About: Experience with dogs of all ages & breeds, able to provide regular or one time dog walking of any preferred distance & occasional dog sitting as needed! I work as a nurse with a very flexible schedule- able to provide Monday & Tuesday regular visits/walks and Wed-Sun every other week. Can do anytime that works for you! My home has one cat so only able to provide in house visits with cat friendly dogs! Visits in client homes preferred, but can accommodate occasional boarding.

About: I have pet sit dogs and cats many times for my family. Pets have always been a part of my family, mostly dogs and also sometimes cats. Also at one point an aquarium of fish. Currently I do not have any pets of my own because they are not allowed in the rental lease. I also know of some of the natural area trails and parks in the nearby area that would be good to take dogs for a walk at. My current schedule for pet care can be fit to a wide range of times most days. Other current work activities are mainly involving the start of a small farm type business and volunteer work. I make sure that safety is always a priority and taken into account, one of the main areas of focus being to keep any doors monitored and closed so that a pet does not go outside by accident. Also keeping awareness of any food or other objects in a client's home that a pet could get to by accident.

About: My family has had pets for years-first a bunny, now cats, and we fostered a dog a few years ago. I’ve spent the last few years house/pet sitting in my hometown, and I’m now bringing my skills to Burlington in hopes to fund a spring semester abroad. I’ve cared for many animals before, from rambunctious puppies to a senior dog with arthritis in its final year of life. I love spending time outdoors and love my time even more when I get to share it with a furry friend! I’m a full time student at UVM with lots of free time I’d love to spend with your pet. MWF I have class for 2 hours a day, and TTh I have class for 3 hours in the morning and 1 hour in the evening. As much as I love living in a shoebox of a dorm, I’m also available for house sitting jobs as well! I try to care for pets exactly as their owner would. I like to meet the pet with the owner the first time, so they can meet me with a “trusted adult” as it helps build rapport with the animals. I meet them and their needs wherever they’re at: whether they’re excited and want to play or simply lay around all day, I’m happy to join in.

About: Since my first job pet-sitting dogs at 9, I've loved caring for and hanging out with animals. I've worked with animals of all ages, sizes, and species, including litters of husky puppies, guinea pigs, and full-sized pigs. The internship I'm currently working is part-time, so my schedule has a lot of flexibility. I am free Friday through Mondays as well as Tuesday-Thursday after 4pm. I'm available and happy to care for your pet in whatever capacity is most helpful, whether that be bathroom breaks, walking, or house-sitting. My only limitation is boarding, as my apartment is pet-free.

About: I grew up with dogs (1 lab and 2 doodles), and I miss them so much while I am away at school. I have cared for neighbors’ and friends’ dogs since I was in middle school, offering both dog-walking and overnight pet care services. I also have experience caring for salt-water aquaria. About: I am a professional dog groomer and have been working with dogs of all ages and temperaments. I have senior care experience and experience with training puppies the basics. Being a pet groomer I’ve made pet care my career. Every morning before work I take my own pet for a small walk and to potty before breakfast. Most days your pet will come with me to work to hangout with me and other pets unless requested otherwise. Potty breaks will be given as needed. Dinner will be given around l 530pm at 630 we will go for a walk typically half a mile then come home for free play and to settle in for the night. I have a dog of my own named Goose that would love to keep your pet company if they are interested. We will go on a walk in the afternoon and have enrichment time. I can easily crate your dog if needed or go over any training you might be working on.

About: Dogs have been a part of my life since I was born. Whether it was the family dog or one of my own, they've always been a part of my world. Numerous friends have asked me to dog sit for them, or even provide kitty playtime when they are out of town. I have experience with senior dogs and animals that require medication or special needs. Every pet is different, and I am committed to making sure they each receive the specific love and care they deserve. I currently work full time as an assistant manager of a local hotel, but will be providing pet care on my days off which are Tuesday and Wednesday, as well as after work which usually ends around 6pm. Safety is a high priority when it comes to our loved ones. When I am around dogs and cats, I am always reading body language and taking my cues from them. I believe in making sure every adventure we go on together is safe and controlled. I am attentive, professional, and flexible if the situation calls for it.

About: I have taken care of dogs of all ages, breeds and sizes since I was in 5th grade and had a rescue of my own. I have been a puppy raiser for Guide Dogs For The Blind since 2021 and have raised 3-4 puppies. I am an animal science enthusiast and love getting to know each animal. I have experience with dog training and socializing, medication administration, dog walking (any breed), animal handling and much more. I would love to work with you and your pets to make your Rover experience as smooth and good as possible. I am currently a college student and hope to become a dog trainer or something like that someday. I will have plenty of time to work with you and make your pet’s experience with great. I am willing to work with you on scheduling however needed. I am a very observant person and good at seeing how an animal is feeling and how to handle their preferences. I will keep your house and whatever I use clean and in as good of shape as I found it or better.

About: School psychologist during the school year, Rover sitter during the summer! I always grew up with dogs in my home, and I have a 6-year-old rescue myself. I have experience with dogs with significant behavioral difficulties (aggression, anxiety, reactivity to other dogs) as well as a year of agility training with my dog where I worked closely with a dog trainer. I also volunteer at the humane society of Chittenden county. I am currently on summer vacation, and am looking for some furry friends to keep me entertained over the summer! My schedule this summer is pretty open. I am available during the week and weekends, and can be flexible to meet your time needs. When caring for pets, safety and trust are my top priorities. I understand dogs boundaries and behavior and am happy to accommodate based on each animals specific needs. When caring for your pet/s, I respect your space and follow all instructions closely. I make sure your pet/s will stick to their normal routine to minimize stress while you’re away. I also keep a close eye on behavior or health changes and will alert you immediately if I notice anything out of the ordinary. Building trust with pets—and their people—is so important! I take time to get to know each pet’s personality, needs, and preferences so they feel safe and cared for, every step of the way.

About: I’ve taken care of pets since childhood, specifically 3 dogs that were very much a part of the family. I’ve house and pet sat for multiple family members and friends including overnights with dogs and drop ins for cats. My friends all have pets (cats and dogs) and I’m no stranger to how different pets can be in different environments. I’ve been with dogs that are leash only and outdoor. I’m a homebody, so outside of work hours, I often will be hanging around in the evening. I’m available overnight stays Saturday - Monday. Walks and drop-ins anytime Mondays and Tuesdays 2-6:30 pm. Wednesday - Fridays I’m available for walks and drop-ins 6-7:30pm. In a client’s home, I make sure to pay close attention to a pet’s routine, how things are done and what makes them most comfortable. Really making sure things are smoothly done and calm.
