“Sara was so communicative and caring for Luna while we were away for just over a week. She sent regular updates and took great care for her. 10/10 recommend Sara for caring for your pets!”

“Jenna was fantastic! One of our dogs is not the friendliest with strangers, and Jenna went above and beyond. She was patient with him even as he barked and growled at her, and slowly earned his trust. By the end of her watching him they seem to be great friends! We definitely would and already have booked her again!”

“Josh was fantastic with our two young (and somewhat high maintenance) kitties. His correspondence, followup, and details on his visits were such a relief and comfort as this was the first time they were left at home. I knew our kitties were in dependable hands, and he established such a warm rapport with them immediately, I think they missed him when our vacation was over! Josh is an expert Rover sitter and very familiar with the platform which was so helpful to us when we had to change an earlier booking due to illness. We appreciated his flexibility and help through that as well.”

“Lauren did an excellent job caring for our Pacha while we were away for vacation. She was respectful and had great communication. Our pup was happy and well cared-for, and upon our return, our home was in the same condition as when we left. Every week is different, but I'm available almost every weekday and most weekends. My backyard is secure and big dog approved with plenty of room to run around. Keira was amazing!!! She took great care of the dogs and the house. She sent pictures every drop-in visit, gave the doggies treats, ensured they had their vitamins, made sure they were fed properly and overall provided a wonderful experience for the dogs and for us while we were away. We will definitely rebook if she is available.

Also, she was very flexible with our last minute delay home, providing an additional drop-in to keep Pacha content until our return. Would highly recommend Lauren watch your pet!

Called watched our dog on short notice. Our dog immediately took very well to Calley. She came twice a day, walked and fed her and made sure she had pets and lots of loving while we were out of town. She made sure to keep us informed and sent lots of pictures. Would definitely recommend her to watch anybody’s animals anytime.

Milani was an excellent sitter. I really appreciated her flexibility - she was willing to make an extra stop to put a package inside and added an extra visit when my flight home got delayed. The pictures and report card she sent were very sweet and I knew my pets were well cared for.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
