About: I understand that most animals need companionship when they are lonely. They want to feel loved and have their needs met while their humans are away. I’ve had a couple of senior dogs of my own before and have taken care of them daily by helping them outside to potty and being gentle with walks by going slower and giving them lots of chatty time and treats if they are allowed. Making sure they have access to clean water and food if being fed. I don’t mind cleaning up any accidents that may have happened before I arrived. We have had puppies a few times and know they need boundaries and lots of play time and affection to grow up and be happy sociable dogs. I love taking them on walks and teaching them to sit and stay. I’m also knowledgeable with feeding them and providing clean water and potty time as needed- also putting them back in their crates if they are crated. Dogs love to be talked to and brushed and petted and told how adorable they are every single day! I currently work part time and am looking to work a little more to earn money. Since I love animals it makes sense to earn money helping people with their pets I prefer to care for my client’s pets in their home or yard. I can crate animals and feed them and give medication(s)- let them out to play and take them on walks or to a nearby park if preferred. I will make sure they each have clean water, feed them if required or give them a treat, and a hug when I leave and make sure they are secured and the door/gate/cage door(s) are all locked before leaving
About: because I'm not working at the moment I can focus on your dog all day. because I potty trained my dogs I can help with continuing your potty training if needed. I really love my dogs and I know how it feels to leave your dog with someone else so I will make sure you get daily pictures if you like. I'm currently just enjoying the summer and looking towards watching your fur baby. I don't work at the moment. I stay home all day as well. I have a fenced yard. I will make sure your dog stays in the same room as me so I can keep an eye on them at all times. I don't like cages. but if cages are needed than I can :)

About: I have been walking and house sitting dogs and cats since I was about 15 years old off and on just to help my neighbors out (I’m currently 21). I’m very comfortable with animals and understanding of their weird quirks as I grew up on a farm. I have owned and fostered many different sizes of dogs, from Pyrenees to Chihuahua, I love them all! I originally from Yosemite, CA but I just moved to Arizona and would love to help anyone with their pet needs. I have just moved to Arizona from California and am new to the area but very eager to explore! I can be available day or night to be with your animals. I have my own car and no kids (just a husband lol) so I don’t have too much that’s holding me down! My husband is in the Marine Corps working in ATC on base. I will be completely respectful of a clients home and leave it just as it was found. I would also be completely respectful and caring towards any animal. My last job was as a housekeeper so I am no stranger to keeping a place tidy! I have pet sat for many neighbors and friends since I was 15 years old and am very comfortable around animals. For an animals safety and care I would love to send pictures, videos, or even FaceTime when it’s convenient for the client!

About: I've grown up with animals of all kinds as a child from cats, dogs, rabbits, birds and guinea pigs. I would pet sit for friends and family whenever they would go on vacation. Since moving to Yuma, I have adopted two fur babies of my own with my husband! A dachshund named Frida and a matipoo named Mustard. I'll treat your pet as if they were my own if you decide to book with me! I am in school for my Master's degree in Social Work and while I study. In addition I also work a part time job that ranges 4-6 hours. If you have a puppy, I will see if I’m able to give them the proper attention they need. I take care of my pets with schedule feedings in the morning and in the evening, take one hour walks after the first feeding, work on doing tricks with my dogs with treats, take my dogs out every two hours or when I see them pacing around the room to go outside to use the bathroom, last feeding in the evening, and a thirty to one hour walk to use the bathroom and get out some energy before bed.
“Kari was great!. She took amazing care of my dogs and always kept me updated with how they were doing, what adventures they had, etc. She took the time to meet and greet with them twice and they really liked her and enjoyed her company. She also listened to everything I had to tell her about my dogs and their schedule. I was able to go away for a few days feeling confident they were in good hands, and did not have to worry about them while I was away. Thank you!”

About: I Have taken care of dogs for 10 years, and have assisted in the birth of two litters from the same dog, I will engage with any dog. I will bathe them, feed them, walk them. I've done it all. I also am a big reptile fan and willing to learn how to care for majority of them. I currently have two tortoises and two snapping turtles in my backyard. I'm working 1 job part-time but looking to be more engaged with Rover. I am available for home sitting on the weekends more than in the week. But I would love to come see your pet later in the day! I gain your pet's trust. When first meeting let them come to me, and make sure to be safe and welcoming towards them and enrich them with their toys and make sure that they know I'm here to have a good time with them.

About: Every pet I've had in the past was a member of my family and very much loved. I don't have a pet at the present time. I am retired so I have plenty of time to help pet owners with anything they might need. Keeps me busy with a purpose. I provide all types of care and meet and greets are required. I don't do puppies unless it's house sitting. FYI: If you book during a non-federal holiday (i.e. Palm Sunday, Easter, etc.) and also if travel is more than 20 miles from me, my prices might be adjusted upwards to accommodate. I have a fenced front/back yard, a large grass common area and a community dog park/run for pups to run and play in without a leash.
About: I really just have a love for dogs that is unmatched. And my dog Dodger will love to have a new friend. He is amazing with other dogs and loves to play all day. I work Monday through Friday, but my dog always has free roam of the house and yours will too. I spend time playing with my dog everyday around 11am so your dog will have all the attention needed. Your dogs will be welcomed and treated like my own with free range of the backyard and home. We will go on early morning walk daily.

About: I’ve taken care of dogs, cats, even bearded dragons and fish. Ive pet-sat professionally for the past four years and I’ve gotten the experience of working with so many wonderful people and animals. I’ve also served as a foster parent for the local animal shelter for multiple pets before animals were eligible for adoption. I’m currently working full time but I have the option to work from home and my office is centrally located in town so I have plenty of flexibility! I’m available for boarding either during the day working from home, after work or on the weekends! I can easily crate your babies if needed but don’t mind letting me wander about when I’m home and ensuring that they are comfortable. I make sure to lock up the house to ensure safety for both me and the family I’m sitting for.

Whether it’s trips to the park, weekend family adventures, or cross-state travels, our dogs come with us wherever we go. Their happiness and well-being are always our top priority. I’ve cared for dogs since I was 4 years old, and I’ve always felt a deep connection with animals. Walks, playtime, belly rubs, and making sure they feel safe and loved are what I do best. I believe every dog deserves a joyful, active life, and I’d be honored to help you give that to yours. As a military wife with access to Marine Corps Air Station Yuma, I’m also happy to support military families with flexible, reliable pet care. Whether your pup needs a walking buddy, a check-in pal, or just someone to keep them company while you’re away, I’m here to help! Treating your dog with the same care and love I give my own. I’m currently a full-time student and not working, which means I have a very flexible schedule and am available most of the day to care for your pet. About: Home has a fenced in yard, pets will never be outside alone, and will only be out to go potty. I can give daily medications, and care for special diets. Have experience in caring for old dogs, and dogs with chronic medical conditions that require very strict diet and care. Pets will have access to fresh water and be kept on their normal feeding schedule and daily routine to the best of my ability while they’re in my home and you’re away, thank you for looking at my profile! I currently work part time so your fur friends won’t be alone for long. Someone is generally always home during the day. We try to keep our fur friends on your schedule the best we can. I have a doggy door that leads to a fenced in area for potty breaks. Fur friends have free run of our entire house as long as someone is home. If your fur friend is used to a kennel, we have plenty of space to accommodate it.
“John was very helpful when I had a change of plans last minute and needed someone to walk and check in on my dog. I would highly recommend him and will be using his services in the future for sure.”

About: Well I’ve owned several of my own pets since the age of 5 and I still take care of 4 of them to this day. I am very experienced with cats/kittens and puppies and dogs. I have raised my own dog daisy since the age of 5 and got her a sister at 15 that i still take care of to this day, Daisy is a very happy hyper dog for her age too. :) Now I own two kittens of my own that are now 6 months, but I had owns a kitten named cuddles when I was 12 for 3 years. :) I am very experienced with animals and love spending quality time with them. I take care of my own kittens daily, feed them regularly and play with them all the time. They get so much love they love being carried and cuddle. :) I am a very respectful young woman I was always raised to have very good manners and to respect others home and respecting people in general no matter the situation. I as a person also like having things tidy and clean so I do not like to be a messy person.
About: Always had pets growing up, primarily mid to large sized dogs and random critters. While I can't currently own any of my own, I would love to hang out with and give some attention to yours! Right now my schedule is 8 days on, 6 days off. So essentially, all day every day every other week I can be available for walking and sitting, or just home visits mid day to let pets ourlt for potty breaks etc. I do not currently have the ability to bring any pets to my home, but depending on the set up at the home of the client, monitored backyard runs or leashed walks would probably be the starting point of interacting with new pets.

Yes, you can find sitters who have experience administering medication or managing dietary requirements. You can also find pet sitters who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and request a Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement walker.
