“Laiza is the best our pups were exhausted when we picked them up, the updates with video and pictures were fantastic as we were so nervous as this was the first time leaving them alone being so far from home in Canada. Laiza was so personable from our first meet and greet as well through this visit truly an amazing person who loves dogs. We our spoiled and certainly don’t feel we would be comfortable with anyone else looking after our pups what a great experience for us as well as our boys.”

“Becky was fantastic with us and our little girl from beginning to end! Fantastic, responsive communication, patient with our concerns and questions and loving care for our baby. We have every intention of using her again during our stay in the Yuma area!”
“Joleesha and Josh love on my dog like he’s their own. They’re so flexible with scheduling. I have peace of mind every day that, when I leave my dog and work crazy hours, that he is happy and cared for and loved on. They’re the best, and my dog loves them.”

“Mrs. Chantal is absolutely fantastic! She provides superb service. I’ve booked her twice now (and more to come!) and both times Jackson has had the time of his life with her and her family. (: She provides very detailed updates throughout the day and tons of pictures and videos to keep my worry some mind at ease. Trust that with Mrs. Chantal, your pet will be in GREAT hands!”

“We were in Yuma for only a week (full time RV’ers) and had Ashley and her family take care of our pup a couple of times so he could have some play time. Our pup did a lot of laying on the couch - obviously making himself quite at home there and must’ve felt very comfortable. Ashley is excellent at communication, such a sweetheart, and great at sending updates. We highly recommend them!”

“Paulette was absolutely great. Very organized and experienced caring for dogs. She took the dogs for two walks. The dogs loved her and were very confident and calm when I picked them up. She did a meet-and-greet the day before the first day care to meet the dogs and get information about their preferences. I would highly recommend her and use her again. She was very responsive by text and phone.”

“We had such a wonderful experience with this sitter for doggy daycare through Rover! They were even taken on walks, which we really appreciated. The sitter was communicative, kind, and clearly cared about making sure our pups felt comfortable. Their little boy absolutely loved playing with and cuddling our dogs, and it was so sweet knowing they were getting extra love and attention throughout the day. Our dogs came home happy and relaxed. We enjoyed receiving photos of them while we were away too. We would absolutely book again and highly recommend!”

“I can’t say enough good things!! Cheri has made my Yuma travel visit so much less stressful! I needed to make sure my fur baby was looked after during my long shifts and I can’t say how thankful I am that I found her. She is so understanding, accommodating, and trustworthy. She always keeps me updated with how he is doing and I know he is being well taken care of. 100/10”

“Very welcoming people and flexible with pick up and drop off times. Will definitely try to book with them again whenever possible. Our boy, Yoda was actually tired when he got home. Usually he never stops wanting to play. So we know he was well cared for and walked multiple times. THANK YOU!!”
About: Ive taken care of my dogs since I was really young. Family and my friends rely on me with their pets. Animals are my heart I’m currently working 8 hr shifts but I’m not happy with that job. This job seems like an excellent job for me since I’ll be working with animals. I have a fenced yard, and two lovely dogs that are well tamed and trained. I can easily use crate if needed at any time.
About: because I'm not working at the moment I can focus on your dog all day. because I potty trained my dogs I can help with continuing your potty training if needed. I really love my dogs and I know how it feels to leave your dog with someone else so I will make sure you get daily pictures if you like. I'm currently just enjoying the summer and looking towards watching your fur baby. I don't work at the moment. I stay home all day as well. I have a fenced yard. I will make sure your dog stays in the same room as me so I can keep an eye on them at all times. I don't like cages. but if cages are needed than I can :)
“Rusty, my Mini-Aussie, and I both suffer from separation anxiety, rarely being apart. Rusty immediately took a liking to Melissa, and I knew right away he would do well in their spacious, beautiful home. Melissa really took care to assure me that Rusty would be well taken care of. You can rest assured, Melissa is the right kind of person to leave your dog with. Melissa and her husband Mike have a pup that I called Velcro, since he was often stuck at their feet. Velcro is a truly happy dog.”

About: Neighbors, family, and friends have relied on me throughout the years to babysit their furbabies. I treat them as if they were my own 💓 I work from home and get off early in the day. About: Hi, I’m Lacy! I’ve been caring for animals since I was 9 through 4-H, where I learned how to care for animals like family. I’m now a dog mom myself, and when I’m not helping people around Yuma as a Realtor, I’d love to help care for your pup too. I know how much trust it takes to leave your dog with someone new, so I’ll make sure they feel safe like they’re my own. Pet care fits naturally into my routine because my schedule is pretty open for the most part. I’m happy to work with each pet’s routine and make sure they get the care, attention, and love they’re used to. I’m very open to caring for pets in their own home, where they may already feel most comfortable. I’m happy to follow their normal routine with feeding, walks, potty breaks, playtime, and any special instructions you provide.
“Great experience! Giovanni was available on short notice, and took the time to do a meet-n-greet. Overall excellent job caring for my pup. Rocky had a great time, and I appreciated receiving photos and updates throughout the day. It’s such a relief to have found a reliable local sitter that Rocky enjoys spending time with. Dog parents share their Rover experiences - Yuma
Isabelle cares for my two boys. They are very needy and require lots of cuddles and reassurance. They had sooo much fun! She has a big toy box that they happily raided. Isabelle was able to hand feed treats to my most shy guy- which says a lot! I highly recommend Isabelle and will definitely use her again, even though I don’t live in Yuma, I regularly travel to Mexico and need a loving caregiver during those trips.

Shylynn was amazing! She took such great care of Rex and Kazu while we were away. Both dogs were happy, calm, and well-loved when we picked them up. She’s reliable, kind, and clearly loves animals—we couldn’t have asked for a better sitter! We’ll definitely be booking with her again

Sitters on Rover can offer flexible scheduling, so you can coordinate times that work best for you and your pet—whether that’s early drop-off or later pick-up to match your Yuma commute.
If your schedule changes, it’s best to let your sitter know through the app as early as possible. Many sitters can adjust pick-up and drop-off times when needed.
Think of doggy day care as your dog’s fun, supervised play date that happens to fit into your workday. Day care through Rover takes place in a real home. This offers a calmer and more personalized environment for your pup.
A typical day can include companionship, one-on-one attention, and same day pick-up and drop-off. Many sitters can also offer structured routines and exercise throughout the day. For recurring, weekly day care, sitters will include photo updates so you can see your dog in their element.
Here are tips for finding the ideal day care fit for your dog:
- For some small dogs: In-home day care can be the perfect fit. Look for sitters whose "can host" section only lists dogs weighing 0–7 kilograms and/or 7–18 kilograms. During your Meet & Greet, ask about play areas based on dog size and energy level.
- For high-energy dogs: The ideal doggy day care can offer scheduled breaks and outdoor spaces or activities. You can also find sitters who host multiple dogs to satisfy your pup’s socializing needs.
- For dogs who prefer human-only companionship: Use the filters "Doesn't own a dog" and "Only accepts one pet at a time" to find the right care.
Play groups can be an option when you book with a day care sitter through Rover. Many sitters do host a small number of dogs at the same time. Smaller dog packs are generally safer, more fun, and ideal for dogs who enjoy playtime but also want to relax throughout the day. When looking for your dog’s pack, check the sitter’s profile to see if they "Accept multiple clients" or have their own dogs. Then during the Meet & Greet, you can see whether your dog is a good fit for their social circle!
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in AZ ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
