Pet care experience

The sidekick sitter!

I am a high school assistant principal with a 21 month old. I have been around dogs my whole life. I know first hand that a dog is an important part of the family and I care for each pet as if they were a member of my family. I know I am a better all around person for being around dogs and other pets while growing up. I am looking to care for your pet and provide a nurturing environment. I currently sit for family and friends pets ( from Pugs, to Newfoundlands, labs, bull dogs, to Cavalier King Charles) I familiar with them all but they don't leave on trips often enough - so I dont always get a chance to sit for them :) So this is a great option because I am able to offer you the same service I give to my closest friends and family while you are away. I have plenty of time and energy to spend on walks, cuddles, catch, and trips to the dog park or walks through Quiet Waters! Why I love dog sitting I was born into a family that owned dogs. I was lucky enough that my parents instilled the love of animals, especially dogs in all of us. Currently, I am in a condo (portion of a house) and feel for a long term commitment it may not be a good space for a dog so I would love the opportunity to give lots of attention and love to another dog! About my yard I live in an apartment a couple blocks from downtown with a great walking areas trail, and lots of green space but I do not have my own yard. My experience administering medication Yes, I have done this on many occasions.

Maureen did an excellent job caring for my senior disabled dog. I received lots of photos and she communicated very well. Zoe enjoyed her stay with Maureen.

Maureen was amazing - she and her family were so warm and welcoming to my pup, and she was extremely well taken care of. I got regular updates and pictures so I felt reassured that my pup was doing well, and she was very flexible with both drop-off and pick-up. I will definitely book her again for future stays!

Maureen was absolutely amazing with our 9yo dog! I know he appreciated all the walks and play time. We couldn’t have asked for a better sitter. Next time we are in town we would love to book again!

Cannot say enough good things about boarding our anxious shepherd mix with Maureen (and Vivvie!). She was incredibly responsive, courteous and helpful throughout the entire process. Our dog Mollie had a great time and we felt completely at ease leaving her in such great hands. Highly recommend!

Where your pet will stay

Home characteristics

Non-smoking household
Has no pets

Safety, trust & environment

At my home I use a leash for walks and potty breaks. At a clients home I follow whatever their norm is - backyard fenced, collar, harness, etc.

A typical day

Here's where we'll take our walks I would take them around my neighborhood there is a great trail. If they enjoy people or being around other dogs I will also take them for a stroll downtown or to the dog park (quiet waters). Your dog's sleeping arrangement I just babysat a dog that wasnt comfortable until they were in my bed. I have others where they love the comfort of their own bed my job is to make the experience to me to not be too stressful for the dog. Time I'll spend with your dog I plan on spending at least 5 hours, before work I take them for two walks and when I arrive home my time is devoted to them. I enjoy the walks and time outside and love to see them exploring. I also like taking them to the dog park (if they like this) to a dog beach, or a walk downtown.

I would like to know what does their daily schedule look like, things that they are afraid of, and items that they love and are comforted by. How long they like to walk :)
