About: I have been looking after my neighbors' animals and my own for years, so I have a lot of experience when it comes to pets. I love dogs of any shape and size, and having bigger dogs myself has taught me how to handle them. I have a pretty good grasp on dogs and their behavior due to having an interest in them since I was little. I am happy to do just about anything, whether that be feeding, walking, playing with, or just hanging out with your dog. I am quick to learn how to do things as well, so if they have special requirements, I am happy to learn! I work part-time and am looking for something to supplement my time over the summer, as hours are hard to come by right now. My schedule is very flexible, as I don't get up to much. I can be there as early or as late as you need, though I am more of an afternoon-night person. I am happy to do whatever is necessary to keep your pet safe and comfortable. If they need to be put in a crate or kept in a specific room of the house, I can handle that! I also have experience with keeping pets from darting out the door on my way in and out, so no worries about escapees!
About: Every since I got my first cat my life has never been the same. Now I always love to take care of all my pets for my friends and family house sitting and long walks. I'm a college student, so over the summer I have copious amounts of free time that allows me to flexibly take care of pets throughout the day. I ensure that all their primary needs are first satisfied, food, water, and walks, then I like to ensure that they get plenty of attention for the time I'm with them.
“Michele was an amazing asset. She did such a fabulous job taking care of my two cats, that they appeared to be disappointed it was me when I came home. Clearly, they were well taken care of in my absence.”

“Olivia did a great job with our senior cat. From our initial meet & greet to and throughout our trip she was kind, knowledgeable, punctual, attentive, and eager to help. We greatly appreciated her updates and photographs, reassuring us our girl was being well cared for in our absence. Many thanks to Olivia, we will definitely be calling on her again in the future.”
“Midori did a great job caring for our two cats. She followed our instructions and also gave them a lot of attention and play time. We will definitely book with her again! 🐈🐈”

About: I care about every animal and pay close attention to any extra care they need. Thank you for considering me to help take care of your pets! I currently work full time and go to school full time. I am very good at time management and will always fit pet care into my schedule. I’m very respectful of clients space and know how to approach a dog thoughtfully. I love all animals, no matter if they are reactive or not and know how to respond to any situation.
About: Ever sense I was a kid I've loved taking care of any animal under the sun, and I still do. When I got my first dog I was so excited and loved him no matter what. I am currently not working so I have all the time in the world for your pets. I am avaliable on weekdays at anytime and will give your pets the attention they want. I can give all of my attention to your pets and make them feel happy and excited or the opposite where both of us can relax and enjoy eachothers company.

About: I have taken care of my family's large dogs all my life and volunteered at a local animal shelter for several years, walking, brushing and exercising dogs! I am comfortable with dogs of all shapes, sizes, and energy levels! I am a new graduate nurse, so spending time with animals and getting out of the house is exactly what the doctor ordered! My schedule is flexible, I am available most days that I am not working. I would be happy to walk leash-trained dogs or play with them in a fenced-in environment. I am also available for check-ins, feedings, or socializations for the animals!
About: Hi! I’m a longtime pet owner and animal lover who knows how stressful it can be to leave your animals, even for a short time. I offer drop-in visits only and can care for dogs, cats, chickens, and other small animals. I will always do my best to make sure they’re comfortable and cared for while you’re away. I’ve had pets my entire life and have personally cared for my and others’ pets for over 13 years, including dogs, cats, guinea pigs, rats, mice, fish, and chickens, so I’m used to juggling different routines, personalities, and needs. Whether it’s letting a dog out, feeding and checking on chickens, giving a cat some quiet attention, or making sure medications are given correctly, I’m very comfortable handling it. We’ve fostered numerous puppies, dogs, kittens, and cats through local rescues and the PRAS over the years, and between fosters and our own pets, I am also very familiar with post-surgery care and needs. I really believe pets are family, and I treat them that way. I follow instructions closely and make sure each visit includes real attention. My goal is for you to feel at ease knowing your animals are in good hands and for your pets to feel relaxed and cared for until you’re back. Thanks for reading! We work during the day but are home in the afternoons and on weekends. We do have extracurriculars a couple days of the week, but will make sure your pet is cared for if weekdays have been agreed upon. This schedule becomes much more flexible over school breaks! For drop-in visits, I care for pets in their own home where they’re most comfortable and able to stick to their normal routine. I follow your instructions closely for feeding, potty breaks, litter boxes, medications, and any special care your pet needs. Each visit includes real attention, which means playtime, walks or yard time, cuddles, or just some quiet company, depending on your instructions and your pet’s mood/demeanor. I keep an eye on behavior and appetite and will always let you know if something seems off. I also take care of the basics like fresh water, litter boxes, food checks, and making sure everything is secure before I leave.
“Nicole was a blessing in a pinch. We needed last minute care and reached out to her. She was very responsive and replied back in a timely manner. She took such great care of our Tava. She meds sure her emotional and physical needs were met. We received so many photos when updates were sent. Each time our Tava looked happy and stimulated. We will definitely be using her services again if she is available.”

About: I have experience rescuing cats and dogs and administering medication. I’ve also done house sitting and pet sitting for several homes. I enjoy running and playing with dogs to keep them active and happy, and I can also help them stay calm when needed. I offer walks up to 1 hour and can safely handle up to 3 dogs at a time. I’m comfortable cleaning up after pets, changing diapers if needed, and giving medication. I work Mondays and Wednesday–Friday from 7 to 3, and Saturdays from 3 to 11pm. I’m free all day on Tuesdays and Sundays 😊 I adapt to each home and follow the owner’s preferences and routine for their pets. I make sure they feel comfortable, safe, and cared for, whether that includes walks, playtime, feeding, medication, or keeping their space clean. I always adjust to each pet’s personality and needs.
“Kimberly was amazing! Communication was perfect and she was super easy to work with. She was able to accommodate a last-minute request, which I really appreciated. Highly recommend!”

“She was super responsive and gave so many updates about my fur baby! Even helped with other things at the house when i asked. Really helped us since we were gone so long that she was there every day with pics!”

About: Just a runner training to make the Olympics. I run full time which is fun but doesn’t pay the bills yet. I work and train while coaching on the side. I live in Ballard and have transportation so getting around and taking care of pets isn’t an issue! Love working with all types of animals. House sitting is always fun. I have been house sitting since I was 14 and get asked every so often to fill in and watch the pets while keeping the house clean. Willing to do anything to accommodate and make things as easy as possible for owners! Can’t wait to get started! I’m currently working full time hours, but I have flexibility in my schedule to accommodate most pets needs to be fed, walked, or played with I tend to ask questions about what the pets are allowed to do in home so that way I’m not breaking any rules or teaching unwanted habits.
About: I’ve worked at a Pet Daycare and Boarding facility for about 3 years working with animals ranging in different sizes and temperaments. I also have my certification in Canine behavior to widen my knowledge on dogs. Someone will always be home with them! I miss working with dogs so I’d be so happy to help! I’ll be happy to play fetch or chase them around. Just let me know they’re daily routine and I’ll try to follow them as best as possible :)

Dog parents share their Rover experiences - Williamsburg
Felt so comfortable with Lauren taking care of our Rocky. She expressed concern and care for him, which means so much to us! She was timely, honest, and when we came home he was in great condition and happy. Definitely plan to use Lauren again to care for our boy
Regan was amazing! She took care of our cats and dog for a full week, and we couldn’t have asked for anyone better. From the start, her communication was prompt and reassuring — we got regular updates, photos, and messages that showed how happy and comfortable our pets were. It was clear she took the time to understand each of their personalities and routines. Our dog loved her daily attention, and our cats (who can be shy) quickly warmed up to her — that alone says a lot! We came home to happy, relaxed pets and a tidy home. Regan went above and beyond in every way. We’ll absolutely be booking with her again and highly recommend her to anyone looking for someone reliable, kind, and truly caring.

From the start, Erin was amazing! She worked with our schedule and did such a wonderful job with our pups! They were so happy when we came home and we could tell they were really well cared for while we were gone. Erin kept us up to date on their daily activities and sent us lots of pictures 🙂 It was awesome seeing how much fun they were having and it really helped us to relax. Erin even straightened up the puppy blankets and brought in our mail! She is the best!!

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
While Rover doesn’t offer traditional subscription services, some sitters offer recurring bookings for services like home visits and dog walking. Recurring services come with their own perks, such as flexibility to modify services (up to five weeks in advance), automatic billing, Rover Card updates, and same-day cancellations.
