in her home and we love knowing that he is receiving good care. We would highly recommend Elaine to others seeking care for their pups!”

“Pepper had another wonderful stay with Luba and James. They always take such amazing care of her. We can enjoy our vacation knowing that she is safe, happy, and loved while in their care.”

“Ahhhmazing!!! Michelle will absolutely be our go to dog sitter! Oliver is still a puppy so he is high energy and still working on his potty training. This was our first time using rover and his first time away from us. Michelle took care of him above and beyond our expectations! She sent us model pictures of him daily (much better than he lets us take of him, so we have new profile pics of him, lol!) She provided daily updates with the pics too, all of which gave us complete peace of mind! We couldn’t have had a better experience and that made our vacation that much more relaxing. We are extremely thankful to Michelle for treating Oliver like her own! 😊”

“Kacie is always spectacular in her care for Juno, and keeping us up to date on their adventures. I had scattered business travel across three weeks, and she was extremely flexible and resilient. She would max-out a 10-Star scale.”

“My first experience with Rover and Kelly and Maurice were awesome with my new puppy. They made sure we both were comfortable and had outstanding communication. My baby loved it there. I wondered if he would even want to come home. Thank you so much for the wonderful hospitality.”

“Bailey was amazing. I spent a lot of my life overseas, so, my two pups are my world. She would send pictures everyday of them in the park and playing. When I picked them up I could easily tell they had been treated well and were happy. Bowie and Harley (two Germans Shepherds) had no tummy issues, I know they weren't stressed and felt safe. Will definitely be reaching out to Bailey again the next time I need for someone to hang out with the girls. Thank you again Bailey!”

“Ciarra was absolutely wonderful! She is the first dogsitter I have ever had which made me super skeptical, but when we had our meet & greet my dog Lily and her sweet Toby got along so well! She sent me pictures the entire time and kept telling me how well behaved Lily was! I am already using her again in a couple weeks and you definitely should too, 10/10 recommend! And she gave us a bag with sweet toys and cute polaroid pictures! Best experience!”

“Mady and her family were the best! My pup enjoyed walks, a large backyard to run around in, and the company of dog playmates. Mady consistently sent pictures and updates. I highly recommend Mady’s services, and will be rebooking with her again!”

“Tanya was excellent with my girl Xena. Xena takes some time to warm up to people, and Tanya was excellent making sure she was comfortable in her home while she adjusted. Tanya gave me regular photo and video updates while I was away, I had no worries, and knew she was in excellent hands. 110% would use Tanya again for boarding.”

“Our pup, Luna, always has a great time with Andy, Lydia, and their dog, Luna. Andy sends regular updates with photos so we know our doggie is well taken care of and having a fun time with her new doggie friends.”

“My fur baby had an amazing time with Crystal. She sent me pictures or videos everyday. I felt reassured that he was being taken care of. I plan on booking Bailey again with her soon. Excellent sitter and so knowledgeable about dogs.”

“Our pets felt right at home with Janice and Stalio. They were so welcoming, helpful and accommodating with our boys. They kept us up to date daily with pictures and messages and even helped us out with making them their food because we miscounted the amount we sent. They provided amazing care and we look forward to rebooking with them in the future.”

“Beth was awesome with Bailey! Bailey is an older gal, and gets a bit stressed with change but Beth was very patient with her and Bailey settled down nicely during her stay. The video of Bailey wagging her tail and playing around proved such. Thank you, Beth, for taking such good care of her!”
“Sari did an amazing job with Rusty! From the drop off I could tell she was incredibly attentive to his needs and getting him comfortable in her home. She did an excellent job keeping us updated throughout his stay. If your dog loves long walks, you MUST book Sari. She said over his 4 day stay, she walked him at least 18 miles. He came back happy and relaxed.”

“Sarah was amazing! She and her family took great care of our fur baby, and kept us updated the entire weekend. She sent lots of photos and was very responsive to my messages/questions. We highly recommend Sarah!!!!”

About: Hi there! My name is Stacia and I’ve taken care of animals my whole life. I am a dog owner too! Remi is a 2 years old, playful, dark yellow lab. He is fixed. I’m familiar with ensuring the environment is right for your dog. I previously owned a dog with high anxiety and wasn’t friendly with strangers. I understand the importance of making sure your guidelines for your pet are followed. I can give oral medications, follow your training rules, walk large dogs, handle dogs that aren’t friendly with strangers, high anxiety, and have disabilities (ex. Deaf, blind). These dogs are our best friends so I promise to take great care of yours :) If you have any additional questions for me, please don’t hesitate to ask. I am happy to chat or meet prior to booking to ensure I am a good fit for your pup! I believe in open communication to ensure the safety of you, your pet, me and mine. I work fully remote and am able to support daycare and boarding. I usually walk my dog morning, mid day and evening for 30 min to an hour at a time. I’d like to be able to support other people who need assistance. During the week your dog won’t be left alone for more than an hour depending on drop off and pick up time. During the weekend your dog won’t be left longer than 3-4 hours depending. We can always communicate your dogs specific needs to accommodate! I have a fenced yard in our home and a friendly, playful 2 year old male lab (fixed). If your dog is in my home, they do need to be friendly with other dogs. This is to ensure the safety of my dog and if I am boarding or hosting daycare for another dog. During the week I do work full time so there are times where I am in meetings so it is preferred your dog is not destructive, okay without supervision, or is okay in a crate or enclosed room. I communicate my anticipated work schedule and plan for the day with the pet owner.
“OMG! Marta is awesome. Prince enjoyed his time with Marta and Lucas. Marta sent pictures and updates on Prince every morning and every evening. Prince came back home well rested and relaxed and ready to go some more. I highly recommend Marta to take care of your fur baby. Marta is sensational, wonderful spirit and personality.”

“I couldn't be happier! Their communication was excellent, with regular updates and a genuine understanding of my dog's needs. My pup came home happy and well-cared for; I highly recommend their services! 🌟🐾”

Pet parents share their Rover experiences - Annapolis
Elaine was fantastic. This was the first time we have used Rover for our pups and it could not have gone any better. She watched our guys during our long vacation and the pups loved her. She gave them lots of love, and spoil them rotten. It was so nice knowing that she also had a fenced in yard where they could go out and play and do their business. She sent us updates and pictures daily and it made us feel so at ease. Thank you again Elaine for everything.

Melissa was amazing with Ollie! He just turned 1, so he has TONS of energy, and being a Golden Retriever, he loves putting everything in his mouth. She was so sweet and even gave him old towels to play with because she knew it made him happy. We loved getting updates every morning and evening, and she was so accommodating with all of Ollie’s quirks including his obsession with water and getting it EVERYWHERE. Her dog Tanner also loved having Ollie around! I was definitely anxious leaving my baby, but Melissa took such great care of him and made me feel completely comfortable. Ollie will be back to board with her again in a few weeks, and I’m so happy we found her!

Kaci took care of my dog when I went on vacation and it was great! She kept me updated on my dog the entire time and kept her very active. It was such a relief to know that my dog was being cared of by someone who clearly has a lot of love for animals and is trustworthy and responsible. We will definitely have our dog stay with Kaci in the future.

Andy was really great with Sherlock. I appreciated his methods to introduce Sherlock to the other dogs recognizing dogs have different personalities and needs. Andy provided daily photos and updates on how things were going which put my mind at ease. I could see Sherlock was being well taken care of and was having a good time. Andy clearly loves dogs and I would have him watch my dog again and recommend him to others.

Katie made Rosie feel right at home right away. Rosie has always been a bit slow to come around. She sent plenty of photos and videos and was very responsive. She even responded within minutes after we had picked up Rosie when I accidentally called her. She genuinely has a caring heart. Definitely recommend her.
Margriet was an amazing sitter for Asher! She was available last minute and was the best choice we could have found in Annapolis. She was super communicative, responded quick, sent updates and cute pictures of our pup, and was flexible! Highly recommend Margriet and will be using her any time Im back in Annapolis :)

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in MD ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies. Cats may be required to have Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis and Rabies up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a board-certified veterinarian or offer other resources to help.
If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s reservation protection means our team will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
