About: Hi there! I’m Inari, a lifelong animal lover, devoted pet sitter, and your pet’s newest Bestie! Puppies? No problem — I’m patient, playful, and know how to handle high energy with lots of love. I enjoy dogs of all ages and breeds actually and have had lots of experience while volunteering at the local rescue agency. Additionally, I’ve fostered with a local rescue for the past 4 years, specializing in both young kittens and senior cats. 💖 What Sets Me Apart: ✨ Flexible daily availability thanks to remote work ✨ Experienced with puppies, kittens, senior pets, and medical care ✨ 4+ years as a trusted foster partner with my local animal shelter ✨ Grew up with cats (they are family to me!) and currently care for both dogs and cats ✨ Reliable, compassionate, and always treat your pets like my own My days revolve around two things: working remotely in property management and giving animals the attention, love, and care they deserve. Because I work from home part time with a flexible schedule, I’m available for everything from leisurely walks and cuddle breaks to senior pet care and playful puppy visits — all tailored to meet your pet’s specific needs. When you welcome me into your home to care for your pets, know that you’re getting someone dependable, respectful, and mindful of boundaries. Your fur babies’ happiness, health, and safety are always my top priority. I’ve fostered with a local rescue for the past 4 years, specializing in both young kittens and Various dog breeds.

About: Animals have always been a huge part of my life, and caring for them is something I genuinely love. I have spent the last 3 years volunteering with Hope for Life Rescue and Penninsula Regional Animal Shelter, working hands on with pets of all ages, breeds, and temperaments, from bottle feeding kittens and puppies to caring for senior dogs who need extra patience and attention. I’m the go-to person for family and friends whenever they need someone reliable and loving to care for their pets, whether it’s daily walks, drop-in visits, daycare, or overnight boarding. I have experience administering medications, handling nervous or shy animals, and making sure every pet feels safe, comfortable, and cared for like family. I understand that trusting someone with your pet is a big deal, and I treat every animal as if they were my own, with patience, compassion, and plenty of love. Pet care fits naturally into my daily routine because animals are already a big part of my life. I volunteer regularly with a local rescue and animal shelter, foster when needed, and I also run my own business from home, which gives me a flexible schedule and plenty of availability for walks, drop-ins, daycare, and boarding. I provide a safe, loving, and structured environment whether I’m caring for pets in my home or in a client’s home. I have a fully fenced yard for safe outdoor time and exercise, and my own pets (two cats and one dog) are all friendly, well socialized, and up to date on their vaccines. My dog, Mercury, just turned two and is full of energy. She loves meeting other dogs and enjoys playdates, which makes her a great companion for social pups who enjoy interaction and play. My goal is always to create a calm, trustworthy environment where both pets and pet parents feel comfortable and confident.
About: I’ve cared for pets most of my life, especially dogs, and animals have always been a big part of my world. I’m currently a proud pet parent to a pug and a puggle, so I understand firsthand the daily routines, personalities, and special needs that come with caring for dogs of all kinds. I truly love animals and treat every pet in my care as if they were my own. I’m patient, attentive, and committed to making sure your pet feels safe, comfortable, and loved while you’re away. I also have experience administering medications and following specific care instructions, giving you peace of mind if your pet needs extra attention. My goal is to help other pet owners feel confident knowing their animals are in caring, capable hands and to make sure every tail keeps wagging. I work full time, but my schedule is flexible, allowing me to accommodate pet care throughout the week. I’m available most mornings before work, afternoons after work, and in the evenings. I also work from home one day a week, which gives me full flexibility that day for walks and drop-ins Your pet’s safety and comfort are always my top priorities during walks and drop-in visits. I follow all care instructions closely, use secure leashes and harnesses, and stay alert to surroundings at all times. During home visits, I respect your space, ensure doors and gates are secured, and make sure your pet is safe, calm, and well cared for.
About: Animals have always been a constant part of my life. I grew up in a home where there were always dogs and cats around, caring for them wasn’t just a responsibility, it was part of daily life. Over the years, I have personally raised and cared for three dogs of my own, each with different personalities and needs, which taught me patience, structure, and how to connect with animals on an individual level. Most recently, I adopted another dog into the family, adding even more joy and playful to the house. From energetic puppies to gentle seniors, I have experienced it all training, playtime, feeding routines, crate care, walks, and of course, lots of cuddles. Whether your pet is shy or social, active or relaxed, we understand how to make them feel safe, loved, and at home. I have a partner who has been pet sitting for her friends and co-workers last 4 years. I work at shipyard, but my work is pretty flexible that I can check out our dogs or any other pet frequently to make sure they receive enough attention love and most importantly care. Your pet’s safety and comfort are my top priorities. In my home, I provide a calm and secure environment where dogs can relax and be themselves. I have a fully fenced big yard for safe outdoor play, and I supervise all interactions to make sure everyone is happy and comfortable. I follow your pet’s routine as closely as possible — from feeding schedules to crate preferences and bedtime habits — so they feel right at home. I never use harsh corrections; instead, I rely on positive reinforcement, patience, and gentle guidance. I also keep my home clean, pet-proofed, and free of anything unsafe. Whether your dog is playful, shy, or somewhere in between, we make sure they always feel safe, respect. I will keep sending regular updates and pictures or videos so you can relax knowing your pet is in good hands
About: I've had dogs my whole life, and a cat when I was a teenager. I currently have 3 dogs, one cat, and a gecko! I'm an animal lover, my husband would say " you will always find her with the animals". I have two kids in school that I have to take and pick up, but other than that, my schedule is open. I do better with day driving so morning and day time is better for me at this time. I won't be sitting at home since I have many of my own, but I'm very punctual and respectful of others' personal spaces/homes. I can't wait to meet your baby!
About: Every dog deserves 2 walks a day and ample room to run & play! I’ve also completed basic training classes. I dog sit for multiple friends & family members. Let me know your dogs needs! I am home in the summer. I walk my dog before and after the heat of the day. My schedule is very flexible, just let me know your dog’s needs! I have a fenced in yard. My laundry room has a dog door. My mini Aussie loves to play in our half acre yard with others!
About: I have taken care of pets since I was young girl. I also have worked as a Veterinary Technician on Langley Air Force Base. I enjoy pet sitting all kinds of animals, especially dogs and cats. I am retired and involved in some weekly activities, so pet sitting fits perfectly with my schedule. I enjoy the freedom and flexibility of pet sitting, not to mention the joy of being around pets. I am attentive, detail oriented and versatile. I believe in leaving things the way I found them, or better. I always strife to do my best at whatever I do, and I am a very trustworthy person.
About: I’ve taken care of pets of all ages! I don’t mind administering medications or anything extra you need to keep your pets healthy! I will treat your babies as if they were my own! I’m currently a stay at home mom. I use to work as a vet receptionist for 4-5 years. I do some side jobs cleaning as well. But naturally I’m home 24/7 now! I would care for them like they were my own babies! Your babies are more than safe with me! I go above and beyond and I absolutely love doing so!
“Samantha was excellent with my antisocial senior cat! She took time to let her warm up to her and was actually able to pet her. She even brought a cat toy to try and get her to play. I’ll definitely be booking Sam for my future trips and highly recommend her!”

“Megan was AMAZING! Our pup can be stressed out with new people and we just lost our other pup, so he was extra stressed meeting someone new this time. Megan took her time with our baby and was so patient. She kept us informed and we are just so grateful that she cared so much! Highly recommended!”

“Fabulous! She was so understanding of our labradoodle who has a licker problem and so patient with our shih tzu who is scared of strangers. She has tons of energy and my pups were very happy.”

About: I've always loved dogs, and they seem to love me. 🤗 I'm an experienced pet sitter, and I began my pet care jouney as a child, helping to take care of our family's dog. We had a mini schnauzer and later we got a pitt bull. 3 years ago, I adopted my own dog, Rosie, and she's my best friend. 🥰 She still struggles with anxiety due to her past, but we work with it, taking things one day at a time. I'm sensitive to her anxiety by making sure she is as comfortable and calm as much as possible. She has arthritis in her back knees as well, so I try to limit her activity. I work remotely, so I am very flexible to work from your home during the day to keep your dog company and take care of them. I will follow any instructions provided, as you know your pet better than anyone, and take care of your home with the same respect I'd take care of my own.
About: I've owned and cared for just about everything under the sun; dogs, cats, birds, rabbits. If you have a high energy pooch, I love runs! During the week, pet would do best to stay at my home as I work full time! Weekends are free, so your pet will be my priority no matter where they stay. I have no dogs or cats at my house and would accompany anytime outside the house as our fence is a little damaged. Our home would be there's! At you're home, you set the boundaries and I'll make sure your floof keeps in schedule and routine.
“Jordyn was a great sitter for my pup! She was able to change plans and check in on him for an extended amount of time while my flights were delayed and I felt good knowing he was in great hands.”

About: I have 2 cats I love and have taken care of friends and family’s pets for 8 years. GSP’s, yorkies, fishies, and turtles that I love spending time with. I am also a pet photographer as well and love taking photos of them! I work remote so house sitting will not be a problem. Work from 7-4pm with an hour lunch if needed during the week as well. I love walking and playing with the dogs and cuddling cats when they want to lol. I always make sure they are feed and have water. Make sure they stay cool and warm depending on the weather and have a great time when there parents are gone.
About: Lifetime dog owner, very active. I love long walks on the beach. And so do my dogs! I currently have a 5 year old Lab/Great Dane mix and 3 year old Aussie mix. We walk and play daily. I am willing to travel for daily walks or overnight stays. All size dogs are welcome. Large dogs are no problem. I’ve got a great arm so I’m the perfect fetch partner. I update my availability weekly. Willing to send updates and pictures as requested! I have a seasonal job so when my calendar is open I’m available throughout the week and weekend. Early mornings or late nights don’t bother me! I try to view your pet as my own. I’m more than happy to double check instructions and preferences to make sure your pet is treated well!

Dog parents share their Rover experiences - Poquoson
My dog is super particular and anxious around most, but he was so calm and at ease with Sarah. I am so thankful for her. My dog usually also gets sick when I leave town, but he was doing fantastic and so healthy when I returned. Sarah is so good with dogs, and she was so professional and took this very seriously. I hope to get her help again! She’s the best.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
While Rover doesn’t offer traditional subscription services, some sitters offer recurring bookings for services like home visits and dog walking. Recurring services come with their own perks, such as flexibility to modify services (up to five weeks in advance), automatic billing, Rover Card updates, and same-day cancellations.
To find sitters in Poquoson with recurring or weekly availability, select "Repeat Weekly" and which days you’d like them to care for your pet.
