“Keira was very loving and attentive to our two large dogs when she dropped in for walks & dinner time. She even made time to come over for a meet & greet earlier in the day prior to the visit.”

About: I’ve worked at a dog daycare/boarding facility and at a pet store and have worked freelance watching pets and homes ever since! I’ve watched pets from a few months old to 18 years old. I can’t wait to meet you and your pet! :) I’m a Master’s student with a remote job so most days I only have set plans for about 3 hours at a time. I’m quite organized and happy to modify my schedule when possible to suit the needs of your pet I know it can be scary to let a stranger into your home but please know I am a quiet, clean, non-drinker and non-smoker who will happily spend all her downtime playing with animals
“Madeline was great. The pets loved her and we had great communication with lots of fun pictures and updates. Our fur babies were in safe hands and we're very happy.”

“Melanie is always communicative and very good with our dog. Our dog is picky with who he likes. I like to say he is a good judge of character and he warmed up to Melanie quickly!”

“Sydney did an excellent job walkiing my puppy. She was reliable ,very pleasant to be around, and my dog. was always excited when he saw her coming. I would not hesitate to hire her again. Nancy B.”
“Joshua helped me out at the very last minute when I sprained my ankle. He agreed to an hour walk each day and showed up right on time. It was drizzling on day two, and he didn’t seem to mind at all. My German Shepherd Abby took to him right away and enjoyed her walk. We will use Joshua again in the future!”

About: I’ve taken care of dogs ever since I was little. Being a personal dog owner, I have learned truly what it’s meant to care for our furry friends. They mean so much to us, there with us through the good and bad times. Lifting us up when we feel down. I care greatly for them. I know the importance of keeping them safe and healthy. Walking them daily, feeding them, grooming to bathing, I do it all! I currently am working part time so I can manage a balanced schedule of caring for your beloved, furry friend when you need! From letting them out every few hours or full time at your place if you need! As I cannot house pets at this time, I do an amazing job for caring for your dog at your home. I value honesty, safety, and hard work for you, your family’s home and pet. I’ll always be sure to make you feel like your pet and home is well entrusted in my care!
“Megan was absolutely amazing with Sadie!! Sadie loved her right away and I’m so glad to find someone I could trust to take care of her while I’m at work. I would 100% recommend her to anyone!”

About: In addition to taking care of my own dog growing up, I worked at a dog daycare and boarding facility for 4 years, where I supervised, played with, and took care of all kinds of dogs. I work 10 hour shifts Monday-Thursday. For dogs that are okay being left alone for that amount of time, I am available all days of the week. For those who need more frequent care and engagement during the day, I am available Thursday evening through Sunday. I will take care of your dog(s) as if they are my own, loving on them, playing with them, and just keeping them company while you’re away.
About: Hi there! My name is Emily, and I am an avid dog lover living in The Land. I grew up in a house of other dog lovers and have spent a lot of time taking care of my own furry friend as well as those of others. I love playing with, running with, and just spending time with dogs of all sizes and ages. I have experience watching many different breeds of dogs, from corgis to weimaraners to goldendoodles, and have stayed overnight with many of them. I have watched energetic puppies as well as calmer older dogs who require medication. I work at a high school, so over the summer I have lots of availability during the day. I look forward to hearing from you! I work at a high school and am currently on summer break, so I have a lot of availability during the work week as well as many weekends. Stepping into someone else’s space and taking care of their pet(s) requires a lot of trust, and that is something I do not take lightly.
About: I enjoy helping take care of pets and spending time with them, doing these things helps with my well being and mental health on a daily basis. I currently use Rover full time and I am going to school, the perfect combination for watching furry friends at any time of day, or do over night watch if need be. I will ensure that the instructions given to me by owners are followed as requested and that any animal under my care will be provided with safety and comfort.
About: Hello! And thank you for considering me to care for your pet while you're away! I have had two dogs myself and know how hard it is to leave your babies for a vacation or a really long day. I know you want someone who is responsible and will provide the same amount of care and love for your pet as you would. I would love to be that person for you! In addition to being raised with dogs, I also had a house full of animals: 2 cats, hamsters, reptiles (mostly lizards and snakes) and birds. As an adult I have had two dogs, a cat and a rabbit. I work remotely, so your furry loved ones will have plenty of attention and snuggles as I am home most of the day, if not all day. I am currently based in AZ usually slow traveling through the US with a lot of my time spent in Austin, TX and Jackson, WY. Please note: Housesits are available in Flagstaff, Sedona, and Phoenix AZ, Jackson, WY, Austin, TX, and Milwaukee, WI. I often housesit with my partner who joins for a few days or the whole stay (pictures in profile) He's my cat whisperer. I look forward to meeting you and your pets and providing the best care possible! Thank you for putting your trust in me. :) I work remotely 7-5pm AZ time but it's very flexible. For house visits I'm available during the lunch hours and after 4 or 5pm AZ time. Since I work remotely I spend a lot of time in your home with your babies so they will get plenty of attention throughout the day and I can mirror your scheduled easily.

Dog parents share their Rover experiences - Flagstaff
Xia did an amazing job walking our pups while we were out of town. My parents were staying with them at the house but Xia's daily visits for walks kept the dogs very happy. I will definitely use her services again for walks or dogsitting because our dogs just adore her and are so very happy to spend time with her.

Sophia is a sweetheart I came to flagstaff to pet sit my sons husky ( i bit off more than I could chew) but I also brought my terrier and that wasn’t smart on my part, Sophia took smoke while It started raining (she called it barely sprinkling) and I appreciate her for taking him out in the dark, she kept him safe and clean he loved her!!

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement walker.
