“The best review should always start, I think, with “I came home to happy fur babies.” And that’s how this one starts! Becky also gets high marks from the humans here. She was understanding and compassionate about our loss of one of our dogs prior to the start of the booking. During the booking she kept us updated and sent pictures of the pets and it was clear all were having a good time. In addition to all of that, she also was able to let the AC tech in to fix an AC issue that came up. We are so glad we found Becky and it was so nice to come home to happy pets and a welcoming house.”

“Kari was absolutely amazing! She took care of my special needs dog just like he was her own. She kept me updated with texts, pics, etc. She is punctual, dependable, and quick to respond. She truly has a way with animals! I will definitely use her again and recommend her to everyone!”

“We couldn't be happier with the care our dogs received while we were away. From the very beginning, communication was excellent. We received daily texts and photos, which gave us tremendous peace of mind and allowed us to truly enjoy our vacation knowing our pets were in good hands. She followed all of our instructions carefully, kept us updated consistently, and went above and beyond our expectations. Our dogs were happy, relaxed, and clearly well cared for when we returned home. There were no messes in the house, our mail was brought in, and she even watered our garden for us. It's not easy to leave your pets and home in someone else's care, but she made the entire experience stress-free. We would absolutely trust her with our dogs again and highly recommend her to anyone looking for a reliable, caring, and professional pet sitter.”

“Gloria did a PERFECT job with my pups! My girls loved her and she followed instructions to a T. She was right on time and did exactly what was asked. I'm VERY happy with her services! I will definitely book her again! :-)”

“Thank you so much for loving my fur, babies while I was gone! I think they really have accepted you into their pack! You are very dependable and trustworthy, and really went above and beyond what was expected of you! Thank you so much for what you did!”

“Audrey was phenomenal. We have three huskies with specific needs and she cared for them flawlessly, kept me updated the entire time, and sent tons of pictures. Definitely will rebook if she has openings!”

About: Pet Care has always been a huge part of my life. From growing up with dogs of all sizes to being a pet parent myself. It's part of my everyday life. Everything from bathing them to playing with them. Whether it's a dog, cat or reptile, I can handle it. When an animal is in my care, I assure that their physical and social needs are met, while providing them with a safe environment to comfortably explore. I take time to assess my space or your space to assure that any potential dangers or risks are removed.
“This was our first time using rover and Taylor was amazing! She sent pictures all throughout the day and was very attentive with our fur babies. Made us feel very comfortable leaving our fur babies in her care. We will definitely be using her in the future!”

“Nina was great with our pups! She sent daily updates while she stayed in our home and left the house in great condition. The pups really enjoyed her company! We will not hesitate to rebook with Nina in the future 😊”

“Elizabeth is amazing! I always feel so confident that our dogs and cat are well cared for and loved just like they would be if we were home! A multi-pet household with our crazy babies can be hard to manage but she does it flawlessly! She’s watched our pets for twice now and we will always reach out to her first when we need care!”

About: Always had pets growing up, primarily mid to large sized dogs and random critters. While I can't currently own any of my own, I would love to hang out with and give some attention to yours! Right now my schedule is 8 days on, 6 days off. So essentially, all day every day every other week I can be available for walking and sitting, or just home visits mid day to let pets ourlt for potty breaks etc. I do not currently have the ability to bring any pets to my home, but depending on the set up at the home of the client, monitored backyard runs or leashed walks would probably be the starting point of interacting with new pets.
About: I have taken care of animals since I was 12. My parents, friends, grandparents, neighbors, in-laws, and others have depended on me to take care of their pets. I have watched pets of all types, ages, and health needs. So if you need overnight care, drop in visits, or just a good walk in the person for you I’m currently working part-time. I can do overnight stays any day. I work primarily afternoons and nights so I am usually available in the mornings for visits/walks or night visits/walks. If you would like me to stay during the day I would be gone from 1/2pm-7/8pm I do not offer any services in my home. But in your home I would feed, walk, give medications, clean up after, and love on your animal.

About: I am a senior lady who loves to take care of animals! All are unique in personality and I love figuring them out! I have had many dogs live good long lives, and I am well versed in Senior Care. My experience includes birds, guinea pigs, cats, hamsters, dogs, and open to more! I will keep your home secure and your pets safe, while you are gone and your pets and I will have fun along the way! I am retired, so my daily routine will revol around you home and pet needs. I am up for exercise for myself and your dog, walking is my first choice! Cats are a bit harder and it generally is play, also I am not opposed to leashing and taking your cat outside if that is part of their routine. I need to sit at your home, and I will care for it like it was my own. I notice and decifer the animals que's very quickly, so after a morning potty, usually it's time to eat. Then we would get in some exercise. After that a nap is usually in order.

Molli is such a kind and caring person! Left my boy for the very first time and he did so well with her, and gave him so much love and sent tons of pictures to make me feel really happy and secure that he was safe with her. She also left my apartment spotless better than any cleaning I could’ve done lol!

Beyond belly rubs and feeding schedules, a house sitter’s presence may provide an additional layer of security for your home. However, you will need to arrange overnight stays and other household tasks with your sitter when reaching out to them. Not all sitters offer the same services. Common household tasks you can negotiate include:
- Mail & deliveries: Collecting letters and packages so they don't pile up.
- Plant care: Keeping your indoor or outdoor garden hydrated.
- Trash & recycling: Taking trash cans to the curb on scheduled pickup days.
- Home security: Sitters can stay overnight to keep your home occupied.
The best way to align on expectations is during your free Meet & Greet. Use this time to provide a "home cheat sheet" that includes your preferred Yuma walking routes, the location of your favorite pet store, and any specific quirks about your home’s security or appliances.
It’s helpful to think of house sitting as a "home base" service. Most sitters in Yuma maintain their normal daily routines, like running errands or heading to the office, meaning your pet should be comfortable being alone for a few hours at a time. If your pet needs a little extra company, here is how to find the perfect match:
- Look for "WFH" sitters: Many sitters mention "Work from Home" on their profile to indicate they’ll be present for the majority of the day.
- Update your pet’s profile: Write down how long your pet can comfortably be left alone. This helps sitters quickly determine if their schedule aligns with your needs.
- Communicate 24/7 needs: Standard house sitting usually doesn't include constant supervision. If your pet requires round-the-clock care, be sure to discuss this upfront.
Tip: Use the Meet & Greet to confirm a sitter's typical "away" windows. Transparency ensures your pet stays happy and your sitter can plan their day effectively!
Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Yuma choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a lockbox or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Yuma. On Rover:

- 100% can help with daily exercise
You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
